Six-year-old Hauwa was conceived in Andara, a community in Bama, Borno State. Nine months later, she was born at an IDP camp kilometers away in the heart of the local government area. Between that short period, young Hauwa’s family had gone from living a relatively stable life to becoming displaced and then — separated.
