For our first episode of the new year, we are very excited to welcome filmmaker and musician Matt Farley. For an intro to Matt's work, check out our discussion of Heard She Got Married from the start of this season.

We battled technical difficulties and sickness - but very excited to share our mammoth discussion of two films chosen by Matt

The films:

Silent Night Deadly Night Part 2 (1987) Liberally reusing footage from the first installment, SNDN2 is a classic B-movie oddity, filled with off-kilter acting, wild tonal shifts and low-budget ingenuity. Anyone who remembers the halcyon days of early YouTube may recall "garbage day!" - one of many bizarre line-readings from the film.

Freaky Farley (2007) Written by, and starring Matt -Freaky Farley is both an homage to SNDN2 and another stellar entry in the Motern-verse. Shot on 16mm, with beautiful autumnal backgrounds, FF represented a huge step up for the Farley and Roxburgh team.
