Saira: مرحباً يا جماعة وأهلاً وسهلاً بالحلقة السادسة من البودكاست "مرحبتين". شكراً على استماعكم. اليوم أنا ولينا راح نحكي عن موضوع جديد وممتع: السفر! مرحباً لينا، كيفك اليوم؟

Hello everyone and welcome to the sixth episode of the "Marhabtain" podcast. Thank you for listening. Today Lina and I are going to talk about a new and fun topic: travel! Hello Lina, how are you today?

Lina: مرحبتين! أنا منيحة الحمد لله، كيفك أنتِ؟ وكيف الأجواء عندك في لندن؟

Hello! I'm good, thank god, how are you? And how is the weather over there in London?

Saira: أنا بخير الحمد لله، والجو اليوم صيفي ولطيف بشكل غير عادي بلندن (تضحك).

I'm well, thank god, and the weather today is summery and unusually nice in London (laughs).

Lina: أوه، منيح كتير! استغلي الجو الحلو.

Oh, that's great! Make the most of the beautiful weather.

Saira: آه، طبعاً! أوكي، فخلينا نروح لموضوع اليوم، "السفر". فأول سؤال إلك لينا: شو هو بلدك المفضل؟ وشو بتحبي تعملي لما تسافري؟

Oh, of course! Okay, so let's move on to today's topic, "Travel". So, first question for you Lina: what is your favorite country? And what do you like to do when you travel?

Lina: ممم، بنقول "شو هو بلدك المفضل" أو "وين أكتر بلد بتحبي تسافري عليه". بالنسبة لي، أنا كتير بحب إيطاليا، وخصوصاً المدن التاريخية والأكل هناك. وكمان من فترة تانية بحب أروح على أماكن طبيعية وهادية، هاد الشيء بيخليني أسترخي. وأنتِ؟ وين بتحبي تسافري؟

Mmm, we say "what is your favorite country" or "where is the country you most like to travel to". As for me, I really love Italy, especially the historical cities and the food there. Also, from time to time I like to go to natural, quiet places, it helps me relax. And you? Where do you like to travel?

Saira: أنا بحب أعمل سفرية... أوه، شو حكيت؟

I like to do a trip [grammar mistake in Arabic]... oh, what did I say?

Lina: (تضحك) حكيتي "سفرية"، بنقول "بحب أسافر" أو "بحب أروح رحلات".

(Laughs) You said "safriyyah", we say "I like to travel" or "I like to go on trips".

Saira: آه، صح! بحب أسافر، وبحب كمان أكتشف ثقافات جديدة وأمشي بالشوارع القديمة. السفر بياخدني لعالم تاني وبخليني أركز وأنسى التعب.

Ah, right! I like to travel, and I also like discovering new cultures and walking through old streets. Traveling takes me to another world and makes me focus and forget my tiredness.

Lina: حلو كتير! السفر تجربة رائعة وبتوسع المدارك. هل بتحسي إنه عندك وقت كافي لتسافري مع الشغل والبودكاست؟

That's very nice! Traveling is a wonderful experience and broadens one's horizons. Do you feel like you have enough time to travel with work and the podcast?

Saira: بصراحة، بالوقت الماضي... لا، قصدي في الأيام الماضية، كنت كتير مشغولة. بس بحاول دائماً ألاقي وقت بنهاية الأسبوع لأعمل رحلة قصيرة. بس أحياناً بكون تعبانة وبس بدي أتابع مسلسل على نتفليكس وأنام (تضحك).

Honestly, in the past time... no, I mean over the past few days, I was very busy. But I always try to find time at the weekend to take a short trip. Though sometimes I'm just tired and only want to watch a series on Netflix and sleep (laughs).

Lina: (تضحك) صح، هاد طبيعي جداً! أحياناً الراحة ومتابعة الأشياء البسيطة بالبيت بتكون هي المطلوبة لـ "تغيير الجو".

(Laughs) True, that's very normal! Sometimes resting and watching simple things at home is exactly what's needed for a "change of scenery".

Saira: صح، صح (تضحك). طيب لينا، سؤال أخير: هل في بلد جديد حابة تزوريه بالمستقبل؟

True, true (laughs). Okay Lina, one last question: is there a new country you'd like to visit in the future?

Lina: أنا حابة كتير أزور اليابان، بحس ثقافتهم كتير مميزة ومختلفة، وكمان الطبيعة هناك بتجنن. وأنتِ؟

I would really love to visit Japan, I feel their culture is very unique and different, and the nature there is stunning. And you?

Saira: أنا حابة أزور بلد بيحكوا فيه لغة جديدة... ممكن إسبانيا أو الأرجنتين، وبدي أطور العربي كمان فممكن أزور بلد عربي تاني وأقرأ كتب صعبة هناك.

I'd like to visit a country where they speak a new language... maybe Spain or Argentina, and I also want to improve my Arabic so maybe I'll visit another Arab country and read difficult books there.

Lina: إن شاء الله، العربي عندك عم بيتحسن كتير بكل حلقة!

Hopefully, your Arabic is improving a lot with every episode!
