Everything you've been told about weight loss is a lie. We can sum up the driving force behind all of these lies in two simple words: racial capitalism. It is the reason fat people are both hated and exploited in equal measure. In this episode, I argue that putting an end to medical weight stigma requires us to do away with racial capitalism, and the people in power will never allow that to happen. That doesn't mean we should give up – it means it's time to start getting creative. Once you stop hoping for the impossible, you can start dreaming about what's actually possible.
