Me, You and the Elephant in the Room
I want to break open the issues that people feel strongly about and bring them into open discussion regarding mental health and emotional wellbeing.
I want people to talk about the issues around children and teens and bring to the table their expertise and observations as to how we can really bring about change for them in the way we parent, care for, educate and support them.
I will also invite inspiring people with real stories of their own where life has taken them through horrendous times but they have shown it is possible to break through ones shit and really make change in one's life.
My interviewees will all be really inspirational people with a message who will be sharing the elephant in their room whether that is the reason for the work they do, what they have learned from their childhoods or personal experience and their own journeys.

S1 E1 Kate Blewitt | Award Winning Filmmaker
I am honoured to have had the opportunity to spend time with Kate Blewett in the room, who is a multi award-winning documentary producer and director. Kate makes global films focusing on social issues of exploitation, abuse and neglect of men, women and children. Through her heartfelt and powerful films she challenges governments, corporates, organisations and ‘abusers’ across the globe. I have known Kate for many years and am in awe of this woman who is making such change across the globe.
Kate’s films include The Dying Rooms, China’s Stolen Children and Bulgaria’s Forgotten Children. She has filmed in over seventy countries and won 125 awards including 5 Emmy’s and a BAFTA Award and 3 BAFTA nominations in the United Kingdom. She is best kmown for her documentaries on human rights abuses, such as The Dying Rooms, China’s Stolen Children, Bulgaria’s Abandoned Children and Ukraine’s Forgotten Children.
Kate’s work has far-reaching impact. She has enormous heart and a determination to shed light on human exploitation in such a way that she really does change lives. Sharing space with her and discussing her life and work was such an extraordinary opportunity for me, to understand what drives her to put her life and safety on the line, to bring to the world’s attention, some of the very worst atrocities.
