Whiskey Under 50
Three novices, with very different tastes, try whiskeys (and whiskies, for you Scotch lovers) that can be purchased for less than $50 -- searching for the elusive top shelf whiskeys at a bottom shelf price. These are not whiskey pros but rather a group of friends who just love getting together to banter and taste a new whiskey. The world is full of cheap, mediocre whiskeys, but they also stumble on some gems and guide the listener to what's worth searching out.

We haven't done much local whiskey on Whiskey Under 50, but that ends today. This week we taste the local powerhouse Woodinville Whiskey Co Bourbon and put it up against some other local offerings from the nano distiller Bad Dog and the Hood River Distillery Trail's End.
You don't have to travel all the way to Kentucky to get some good whiskey - you might find it in your own backyard. Cheers!
