Hello and welcome to the Vibrant Mind Vibrant Life podcast. Now today's episode is inspired by a conversation that I heard in the sauna this week. In Fact, I often get inspiration from the conversations that I hear in the sauna. So I'm a member of the local gym. Once a week I head down there for a swim, usually an outdoor swim, which is amazing. There's a heated pool outside and when the weather is cold. I absolutely love the contrast. So going out from the cold outside into the pool makes it feel even nicer. And I think that's a really great metaphor for life in that if we just had the warm pool and it was warm outside, whilst we may think that's really delicious, the best part about getting into the warm pool is stepping out of the cold and then back in again so that you can really appreciate it. So once a week on hair wash day, I head to the gym and have a swim and a sauna and I love, love, love, love listening to what I call my sauna conversations, So I just lie back, relax, and whilst I'm sweating it all out, whilst I'm detoxifying, people will be having conversations, and it gives me such an insight into people's thought processes, the way that they're perceiving situations and the world and their interaction within it. And that's where I got the inspiration for today's episode. So, what is today's episode then? Today I want to talk about some of the unconscious blocks that we're often completely unaware of. That's why they're unconscious. They're essentially steering the ship of this thing that we call life. They may be preventing us from achieving what we actually want. Yet we don't even know that they're there. And the reason this is so important is because when you have a desire, when you decide that there's something that you want to create, your unconscious mind is going to reveal to you the very things that you need to heal in order to do that. It's going to present to you the blocks that are going to get in the way of achieving what it is that you want. is very common is for people to push those things down, pretend they don't exist, sweep them under the carpet, whilst at the same time continuing to pursue what it is they want, and then finding themselves confused as to why it is that they're not actually achieving the very thing that they know they desire. You know you want it, so why is it that you're not allowing yourself to go there? Now. There can of course be many things going on, and the one that I wanna speak about today is often something that is deeply unconscious and we're completely oblivious to., so let's talk about that. Your unconscious mind, one of its primary roles is to protect you. So it's never gonna let you be something that you think is wrong. It's never going to be in alignment with something that you see as being bad. Let's say there's somebody who has a financial goal. So they have a goal to be wealthy, to be abundant, whatever that looks like for them. And that same person, whenever they see a representation of the very thing that they desire in another person, so they see somebody, who is driving the car, who has the wealth, who has the things that they desire, and their immediate thought, the instant thought that comes to mind is, they must be dodgy, or they're obviously corrupt, or they've obviously, you know, their partner's paying for that, if that person doesn't want to be. dodgy, doesn't want to be corrupt, doesn't want to be a criminal. Or maybe they, they don't want to be supported by their partner or somebody else, they want to be financially independent, then their unconscious mind isn't going to let them achieve the same result because they don't want to do the thing that they think they have to do in order to create it. Your unconscious mind's primary role is to protect you and keep you safe. And it's so it's going to resist something if it believes that it's going to go against who you are, if it's going to go against those values, your beliefs. So if you believe that in order to be financially wealthy and independent, you have to be dodgy, corrupt, criminal, do something that goes against your values, then your unconscious mind is going to resist that. because it doesn't want to go there. It doesn't want to be that person. And that's the interesting thing about beliefs because whether they are true or not, if you believe that they're true, then that is how you interact with the world. They influence the action that you take, the way that you feel, and ultimately the results that you get. They create the lens through which you perceive the world. And so what we believe to be true or not will impact what we are actually aware of in our surroundings. It's what I wrote my book on. It's your reticular activating system, the part of your brain that brings into your conscious awareness awareness. the things that are outside of you. Um, to give you the simple example, when you decide that you want to buy a new car, a car that maybe you'd never seen before, you thought you were really unique in getting this car, it was something different. And then the minute you decide you're going to buy it, or you've bought it, they are everywhere. Those cars were always everywhere. It's just that your unconscious mind wasn't processing it. And then when you change the filter through which you see the world, which includes your beliefs, your values, your memories, your decisions, the things that make you who you are, it changes the things that you then become consciously aware of, so you start to notice them outside of you. If you want to learn more about that, then you can get a copy of my book in the show notes, activate your reticular activating system, so it's all about reprogramming your mind to begin to spot the opportunities that are going to support you in getting to where you actually want to go. Let me give you another example of how this can often play out. Now we all know of have potentially been, or maybe you still are, someone who loves the person who struggles, the person who has to fight against all odds, who has to work really hard to prove themselves, and maybe also dislikes the person who seems to have it just happen for them. You know, the person that has it easy, the one who knows their power, who knows their worth, and they unapologetically and boldly share it with the world. Just consider for a moment the meaning that you associate with that person and being that person, the consequences that come from it. So if you dislike the person who is really confident, who is really powerful, who knows their self worth, maybe you associate meanings that that means that cocky. They're arrogant. Maybe they're a show off. If you dislike that person, then somewhere deep in your unconscious, you're going to think that this means if you become that person, the one who knows their power, who knows their worth, that that's how people are going to feel about you. People are going to dislike you. And your unconscious mind wants to keep you safe, so it's not going to want to be disliked., whereas the person who is struggling, who is doing their utmost to make ends meet, if you love that person for what they're doing, and you want to be loved, then guess which one you're going to be more drawn to, which one is going to be more appealing to you at the unconscious level. Even though consciously, you know that you really desire to be the bold, the powerful, the confident woman, because that's who you truly are at your essence, at your core, yet being that person and owning your power comes with a perceived threat. It comes with a perceived risk in that you may not be liked. Because you don't even like that person!, so I invite you to become aware of what your version of that person is. You know, I use the bold woman in her power as an example. And it may be that that is the very thing for you. Maybe you find that woman intimidating. Maybe it's something completely different. Yet, in that moment, when you're resisting that person and telling yourself you don't like them, you're denying that it's possible for you. You're denying yourself of creating that very same thing. And that is why you feel negative emotion about it. Everything we see in others is within us. If it wasn't within us, then we wouldn't be able to perceive it outside of us. You know, the world is a mirror. It's a reflection. So we won't see something that we don't already have. Now that doesn't just go for the negative, the unwanted things. It's also those positive traits. So if you see something in somebody else, those positive attributes, those desires that you have for yourself, then that means it is within you. So it's absolutely possible for you to create the same thing in your own unique way. So we can use this world as feedback. Now, the first thing is to become aware, to become consciously aware of what are those unconscious patterns that are running the ship that are steering my life that I'm completely oblivious to. So you could begin by just asking, what is it about that person that I dislike? What beliefs do I have about them and the results that they've created? And what are your assumptions? What is it that you assume to be true about how they've created what they've created? Who they are to have created that result? Because if you want the same outcome, then those beliefs aren't going to be serving you, and they don't feel good. So this is an opportunity to begin to question those assumptions. Begin to notice how you're interacting with the world, you know, is struggle is hardship. Is that something that you celebrate that you think people should be rewarded for? Because if you want to have rewards, then maybe you're creating unnecessary struggle within your life. And that doesn't mean. That there isn't going to be work along the way, that it's not going to get uncomfortable. Yet, are you maybe creating obstacles where there doesn't need to be any? Where life could actually be much easier for you if you would allow it to be. So instead of just immediately rejecting it, think about where in your life are you not allowing yourself to be that person, the confident, the bold woman, the person who's in their power, because maybe that woman is there to shine a light on what's possible for you. Yet, in the moment, maybe you pretend that that's not you. You reject it and therefore you won't allow yourself to receive it. And as I mentioned, this can be any area of life. It may be in relationships, you wonder why you're not attracting the relationship that you want, the partner that you want, and at the same time, you are hating on people or getting irritated by people who post about how in love they are. You think about it, you're not going to create the same thing that you don't like. Why would you create something that you're judging as being wrong? If you're judging it and you don't want to be judged, then you're not going to create it., and it's interesting because this process in and of itself, when people start to explore the shadow aspects of themselves, the things that they deny, There can sometimes be a bit of self judgment, yet that's not what it's about. Our shadow aspects are the things that we're unconscious to, we're not aware of. So if you imagine your shadow is the bits of you that you can't see because they're in the shadow, whereas if you shine a light on them and reveal them, then you're able to heal them. And that is what setting goals, that's what having desires does for you, because in order to achieve them, it's like, hey, here's this thing that you've got to work on. And if you don't work on it, Then it's always going to be a block. It's always going to slow you down or completely prevent you from creating the thing that you absolutely can create. Because if there's a desire in your heart, if there's something that you want to achieve, and not because other people achieve it, or it looks good to the outside world, but it's something that you actually truly desire at your core, then you absolutely have everything you need to achieve it. and your unconscious mind is lighting up the path for you to get there. So many people get stuck in, yeah, but how do I achieve it? What are the steps? Give me the five steps. Give me the formula. Your unconscious mind is showing you the formula step by step. It's giving you the nudge. It's saying, Hey, here's the thing that is going to stop you. So as well as lighting up the path to get there, it's like, here's the block that's in the way from you seeing the next step. So instead of looking outside of you for the answers, thinking that somebody else is going to light up the way because yes, people have created paths that have worked for them, and that doesn't necessarily mean it's going to work for you because the internal blocks that you have may be very different to the ones that they've experienced. So this is about really gaining self trust and beginning to tap into what is it that you need? What is the thing that you need to let go of? And then paving your own way to create your version of the desire that you want. Your version of the bold woman. Your version of the woman who steps into her power. Now, if this is resonating, if you are getting excited by this in the way that I am, then I have something very exciting to share with you. for years I have been studying, learning about, and talking about how the world is a mirror. It reflects back to us who we are, so we don't see the world as we are, we see it as it is. So if we want to change the reflection, if we want to change the experience that we're having in our external world, then we have to change ourselves. The analogy that I love that really brings this to life is if you think about the world as literally being in a mirror. So if you are stood looking in a mirror and you don't like the reflection, you don't reach into the mirror and start attempting to change that. So if you didn't like your hair. You wouldn't start scribbling a new hairdo on the mirror to make yourself look different. You would change your hair. You know, that if you want the reflection to change, you've got to change something. And then you'll be looking at a different reflection. The reflection will automatically change when you do. And it's the same with our internal world. So I love that that gives us the power to change anything. If there's something in our world, that isn't the way that we want it, or there's something that we want to create that we're not yet experiencing, then we absolutely have the power to do that. So using the world as feedback to let you know what it is that's going on internally for you is a really powerful process. we could ever have if you choose to accept it. and something to be aware of when it comes to the desires that you have. I mentioned that when you desire something, the blocks, the obstacles, the internal stuff that is going to prevent you from achieving it will reveal themselves. It's like your unconscious mind saying, Hey, here's the thing that you need to heal. Here's the thing you need to let go of. Here's the thing that you need to accept about yourself that maybe feels a bit uncomfortable. Here it is. And Those things are not only presenting themselves to let you know what it is that you need to work on, they're also presenting themselves because you're ready for them. Your unconscious mind will only ever give you as much as you're ready to deal with. So when these emotions come up, when these beliefs come up, That made me feel uncomfortable. Come up, maybe you're experiencing internal conflicts where you feel like you're having an inner battle with yourself. You're literally in a tug of war when you become consciously aware of those things and memories pop up that maybe you thought you'd let go of situations that are way back in the past. You're like, why am I thinking about this today? It's presenting itself ready for you to heal, to resolve, to let go of. And when you do that, what you're essentially doing is releasing that energy, which can then be used towards what it is you actually want. and That energy can be used to feed, to fuel your desires. Now you can tell that I get very excited about this stuff. I'm very, very passionate about it. And with that in mind, I am very, very, very excited to let you know that I am very soon going to be launching my group coaching program, which is the Reflective Healer. Now. This program is really all about exactly what I've spoken on on this podcast episode. It's about uncovering those unconscious parts of you that are blocking you. the things that you aren't consciously aware of. So it's like, I know there's something that's blocking me, but I don't know what it is. So I don't know what it is that I need to work on. So we're going to be revealing those for you. So you know what it is that you need to heal. We're then going to be integrating them. So be taking you through a powerful process. So those aspects of you can actually become your superpower. We're also going to be expanding your energy field so that you're open to receiving more, so that you feel expanded as a person, because if you think about it, that's what it's really all about. It's expanding who you are as a person, your energy field, so that you're able to hold more because you could achieve something once. If your energy field isn't expanded, then the chances are that it's not going to stick around. And you see this so often, you know, there's many stories of people who've won the lottery or received a large amount of money. And 12 months later, it's completely gone because they hadn't expanded themselves, their belief system, their energy field to be able to hold that, to hold the capacity of it and then recreate it. So it's getting you to the point where whatever it is you want, whether it's the relationship, the business, the money, whatever, Whatever your focus is right now, whatever the desires are on your heart, it's about being able to step into those and expand yourself so normalizes it. It becomes who you are as a person and you're ready to receive it. Now these are things that I've been putting together for a while now. They're things that I've been practicing myself with some of the tools that I already had, some new things that I've been learning, some things that have just completely landed in my head out of nowhere and I've done them and the results have been amazing. And I've had some really big shifts and seen tangible results in the outside world as well. So I am really excited to share this with you as well.
