Dave Hayes has been living in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts for almost 35 years. He has a passion for the weather since he was 12 years old, growing up in eastern Mass when he first saw Bob Copeland on WCVB Channel 5 reporting at noon on severe thunderstorms in the area. Soon enough, all the bright colors on the radar corresponded to some strong thunderstorms that moved overhead, and I was hooked.
