County updates parking rules, expands enforcement

The Box Elder County Commission approved changes to how parking is regulated on county-owned property, adopting a new overnight parking policy, repealing an existing ordinance and expanding enforcement authority. The update prohibits overnight parking on county property without permission, allows vehicles to be cited or towed at the owner’s expense and establishes a broader policy governing parking on county property. It also authorizes local police agencies to enforce parking rules on county property.
