Perry City’s latest budget update shows city revenues running ahead of pace through February, with sales tax collections exceeding projections and the general fund outperforming the fiscal year timeline. Perry City Recorder Shanna Johnson told the council Thursday that general fund revenue was at about 71% while the city was 67% through the fiscal year. “So we are collecting higher than anticipated,” Johnson said. “Things look good in the general fund.” Johnson said sales tax collections were 6.28% higher than projected at that point in the fiscal year.
