Willard City to get new website, text-alert system

The Willard City Council unanimously approved funding a new municipal website and text-alert system at its July 23 meeting after city staff said the existing site could not be brought into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Willard City Manager Jeremy Kimpton said the city had worked with a web designer and tested several tools in an effort to bring the site into compliance. “We can’t quite get where we need to be to meet the federal government requirements,” Kimpton said.
