Bees outscore first two opponents 9-1 including 4-1 win over Bear River to keep possession of the County Shield

The Box Elder High School girls soccer team began defense of their region title with decisive wins over Mountain Crest, 5-0, and Bear River, 4-1. The matches showed the Bees’ offensive depth as six players scored the team’s nine goals, with Maddison Barber, Taylor Nye and Marley Barber each scoring in each contest. Nye and Maddison Barber led the Bees last season in scoring with 20 and 12 goals, respectively, and Maddison’s sister, Marley, was the Bees’ fifth best scorer with five goals.
