Nucor parcel approved for tax differential collection

The Brigham City Council approved collecting tax differential from a 31.87-acre Nucor Towers and Structures development at the Aug. 6 meeting, allowing property tax growth from the site to repay public infrastructure debt and fund a previously approved company incentive for 25 years beginning in 2027. The parcel in included in the Utah Inland Port’s Golden Spike Project Area. Brigham City Community and Economic Development Director Tom Kotter said the project area is intended to attract advanced manufacturing, improve freight movement, expand rail opportunities and support regional economic growth.
