County authorizes grant application

The Box Elder County Commission authorized the Bear River Association of Governments at the Aug. 12 meeting to apply for up to 0,000 in fiscal 2027 Rural County Grant funding and approved a state-required contract governing the association’s economic-development work for the county. The county would divide the money the same way it did in fiscal 2026: ,000 for the association’s economic-development services, ,000 for one-to-one matching grants for small businesses, ,000 for infrastructure matching grants and ,000 for the Box Elder Chamber of Commerce’s economic development website and data dashboard.
