County backs Northrop ambulance relicensing

The Box Elder County Commission supported Northrop Grumman Fire Department’s effort to renew its ambulance license at the Aug. 12 meeting for the company’s Promontory facility west of Corinne. Fire Chief Jim Hess said a 2025 state law shifted responsibility for selecting ambulance providers from the state Bureau of Emergency Medical Services to counties and cities.
