Hello and welcome to the Unray January Digest. I'm your host, Stefano Bartita, and we're gonna discuss all the things that went down in January. On the last Unray Digest show, we announced that Internal Boot would be coming, and that generated a lot of excitement and buzz within the community. And so there is now a video giving us some insights into what internal boot might look like. So if you're out of curious to know what that process is or get some further details or insights into internal boot, there will be a link in the video description below where you can check that out. Have you been wanting some Unraid merch but have been waiting around for a deal? Well, now's a chance. You can get 20% off of all the merchandise in the Unraid store if you take a survey, simply about 12 questions, some being multiple choice, as well as giving you the opportunity to provide some input about what you think is valuable from Unraid. Maybe you want to suggest prioritization of development and features, maybe you just want to give a shout out to one of your favorite content creators, whatever it may be, definitely take the time to fill out that survey because it is critically important to the Unraid team and really figuring out what is important to you, the customer, the most. So be sure to take your time to do that. Probably take you about five to six minutes. Honestly, not that complex. And then at the end of it, you'll get 20% off from the Unraid merch store. Speaking of new features, one has come to Unraid, a prize. And for anyone that doesn't know what a prize is, it's a notification library built in Python. It's actually been around for quite some time. It's very popular in the home lab and self-hosted communities, and it allows you to send notifications to your favorite service like SMS, Blue Sky, Twitter, Discord, email, go to five, home assistant, the list quite literally goes on and on. A prize was ported into Unraid in the Go language. This was done primarily because Go can run natively in Linux and other operating systems. It has very little storage demands and is self-contained, meaning no Python libraries, no pip packages, and no virtual environments needed. Now, because this is new, the Unraid team is requesting assistance in testing and improving the functionality of a prize go. For more details, you can check out the GitHub page or just simply go to the Unraid website and find out more information about a prize go. And whatever you do, if you do trial it out, make sure if you run into issues, you get on GitHub and provide those issues that you encountered to the team. With the release of the Unraid API, we have seen all sorts of new third-party applications become available on Android and iOS. So if you're a developer, there's two things you should do. You should definitely go to the Unraid website and check out the policies about naming conventions, trademarks, logos, and all of the formalities and things of that nature. And the second thing is post a comment letting the community know what applications you'd like us to check out that may be beneficial for us to use with our Unraid servers. Looking for a new app to host on your Unraid server? Well, look no further. The app of the month is out in its Paperless Engine X. This application allows you to upload your receipts, bills, and other paper documents so they can be scanned and digitized. They are stored in a PDF format, which is great for long-term storage, and you can access your entire archive through a web interface with full text search functionality. There's also a video available if you're interested in learning much more about the application so you can figure out how to set it up and actually use it. Be sure to check that out on YouTube. Lastly, be sure to check out the Unrayed January Digest newsletter so you can check out community content from around the web, whether it be on YouTube or even on the Unrayed forums. There are definitely some interesting topics that are worth checking out. And of course, if you like content like this, be sure to like this video and get subscribed so you don't miss out on any new content coming in the future. Thank you all for watching and good night.
