He got up with all power in his hand. I, I, I love that song, and that is the culmination of why we celebrate this weekend. That's the culmination of why we celebrate Jesus all year round. This is the greatest holiday ever. This is the greatest holiday ever. This is the greatest holiday ever. The resurrection day that Christ actually died was buried three days, and he rose on the third day with all power in his hand, and he didn't rise with all power in his hand to keep it to to himself. He rose with all power in his hand to give us power to live. Now, he took our place. He was the propitiation of our sins. We should have been crucified. We should have been killed. We should have been judged. We should have went to hell, death. Hal was taken and Jesus swallowed it up. He destroyed it by him taking our place. And because of that, we not only serve him, but we have freedom and liberty to worship Jesus, worship the Lord, and to live victorious lives. Nothing can stop us now. Nothing can stop us now. All praise Lord, guys, whatever it is you're going through. This is that time right here to remind you this is, this is the fueling tank right here. This time of year right now is the culmination of everything that we've been doing all year as far as worshiping our Lord. This is the one, one time a year that will should propel us throughout the rest of the year to walk in our rightful place in ministry and sharing the gospel and sharing our faith and witnessing to others, to encouraging our brothers. To teaching, to preaching, to healing. Whether it's a business that you use to bless others, this is it. All of this was done so that we can have life and life more abundantly and share it with other people so that they too can have life more abundantly. Oh, Jesus got up. Man to man. 360 starts in 3, 2, 1. You've tuned into Man to Man 360, the Show for Men By Men dealing with all subjects. The twist here is we come from a biblical worldview to encourage and empowerment, to make it a life through the power of Jesus Christ. Rise. Real, real talk. Chopping it up. Chopping it up, chopping it up. Men talking about, you're talking about sometimes it's, sometimes it man to. 360. Hey, welcome to a brand new episode of Man to Man 360, and of course, I am your host, Darrell Anderson. This is a special week, special weekend, and a special episode because we're coming into Resurrection Day. We're, we're coming into the greatest holiday of the year for believers. We're coming into the greatest holiday of the year for. For the world. They just don't know it. My wife and I just got back from a trip from Sight and Sound down in Lancaster, Pennsylvania where we, and several dozens of people, about maybe almost 80 people, went down from our church to see the play, Noah and awesome. Awesome. Their, their, their shows are always great. And the surprise at the end, well, I shouldn't give that away, but it, it had a, a very awesome end to it specifically in the person that they showed in the end of the play. It was a, it was a great, great, great event and we just got back today, so I'm recording this tonight as I'm preparing for the greatest holiday weekend of the year. I like and I love Christmas, but it doesn't match this one. And there's a lot of holidays that are great, but it doesn't match this. Now some, some of you maybe call this Easter. I don't call it Easter anymore. I stopped calling that Easter a long time ago. I call it Resurrection Day, but as we're getting into Good Friday on this weekend. And then going into Resurrection Day. This is the Passover time of year as well, which is from a Hebrew perspective or even from from a biblical perspective, we talk about Passover. That's when, when you look into the power of that holiday, that that holy day or that celebration timeframe, very powerful, very special, and it should be special to every believer. And. Just as much more to me. But this weekend here, as I am getting ready for this weekend, I wanted to make this show special to the holiday. Now. Yes, this is Man to Man 360, and I want to share some special things about the holiday that are every year when I think about, I think about certain songs, I think about certain scriptures, and I wanna share those tonight. Or today or this morning, whenever you're listening to this, but specifically to those guys that are listening to, to this episode and this podcast, or even on the radio. Now, I'm gonna play some things that you're listening to this on the radio. I'm gonna play the songs out all the way out because I can play the songs I. On the radio all the way out. Now on the podcast, I will have to chop them up because I can't necessarily play them in the podcast because of credits. So I'll play parts of it, but I won't play the whole things. So I'm gonna play two different songs. My favorite gospel artist, from the time I got saved until pretty much still now to some degree, I guess. It, even though he's now long gone and passed on and whatnot and hasn't recorded any albums in years or decades at this point, but it's Edwin Hawkins. I was always a big Edwin Hawkins fan. I just love his music. Him and his brother Walter Hawkins, and then even Jermaine. But this particular album he did an album where I called it, I've always called it the Easter album. It was the Edwin Hawkins Music, music and art seminar. And it was which album was this? This was, I think this was live in Atlanta, 1983. It's the one with the blue shirt with the zipper open and showing his chest, I guess. But anyway, I've always called that the Easter album because all the songs on there are relating to. The resurrection and everything related to Easter. So I play this album every Resurrection Day holiday season. I'm gonna play two of those songs on here in this episode, and one of them is going right into the scriptures. The scripture is Isaiah 53. I'm not even gonna read the verse, I'm gonna let the song sing it. And for the sake of those listening to this on podcast, I'll play, you know, obviously just specific key parts to it. But before I go any further, just another reminder that this is Man to Man 360. That's Man to man. Three sixty.com, that's man, the number two man three sixty.com. And there's where you can follow the show. You can share the show and you can even, you know, let us know what you think about the show. And you know what? If you never go to the website, let me, let me remind you, I haven't really pointed people to do this lately in a while, but if you're listening to us on podcasts, go to, especially depending on the app you're using, especially if you're using Apple Podcasts. If you're using Apple Podcasts, click on the five star and give us a rating. Always give us a, a, you know, a five rating.'cause anything else? We'll just. Diminish or kill the ratings. You know, if you, if you're like, well, it's a four, it can improve a three, nah, that, that's not how it works, give us a five star rating and then give us a comment on what you think about, not just the show, but maybe on all the shows that you've listened to or if this is a special one. Definitely on this one. Do that on whatever medium you're using, whether it be. Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or whatever you're using to listen to this podcast. So give us a, definitely give us a rating. And if you're not listening to us on podcasts, go to the website and you should be able to go to one of those tools, which we'll download it for you every week when we have a new episode. All right, cool. All that's enough of the business. Let me go right into the first song I'm gonna play for you, which is actually this Bible verse of Isaiah 53. Here he goes. He shall up before him as a root He. There is no beauty to. He was des and rejected of man Sor acquaint and him hesed. Acknowledged him. He has taken. They carried him from the Hall to Judgment Hall he made. Don't you see? Alright, that was Isaiah 53. That was the Evan Hawkins Music and Art Seminar live in Atlanta, 1983. That's one of the greatest songs I think that actually go into the resurrection. Well, the crucifixion. Before the resurrection, which I'll go to the resurrection in just a moment, but one of the things that I want to let you hear this song for, and one of the reasons I wanted you hear, wanted you to hear this song or for those listening to the podcast, the parts of this song is because this song deals with everything that Jesus went through so that we wouldn't have to who was believed, our message. To whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed for? He grew up before him, for he grew up before him, like a tender shoot, like a root out of parked ground. I'm reading in the New American standard Bible version. He has no stately form or majesty that we should look upon him, nor appearance that we should be attracted to him. He was despised and forsaken of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief and like one from whom men hid their faces. He was despised and we did not esteem him. This is the savior of the universe, the master of the universe, the lamb of God, who was slain for all mankind. He was the propitiation for our sins. In other words, this is a replacement for us being. Crucified or killed or destroyed because of sin and because of our sin. Yet he did know sin. That's Christ Jesus. And so guys, listening to this, the reason I want you to listen to this, and the reason I want you to take heed to these words of Isaiah 53, and I want you to read these. And the reason I want you to listen to that song, and the reason I want to talk about this in this episode tonight. This morning and this afternoon that I want you to share with others that are pre perhaps going through something, whether it's depression or mental health or mental illness or you know, suicide thoughts or just low self-esteem thoughts. All of these things. Now, not that we preach on high self self-esteem, it has nothing to do with our esteem at all in the first place. It's that we have high esteem in Jesus and therefore. We have low esteem in ourself, but we don't replace it by puffing up ourselves. We replace it by seeing ourselves in him and what he's done for us. So all of those things, all of the sins we've committed, all the evil that we've done, rightfully done that we should. I should say that we've done that we should rightfully be destroyed for judged, for killed, for slain, for crucified, for Christ actually took. The punishment for us. Instead, he was scourged and whipped and beat so that we can be healed. A physical, spiritual, mental disease, and, and, and sickness. All of you guys going through something today, stop asking people to pray for you when Jesus already did the work. At this point, we have to receive the work that he has done, that it is done, and we have to walk in it. We have to spend more time reading and and believing what he said in the first place. It cannot be that someone else needs to pray, that we get stronger in these things. All of us are gonna go through these troubles. We might be depressed from time to time or attacked from time to time. But it, we have to believe his word. We can maybe get somebody to come along with us and pray from time to time, but at the end of the day, we have to believe what the scriptures say. We have to trust what Jesus says in the scriptures. Surely our grief, he himself bore and our sorrows he carried. Yet we ourselves esteemed him stricken. We didn't even, we didn't even give him credit. I. Over our lifetimes, smitten of God and afflicted, but he was pierced through for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The chastisement of our wellbeing fell upon him, and by our his surging, we are healed. All of us, like sheep have gone astray and each of us has turned his own way. But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on him. He was oppressed and he was afflicted, yet did not open his mouth. And like a lamb that is led to slaughter and like a sheep that is silent before shearers. So he did not open his mouth. That's just up until verse seven. There's still more there. I'm not gonna read the whole thing. I want you to read the whole thing guys. Guys, this, this resurrection time. Here is the time for us to remember what Jesus did for us. I'm sorry for you. For me specifically, there is no need for us to fall back. Take our hands off the plow. There is no need for us to go into depression. There is no need for us to go into addictions, to drown out the pain when Jesus took all the pain for us. We have to remember that. So I'm gonna pause right now and I come back. I'm gonna play that other song. That other song is an exciting song of the culmination of why Christ came and the excitement for what this weekend holds. But I'll be back in just a moment. We'll pick up from there right after this. You ready for the man cave? Yeah, go. The man cave is developed around, we call it the five pillars. There's praise and worship where we sing a song or two and really invite the president of God in and get the guys singing and clapping and whatever, and really make a push on getting guys into the music. It's typically guys like to avoid praise or lifting of hands or singing and that type of, so we really put a focus on that. And then we go right in from that into prayer, you know, intercession, prayer. We ask guys if, if there's certain things that they want us to pray for, to agree with them and prayer for and we make sure to focus it on them. Sometimes guys will say, Hey, listen, I got this neighbor and you pray for them. And we're like, no, no, no. We want to know what is it that you need prayer for? Because, because you're the neighbor, that's your job to pray for your neighbor. From there, we actually go into the competition part. Now that's the exciting part of the man cave. It just creates that competitive. Peace makes it exciting, but it gets that testosterone, bubbling up and everything else. And there's a reason to that really too. I've been doing men's ministry now for almost 30 years. A lot of times men don't really have those men focused things at churches. So in some cases, the guys, it can feel a little, feminine. Or emasculating in some cases. And, and because of that, we wanna make sure that there's a, a, a masculine feel to men's fellowship. It's both fun, it's inviting. It's also used as a fish bait to get guys out. The other reason that we do competition is so we can create two teams. And in creating two teams, we create a, a comradery between those guys. They stay on those teams for the duration. You don't go from second Friday to second Friday? No. You, you, you're contacting guys in between guys are able to reach. Guys are able to, Hey man, I'm really dealing with this thing. We're struggling with this thing so they can reach out to somebody. We go from the competition park and then we go into the work, we go into scripture, we, do some teaching, and then we make breakout into breakout groups. The breakout groups allows guys to be able to, answer some things or share their thoughts on those same top topics. That was just preached a few minutes ago. The word is a, is a two-headed sword. It cuts open things. It exposes us to ourselves at least. to what's really happening on the inside or the things we've been trying to cover up and hide. and then we break from there and then we, we eat. That's a great time to be able to dive in and just really see how guys are doing. Pastors and churches don't have a men's ministry. You're missing out on the opportunity to free that man from that thing. He's been trapped in that, that stronghold that's been in his life in's ministry allows him to be free vulnerable. And then free. All right guys. We're back. And I'm gonna get ready to play this next song again on the podcast. I'm not gonna be able to play the whole thing. I'm gonna maybe play a clip here, a clip there, just a few seconds so that I don't get hit with copyright or anything like that. But if you're listening to us on radio right now, the whole thing will be played. So we're gonna play those right now. So let me play this second song, the name of this song, this is the same album. This is the Edwin Hawkins Music and Art Seminar live in Atlanta, 1983. I called, always call this the Easter album. I. Because every song on this album relate relates to this whole holiday of Easter or Resurrection Day or Passover, good Friday and all this. This album is one of the best ever written, as far as I'm concerned when it comes to this holiday. And if you not familiar with it, go to your different apps and purchase this, these songs on from this album. But this song is called He Got Up. This is the whole exciting reason. Why we celebrate this time of year. But this is why you should be encouraged, guys, men, in your life, that you do not have to stay depressed. Here it comes. Here it is. He got up. He got up with all power in his hand. I, I, I love that song, and that is the culmination of why we celebrate this weekend. That's the culmination of why we celebrate Jesus all year round. This is the greatest holiday ever. This is the greatest holiday ever. This is the greatest holiday ever, the Resurrection day. Christ actually died, was buried three days, and he rose on the third day with all power in his hand and he didn't rise with all power in his hand to keep it to to himself. He rose with all power in his hand to give us power to live. Now, he took our place. He was the propitiation of our sins. We should have been crucified. We should have been killed. We should have been judged. We should have went to hell. Death Hal was taken and Jesus swallowed it up. He destroyed it by him taking our place. And because of that, we not only serve him, but we have freedom and liberty to worship Jesus, worship the Lord, and to live victorious lives. Nothing could stop us now. Nothing could stop us now. Oh, praise the Lord. Guys. Whatever it is you're going through, this is that time right here to remind you this is, this is the fueling tank right here. This time of year right now is the culmination of everything that we've been doing all year as far as worshiping our Lord. This is the one to one time a year that we ship prop us throughout the rest of the year to walk in our rightful place in ministry. And sharing the gospel and sharing our faith and witnessing to others, to encouraging our brothers to teaching, to preaching, to healing. Whether it's a business that you use to bless others, this is it. All of this was done so that we can have life and life more abundantly and share it with other people so that they too can have life more abundantly. Oh, Jesus got up. And because he lives, we can now face tomorrow. So sometimes you hear people say, man, if Jesus was alive today, well, Jesus is alive today. There is no if he is alive today, he is alive and well today. He was only dead for three days and he's been alive ever since. So I don't have a whole lot I need to add to this, but I just wanna encourage you guys. Don't let the enemy trick you into depression, into doing something silly or stupid, and definitely from walking away from the Lord. This is the time right now and right here that we should serve the Lord with gladness, even when we go through rough times because he got up. Therefore I can get up too, and therefore you can get up too. You can get up. You come on outta that depression. Come out that gray, gray spot. Come on, come on. Out of that, that, that, that gray cloud worshiper the bright light. Or remember, listen, this is a man to man 360. I am your host, Darryl Anderson. Happy resurrection. Happy Easter. Happy Good Friday. Worship the Lord for He Got Up and I'm out. This episode of Man to Man 360 is a wrap, but you can check us out next week wherever you get your podcast.
