Women United ART PODCAST

Art & Advocacy Like a Mother with Jen Haefeli

Mona Lerch Season 3 Episode 51

Welcome to Women United ART PODCAST, Season 3!

We are excited to introduce Jen Haefeli, an interartist, the owner of Wild Root Creations, and a passionate advocate and supporter of the development of literacy centers, sustainable education and agronomy-based programming in challenged environments.

In today's episode, she shares her experiences of living in Haiti and supporting the local people during her numerous visits throughout the adoption process of her children and how it influenced her art practice and the direction of her life.

She also takes us behind the scenes of making her just-released book, A Nation Crafted By Immigration, a 50-page, fully illustrated selection of 45 incredibly influential humans who have improved the world with their intellect, ingenuity, talents, ideas, hopes, and dreams. Jen's book offers a brief bio and illustration of each person and is written with the intent to spark curiosity about who we would be without the diversity of immigration.

Join us to learn more about this inspiring woman's incredible journey.
