Howdy folks, I want to welcome you to another episode of Life Around the Fire. My name is David Utari and I'll be your host today. We are a podcast that is devoted to spiritual growth, and what we mean by spiritual growth is this growth in our relationship, first and foremost, with God, then in our relationships with one another. What I'd like to do today in this episode is continue on with this topic that we've been looking at for a while now concerning the culture of the kingdom of God, the culture of God's kingdom. And in considering the kingdom of God, we kind of have to break that word down a little bit, because many of us come from cultures or nations where there's not a kingship or a kingdom, there's not a formal king. That's in place In Great Britain. There's a king and a queen, but they are more figures than they are functional. They carry a function, but they're not really the ruling and reigning, governing power, governing power. But there are cultures where there are kings and they do have a territory in which makes up their kingdom, the influence of their rulership, and so there's an understanding concerning the word kingdom in those settings. But many of us in the Western world, western hemisphere, don't have that as a reference point. So the word kingdom sometimes is retranslated in our mind as democracy, which is not the case. A kingdom is not a democracy. There is no voting involved in a kingdom. A king is not voted in. They are coronatedated or they are recognized as king, anointed, if you will. A king is a sovereign ruler, meaning there is no group of people that make up a Congress and make up a house and have a vice president and a president. It's not like that. Vice president and president, it's not like that. And so a kingdom is the rule and reign, or the realm, the dominion, the domain in which a king has sovereign influence. That's their culture, who they are is the culture of the kingdom, and so the things that they like, the things that they think about, the things that they do, make up the culture of that kingdom. And some of us have seen kingdoms that are very abusive, to take a negative slant on it, that the king is a tyrant and, as a result, the culture that he produces is one of oppression, whereas there are other kings that are benevolent or they're good, and the nature of who they are produces the culture, and that culture is uplifting, it's positive, positive, and again, culture involves language, it involves art, it involves certain architecture, it involves the way of life. How we go about doing things is the culture of a kingdom and the kingdom of God, the kingdom of heaven, has a culture. It has components that make up that culture.
Speaker 1:And when we are born again, when we experience a supernatural new birth as a result of us placing our faith in Jesus, there's a transaction that takes place that actually literally transforms us from the inside out. It's not just something that takes place, that's a good idea that we have and a better way of living. There's actually a change that takes place within us, a literal spiritual shift, a change we have within us upon our new birth. The very nature, the life of God infused into us like a seed, life of God infused into us like a seed, and that seed, that life, grows. Man and, depending on the conditions that we subject ourselves to, determines the way in which that seed develops, the pace in which it develops. Sometimes it's stunted, sometimes it is seemingly escalated because of how we live, what we allow ourselves to be impacted by the environment that we place ourselves in, because there are environments that are more conducive to growth than others and where there is a movement of God's Spirit, where there's a demonstration of the kingdom of God and it's tangible when we bring ourselves into those environments. It creates a spiritual growth, it enables us to grow, whereas if we are just in a environment that has little influence at all, well, it's like a plant that doesn't get enough sunlight or nutrients. It doesn't grow as well. And so we've been looking at the culture, what makes up the kingdom of God? Because we're born again into a kingdom, supernaturally born into a kingdom called the kingdom of heaven or the kingdom of God. And for those of us again who are in the Western Hemisphere and have lived in a democratic society, that can be a real shift man. That can be a real different experience and sometimes a struggle, oftentimes a struggle, but nonetheless the life that's in us is aligned with that kingdom. When we are born again, the new life that we have, the new birth, the new way of living, literally is aligned to that. And so some of the things that we have learned in life that don't coincide with that kingdom we need to not only unlearn, but they need to be crucified. They have been, but we are the ones now responsible for dying daily to some things that are contrary to the kingdom of God. And the kingdom of God is supreme. The culture is high above any other culture.
Speaker 1:Three of the primary components that make up the culture of God's kingdom would be righteousness, meaning a real, solid sense of inner core, deep-seated order. Things are in order, they are right, they are righteous Morally. We're strong man, we are strong Intellectually, we are crisp Spiritually. We are crisp Spiritually, we're alive, we're righteous, we're righteousness. Peace is another component.
Speaker 1:Shalom or pistis, a faith-based peace, a deep-seated peace. That is not just serenity but it is solid to the core. It's literally that understanding that everything is taken care of, there are no needs. There are no needs in our life. The peace, the sense of just solid that comes with that, that's the peace of God. God has no needs. He doesn't have to covet other people's stuff because he's got it. Well, because he's got it, we have it. And so in our lives, in the culture of God's kingdom, there's peace and then there's joy, that undercurrent that comes when we know that things are in right order, that things are provided for. There's a joy, there's an uplifted attitude and spiritual environment that we have. That's part of the kingdom of God. Sometimes you can burst out in laughter, just laughter, joy. Sometimes. It's just that undercurrent, that solid undercurrent that, oh man, there's a river flowing of joy, contentment in the Holy Spirit. And so we've been looking at the fact that we are aligned to that culture and learning to function in that culture.
Speaker 1:But there's another component to the culture of God's kingdom and it is a culture of honor. A culture of honor where we honor one another, where we literally esteem each other. We don't tear each other down, we build each other up. That's amazing. When we are in a culture where that takes place, where you don't have to watch your back, that's phenomenal. That is absolutely amazing when we are able to live without fear of someone trying to use us to gain a better position in life and treat us as though we're disposable or as though we really don't matter. We're something to be used or as though we really don't matter. We're something to be used. Culture of honor and in a culture of honor.
Speaker 1:And what we're looking at today is a component of serving. You see, serving one another, serving God first and foremost, right Serving. You see, serving one another, serving God first and foremost, right, serving God, being able to live a life where God is central and what we do is in service unto him. There's a joy in that, there's a sense of purpose with that Serving our God, serving the Father, serving the Son, serving the Spirit, being of service to God, worshiping him, praise God, lifting him up, esteeming him, honoring him, being at peace with him, being righteous with him, being joyful with him, being at peace with him, being righteous with him, being joyful with him, being of service. Being of service instead of having to get, being in the mindset of we need, and where what we do is we live to get things instead of live to serve and give.
Speaker 1:There's a shift, and when we learn that shift, when we participate in that shift, then the things that come out of our mouth coincide with the words that come from our Father's lips, from His mouth, from His heart. The words that come from His heart come out of our mouths. There's a powerful thing that takes place concerning that, and so I'd like to take a moment and pray just before we go any further with that particular point, because there's been a lot of stuff that's been spoken around. This whole thing of the things that come out of our mouth are the things that take place. They're actually the things that happen. What comes out of our mouth is what's going to happen. What we say out loud will happen.
Speaker 1:What we say out loud will happen, and it's a very important aspect of life, but it can be misunderstood or abused, and so I'd like to pray, just ask God for his wisdom and his guidance in this particular portion of this podcast episode. And so, father, we come to you right now. I come to you and I ask you to help me convey things concerning this aspect of serving that, how it's tied to the things that come out of our mouth, the words that come out of our mouth, as it pertains to your kingdom being manifest in the earth, as it is in heaven that your heavenly domain would impact earth, impact the world that we live in, and, holy Spirit, I ask that you would help me and help us navigate through this, just like Jesus did, and we speak in his name, we pray in his name, we say amen in his name, we pray in his name, we say amen in his name, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen. Yeah, and preparing for this particular podcast episode, that's where I really landed, and that is concerning the words that come out of our mouth and how important they are, how powerful they are, and some of us have been taught that from a young age, and others of us not so much man, we've been rather loose with our lips and oftentimes we can wonder well, why is my life going in the direction it's going Well?
Speaker 1:I think if we were to look at the things that come out of our mouths, we might have some pretty good clues as to why things are going the way they're going, because our thoughts are important, our actions are important, but our words, our words, are perhaps more important than we have given credence to. At least in my life, I really hadn't given that much, or I should say, as much stock in them as I do now, because God has really developed within me an appreciation for monitoring the things that come out of my mouth, and I I'm doing so because, first of all, it's something that I'm being instructed or have been instructed along the way to develop, is a real check system. What's coming out of my mouth, what are the things that I say? Yes, the things that I think, yes, the things that are in my heart. But out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks heart. But out of the abundance of the heart. The mouth speaks Sometimes when we're not really thinking about it. That's when it speaks, and so I've been monitoring the things that come out of my mouth because I've realized words carry power and they carry power because words are actually vibrations and our vibrations are infused with power, especially when they are infused with the power of faith.
Speaker 1:See, because faith is a substance, because faith is a substance, true faith is a powerful substance and when it's applied to our spoken words, it literally creates a vibration or a light, a form of light that changes the atmosphere, that changes the atmosphere and being a conduit by partnering with God and speaking his words out loud into the earth. That's powerful. It's part of what Jesus spoke about when he taught his disciples a prayer format, if you will. He said pray like this or pray in this way. Use this as your format, and part of it pertained to this pertain, to this Asking God for his kingdom to come and his will to be done in earth or on the earth, but better translated, in earth or in the earth as it is, in heaven, meaning heaven's culture manifest in the earth, and we are the conduit through which that takes place.
Speaker 1:That's the design from the beginning that we would be those who establish heavenly colonies on planet earth. That would cause the invisible heaven realm, the kingdom of heaven, to be manifest visibly on the Earth through us, because we have a human body through which God reveals things physically. We have a physical human body that's a conduit between the heavens and Earth and faith is a vehicle that connects us. And our spoken words are the demonstrations or the vibrations that take place, that bring things into being in the earth as it is in heaven. So we are the conduit, our words are the conduit. Our words are the expression, ideally, that come from the heart of God. So what comes from his heart comes out of our mouth and, infused with faith, it becomes a reality. What's in his heart, because that's what makes up the kingdom of heaven, his heart, what's in the heart of God, comes out of our mouth out loud and it impacts the world that we live in. It actually creates stuff, it manifests the kingdom of heaven on earth. That's powerful.
Speaker 1:You see, in Luke, chapter 7, in the scriptures in the Gospel of Luke scriptures in the Gospel of Luke, the seventh chapter, the tenth verse, there's a statement that can be just quickly read over and it'll just slip on by, but you know how sometimes you can be reading and it's like a light hits a particular phrase and it stands out. It's God talking to us through scriptures, a highlight, man, of the written word. I love that when that happens, man, and it just stands out. Well, luke, chapter 7, verse 10, is one of those words that stood out to me recently, and it involves the centurion who had a servant that was sick and it was one of his favorite servants and happened to be a Jewish person, right, and so he sent an entourage of Jewish people to Jesus, kind of convincing him that it was worthy for him to heal this servant, because the centurion was a good guy, and apparently he was, but he was Roman.
Speaker 1:And apparently he was, but he was Roman, and so it wasn't kosher for a Jewish person to go into the home of a Gentile and it would make them unclean, and the centurion knew that. But he loved his servant and he wanted to heard about Jesus and he heard that he was in the area. So he sent this group of people to go to Jesus and see if he would come or just talk to him. And they did, and Jesus said by all means I'll go. And on the way the centurion sent another group of people, said Rabbi, please don't bother coming here, because I know that it could make things complicated by virtue of the fact that I'm a Gentile and you're a Jew. All you have to do is say the word. He goes, because I'm a man like you, under authority, and someone above me will give me a command and I'll say it and it will take place. And Jesus stopped and said I haven't seen someone who understands things like this and knows what faith is all about. All throughout Israel, I've not met anyone. I've not met any Jewish people that understand things like this Gentile. And he then stopped. And he, john, excuse me.
Speaker 1:Luke, chapter 7, verse 10, says that Jesus stopped and spoke the word of healing, spoke, and that's what grabbed me. He stopped and he spoke the word of healing. He stopped and he spoke the word of healing. He spoke the Father's heart out loud. He spoke God's heart out loud. He spoke God's heart out loud. And the Scripture goes on to say the Gospel. The story goes on and it says that At that moment, later, they found out that that servant was healed.
Speaker 1:Bam, at that moment, what? Come on, man, that servant was healed that moment by a word spoken long distance. How does that work? That's the kingdom of God. That's the vibration of a word, that's the bending of time and space. That's the eternal being now. That's the what's already happened happening. That's time and space taken on a different format and light coming in the scene. We have been given significant power and authority. Jesus said that those of us who are born into the kingdom have that privilege and responsibility and it's not a thing that we can just go ahead and arbitrarily do.
Speaker 1:There's been a notion that's been spoken actually for quite some time. There was a group of people that had kind of a name it and claim it mentality that if it's in your heart and you want it Cadillac, car, house, money just speak the word and believe it and it'll take place. You know, name it, claim it, blab it and grab it. That whole that, that well, that whole thing was something that was grinding a lot of people's gears because it, yeah, there was truth in it, but that's the, the heart in it wasn't kingdom of God. That was selfish, that was very selfish, not serving, and people can say, well, I'm doing this because God wants me to be rich. Okay, because God wants me to be rich. Okay, I mean, we talk about that all day and really get nowhere.
Speaker 1:Because the example that Jesus provides in Scripture, and the example in Scripture throughout, inside, outside, upside down involves serving. Serving is tied to the things that come out of one's mouth being the heart of God. The heart of God coming out of our mouth is attached to being a servant leader or a servant serving, taking the position of serving, of giving. When we become that, our words, man, they're so powerful, tied to faith, being a conduit by partnering with God and speaking his words out loud into the earth, in the earth as it is in heaven. Come on, we're going to be talking about that further Because it is so important and it is a powerful principle that's attached to the culture of God's kingdom that's being demonstrated across the nations in a great way right now, and I thank God for being part of it.
Speaker 1:Let's pray, father, thank you for who you are and how you're doing things, and that you're using us. You're teaching us that serving is the proper vehicle through which we can then speak things and they will take place. Healing will take place, whether it's in front of us or far away. The words of our mouth. God, help us truly have our ears opened up. Where they aren't opened up yet, or where they're a little bit dull, fine tune us, lord, and our mouths, so that we can be conduits of your kingdom in the name of Jesus. Amen.
