I don't know, or I should say I don't remember exactly when it was that I realized that as people, we all don't think the same way.

I, admittedly, there was a point in my life when I was much younger where I thought to myself you know, basically we see the world the same way as people. You know, we got some differences, but we basically see things the same way. And then I got a little bit older and I started seeing the fact that, well, we don't necessarily see things the same way. Some areas we get really worked up about and we get we feel very strongly about we don't see the same way as the other person and we let it be known or we build a kind of a watershed around it. Well. Well, where I'm going with let it be known, or we build a kind of a watershed around it. Well, where I'm going with this is the fact that we, as people, we don't see things the same way. And on one hand, that's really good news, because I'm really glad that people don't see things exactly the same way that I do. I mean, eventually, at least to me, it would become kind of boring if we all saw things exactly the same way. That's not unity. Exactly the same way. That's not unity. That's like uniformity, where we almost have to see things the same way. That's like dictatorship, where if you don't see things the way that the dictator sees them, well, you're disposable and you are made disposable because you don't see things the way the dictator sees them, uniformly. But that's not unity, and we've covered that before.

What makes up true unity, and really what makes up true unity in our context, is relationship Relationship with God, first and foremost with God, relationship with him and then relationships with one another. But even beyond just the sheer notion of relationship, it involves presence, hallelujah. I say it because that's where a hallelujah means something to me the presence of God. I love God, but I love him because of his presence, that he's made known to me and the relationship that he's made known to me. In revealing himself to me, he's amazing. He is absolutely beyond description, is absolutely beyond description. His power is so magnificent that it is once again beyond description, and so his presence being the unifying factor for those of us who call upon the name of the Lord Jesus as our Savior, as our salvation, as our one true hope, the only one true hope is Jesus, the focal point. That is our basis for unity. It is Jesus Christ, what he's accomplished in his physical body, what he accomplished on his dying, his crucifixion on the cross, his shedding of his blood, his dying, his bleeding out, completely dying, his resurrection from the dead and his ascension to the right hand of God, the Father, and his soon coming return. He is our focal point, he is our central theme. If you would just reduce it to the word theme, he is our theme, his presence, and so that's where we've been once again zeroing in on for a while, because it's important for us to periodically bring things all the way back home why do I believe what I believe and what's the essence, what's the true basis of my belief and who is central?

Is there a central figure to my belief? Am I involved in just a religion or am I really involved in a relationship? And these things have to be hammered out in order Experience fullness of life in relationship with God and with each other. Because if they're not hammered out, we're kind of jellyfishing, we really don't have a set course, we don't have a sail and an anchor, we're kind of drifting, and that's not called living, that's just mere existence, and some of you know exactly what I mean. You go through life and you have been going through life basically basically existing. You really don't have a real firm set purpose in your heart, the thing in which you say I know that I'm called to be, and then fill in the blanks. Many don't have that guiding assurance or that relational confidence with God that not only do you have a relationship with him, but that he has a function for you that's significant. In his kingdom, he wants you to be involved with him, not just an observer of his greatness, which is magnificent enough, but to be able to share in that, to participate in that together with him, in his nature, with his nature, by his power, in his power becoming the power that we function with together as one, together as one.

Things open up for us as a result of that, coming full circle to where we began this podcast by saying that a great revelation took place within my own personal life that we aren't all the same, we don't all see things the same way and we don't all talk the same way, and there are some things that, if we don't know what we believe, we can get caught up in believing just about anything, and that's where there's a problem in many settings today, where there's kind of a mixture of trying to do things by way of how they've been done before, kind of like doing things that were successful in one setting and trying to duplicate them and make them successful in a different setting, and the methods aren't working, and part of the reason is because we're using outdated things in trying to function in a world that is unfolding. Things are unfolding on a level right now that are staggering as far as information goes, just raw information, technological information, just changing on a level that is, as I said, staggering. And that's not the only level in which things are changing and that's important for us who are followers of Jesus to really grasp that in our personal walk with him. Things are unfolding. They're not staying the same, they're not meant to stay the same. In fact, every relationship, every healthy relationship, continues to grow and develop. We learn new things about the person that we're with. We know certain things, yes, but there are certain things that we don't yet know because we're not the same, and there are some magnificent things that we're finding out about each other. That's what I like to highlight the fact that we are finding out some magnificent things about one another. But there's this tension that in settings, that of all settings, a Christ-like setting, christian Christ-like, where Christ is central, in a setting in which he is central, you would think that would be where there's the most freedom to be able to become one. We start out on different ends of the equation but we wind up one in him, because the things that were major become minor, but also things that we didn't know before become open to us, things that we were afraid of become open to us, where environments that we're in allow for mistakes to be made, because we're trying, but we haven't quite got it all together yet, but we're trying. We're trying to function in a new way. We're trying to explore and develop into new things.

One thing where I'm going with this I'm looking to encourage individuals who have kind of been on the end of the equation in some of our Christian communities. Christian communities, people that have had a prophetic calling and a prophetic nature to their life, where they are seers and sayers. That's part of their function, a huge part of their function in the body of Christ, in the kingdom of God, as citizens. And they are prophetic, some legitimate, true prophets, people who turn up, prophetic people who have that mantle of equipping the saints, the office of prophet, and then there's prophetic ministry, there's prophesying, the prophetic element, some call it the emotions of the body of Christ, the things that are sense, feeling, perception. I perceive, I sense, I feel and sometimes, in our Western Hemisphere, our worldview, our cultural worldview especially for those of us who live in the Western Hemisphere of the world take a more scientific approach to things and look at emotions and feelings with kind of a tongue in cheek attitude, more like we don't really value them as highly as we value data hard data. We value that hard, raw facts but as far as sensing and feeling, those are suspect and often we try to.

And for those of you who have been around for a while, you've perhaps been to or read books on child rearing right and myself being a person involved in leadership in the church in the evangelical world, there's ample, ample opportunity to get information on parenting and a lot of it's really good, but a lot of it has within it the notion that we need to be really observant on what's going on in the lives of our children, and I agree, couldn't agree more. We need to know what's going on. However, there seems to be an undercurrent of this, not necessarily stated, but it seems to creep through. An undercurrent kind of creeps through, and that's this you know, you got to catch them doing something. You catch them doing it wrong. You got to catch them doing it wrong. You got to catch them doing it wrong. You got to catch them doing it wrong. You got to catch them doing it wrong. And it straightens out and again I agree, we need to be able to see things that are plainly wrong and call them out and address things on a variety of levels.

Concerning that whole issue of what is truth and what is untruth it's a lie but also we need to be capable of catching people doing something right, like our children. Growing up, I made it a point to periodically catch one, or maybe sometimes all of my three sons doing something right. I'd catch, I'd see them doing something that was really good and I'd go aha ha ha ha, caught you. They'd be like what, what I said? I saw you washing that dish, man, I caught you doing something right and I'd say here, here's five bucks, just because Now, not every time you wash your dishes you're going to get five bucks, but this time, man, I caught you doing something right. And you know what?

Having an environment in which we catch people doing something right is an environment in which we are free to express things that are new to us Because we might be getting it wrong, and there's a fear of getting things wrong, versus being in an environment in which it's understood that we're going to make mistakes and we have people that are lovingly capable of correcting those mistakes. And the mistakes that I'm talking about for those of us who have a prophetic flair to our life or the potential for being misunderstood is found in the things that we sense, things that we feel, things that we see in the Spirit and things that we hear being spoken in the Spirit by God, being spoken in the spirit by God. Not everyone sees things, senses things and hears things as clearly as you do, and there are these things that are coming into view right now. Right now, there's unfolding more and more and more of and unfolding concerning this whole aspect of open areas or portals, where there is places of spiritual interaction, interaction from the spiritual world into the physical world. And I'm not talking about necromancy, I'm not talking about witchcraft, I'm talking about true kingdom of God portals, jesus himself being the ultimate expression of that when he said I, I, I. No one else comes to the Father except through me, I, I am the way, the truth, like I'm the door, I'm the portal, I me. You want to know the clean way. Get to know me. You want to know more about functioning in the aspect of the keys of the kingdom, the portals of the kingdom, the places where there's interaction going on in the spiritual world between the natural and the spiritual. Know me, get to know me, become more and more intimate with me because I am the way. There are many voices, but Jesus said my sheep hear my voice, they know my voice, my people recognize me because we know each other. We have relationship with each other. We have a relationship with each other, getting to know Jesus.

For those of you who are in a place where you are sensing, seeing and feeling that God is showing you portals in which activity is taking place, and you want to know what to do about those things that you're sensing and you're seeing, and you want to know what to do about those things that you're sensing and you're seeing and you're feeling, my encouragement right now is to take those very things that you're sensing, seeing and feeling and bring them to Jesus. Bring them to Jesus and express to him exactly what it is that you are sensing, seeing and feeling, and ask him what it is that he wants you to do about that and don't do anything until he tells you specifically what it is that he wants you to do. He's using these things to draw you close to him the sense, the feeling, the perception, the notion that there's activity going on in the spiritual world. You've said it, you're prophetic, you can feel these things, but they might not be clear. He wants to make them clear and he will do that. But there's a timing element to it and he's preparing people across the nations right now to be able to function within the construct of these keys, these portals, these places in which activity has been going on for centuries.

Caesaree, philippi, is one of them. In the Middle East, a portal, a high place. There are places that have been used throughout history and are still marked for areas and places in which there is spiritual activity going on. There are pieces of property that have that. They have a specific purpose for it to be in existence and it's God's purpose and he's going to see it fulfilled. Whether you're part of it or not is being determined by you, not by God. He already determined it. We're just being positioned right now and being drawn into relationship with Jesus.

If you sense that you have a prophetic call and you are seeing different things regarding portals, spiritual energy centers, things of that nature that take place, now is not the time to start bringing that information over to your small group and leave it open for discussion. If you're living in, let's say, for the majority of you living in the Western part of civilization, you need to bring these things to Jesus more. We need more of him, more of Jesus. They're too vague. The things that will be brought forward will sound like they're part of the old New Age movement, that thing where there's witchcraft and there's a lot of other various nuances of spiritual life, none of which involves Jesus, but they all express some sort of access into the spiritual world, all underneath the label of the New Age movement. Well, they use terminology like oracles, energy. They use a lot of terminology. That's very actually, it's descript, it's very good. They're the ones who stole it. They're not the ones who are originating it. They stole it. This actually belongs to the body of Christ. These things belong to access.

Points like this belong to the body of Christ, and prophetic people are the ones who are designed by God to point them out and to express the seasons in which they become operative, the functionality and the dynamics that go along with this particular aspect of kingdom living. It falls underneath the category of the prophetic ministry. Powerful, it's beautiful. It's wonderful us being equipped to be complete, whole, fully rounded members of the body of Christ, citizens of the kingdom of God that are mature, that can function on every level that is available through us. However, if we get ahead of ourselves, we start to sound kooky. We start to sound very bizarre and strange because it isn't done yet. Bizarre and strange because it isn't done yet. It's like taking the cake out of the oven and it's still gooey and runny and not tasty in the middle, but we bring it out and we say it's done and, man, you leave a wrong impression. It's what that cake is really all about If you take it out too soon. Well, same thing goes with prophetic ministry If we take things out and bring them up for public display too quickly, before the revelation has been marinated in the presence of God, as it were, and we are mature enough to be able to both receive and to distribute what it is that God is saying to us and through us, then we need to be more grounded in him and in relationship with him and in his presence and learn about what it is that he has to say, considering these portals, because he has something to say about them.

He did to his disciples when he said the gates of Hades, meaning these portals that are right here at Caesarea, philippi, these places, they will not prevail against what I'm doing. These places, they will not prevail against what I'm doing. In fact, I'm publicly making a declaration here today. And he laid down the gauntlet and he said that confession, peter, that came out of your mouth. Upon that, upon that confession, I'm going to build my church on that rock. On that statement that came out, I am going to build my church in the gates of Hades, the portals of hell, the very place in which people would come to interact with demonic powers. Was the very place that Jesus said I'll start building right here and I will prevail. And he's still doing it. But it was Jesus who was able to say it was time for that place to experience the revelation of God. And it was shortly thereafter that the transformation, the Mount of Transfiguration, took place and Jesus transformed in front of James, peter and John, with Moses and Elijah present.

It was a portal. Those were portals. Those were places, high places, places designed where there's a lot of spiritual activity and designed to be places where we would interact with God, with heaven and earth. We have them all over the place. They're there for a purpose. They're there for a reason, not just so that we can be mysterious people that have mysterious knowledge that's quite insightful and good for parlor talk and good for parlor talk but really people that can function as a result of relationship with Jesus, the centrality of the cross and what transpires as a result of lives who are infused with his and ours in his. That life is growing in dynamic across the nations and those listening to this today are part of it.

Some you are the more conservative. Be patient with those who are a bit more sensitive. God is seeing to it that things that need to be in the oven a little bit longer are going to be there, but there is a revelation that's sweeping the nations concerning the functionality of the portals of God and the position of the believer concerning them, and we'll be looking at that down the road, but it was important to bring it up today so that you can pray about this and see what it is that God is saying to you concerning your purpose involving the portals of the kingdom of God. Let's pray, father.

Thank you that you have these things in mind, because we would be thinking about a variety of other things, thank you. Thank you that the purpose that you have in mind is something you keep focused on and you bring us back into focus. Holy Spirit, continue to guide us, lead us, please, and I thank you for it, for showing us Jesus and drawing us deeper into him, to be more and more like him, and we stand here in his name and we declare to be so and we say amen, amen, amen, amen.
