Sometimes It Takes Courage To Wait
Ever wondered why some divine promises seem perpetually stuck on "pending" status? That uncomfortable feeling of restlessness when God's timeline doesn't match yours isn't just frustrating—it might actually be disconnecting you from the very breakthroughs you're waiting for.
This episode explores the profound connection between patience and spiritual power. Using the analogy of a power switch, we discover how impatience can effectively cut us off from experiencing God's provision—not because the power isn't available, but because we've disconnected ourselves through frustration and unbelief. With insights from Galatians 6:9, we learn that perseverance isn't just passive waiting but an active stance of courage that keeps us connected to divine possibilities.
What makes Noah's story so remarkable wasn't just the scale of his construction project, but his willingness to remain connected to God's instructions despite never having seen rain. His experience illustrates how we function as citizens of God's Kingdom while navigating the constraints of time and space. Our temporal existence creates the perfect environment for developing patience—a virtue that can only be cultivated in the gap between promise and fulfillment. Whether you're waiting for answers, breakthrough, or resolution, this message offers practical wisdom on maintaining your spiritual connection during seasons of apparent delay. The good news? The Holy Spirit produces patience as fruit in our lives, enabling us to stay plugged in until God's appointed time arrives.

I was recently going through this kind of a review in my mind concerning some of the things that I had heard the Lord speak to me about and the fact that they hadn't taken place yet, and I want to underscore, yet. But as I was thinking about some of these things, that whole aspect of patience came into play and I had to admit that there were some things that I was impatient about, that I was being, you know, feeling, being agitated on the inside, that impatient feeling of just it's not happening yet and there's a frustration and there can actually be an anger. That's there and it's an uncomfortable feeling, and it creates an uncomfortable feeling for other people as well when we're impatient. And so I was looking at that and I came upon this passage in the book of Galatians Galatians, chapter 6, specifically verse 9. And the Apostle Paul says in his exhortation to this group of people he said and let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season, we shall reap. If we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint. Wow, in due time and at the appointed season, we shall reap if right, if we don't get impatient if we don't lose our patience and just quit and just say, ah, forget it, and we cut off the supply, we turn the switch off. It's not an issue whether or not there's power, it's just the power has been turned off by impatience and a decision to say forget about it.
Speaker 1:Interesting how there could be all the power available, how there could be all the power available, but there's a need for us to keep it connected and patience is one of those points of faith. It is this aspect of actually courage to believe. Sometimes it takes courage to believe in things that we're not seeing take place yet, because it can. To an outsider's viewpoint, it can look foolish. Like what are you waiting for? Like Noah and the ark how the people around him were ridiculing him because they had never seen rain and he was talking about rain and it hadn't happened yet. Now Noah could have given up. He didn't, but he could have.
Speaker 1:And he gives us an example of what it really means to persevere and to keep things connected to the power supply, meaning God. God is our power supply, his kingdom is our power supply and his kingdom is designed to come from the invisible and manifest into the visible, To come from the eternal realm into the realm of time and space that we live in, and that's really the rub man. That's really where things kind of meet, where we live in a past, present and future way of life, whereas in eternity everything is now. Everything is now, and so for us to grow in patience, this is the only place that we can do that. Earth is the only place in time and space is the only realm in which we can do that. Earth is the only place in time and space is the only realm in which we can actually develop these things. Otherwise they're just there Because it's all now.
Speaker 1:It really doesn't take patience if everything happens at the speed of thought, but if everything happens at the speed of thought. But when we deal with past, present and future, time provides us delays or seeming delays should be a real challenge for all of us, any of us, because it's part of the experience of living in the realm of time and space. But when we function as citizens of the kingdom and we realize that the provision has already taken place, it's just how it's going to manifest in the here and now, in the realm of time and space, and if we don't cut the connection off, it will take place. The word of god will accomplish what he said it would accomplish. I mean, if not through us, it's going to be accomplished. It's going to be accomplished, but if it's going to be accomplished through us, it's going to require faith, and in faith, sometimes there's a need for us to be patient. And so, as a point of encouragement to you, I want to encourage you in your particular place in life right now, whatever it is that you might be facing, that if you're challenged with something that requires patience I'm going to read it again From Galatians 6, verse 9, the Apostle Paul said and let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season, we shall reap if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.
Speaker 1:Let's pray, father, I thank you, and faint, let's pray, father, I thank you that you, by your Spirit, give to us the fruit of patience, and in love there is patience and Holy Spirit. I ask that you manifest within our life the ability to be patient and not lose heart, go weary and faint, drop our courage, for that we would be courageous, full of faith, holding on to the promises that you've given and saying that they are in Jesus. Yes and amen. And so, in his name, we say yes and amen, amen, amen, amen, amen. All right, folks, I love you.
