Kindness Changes Things: We Need One Another
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
What if the smallest act of kindness could do more than brighten a mood—what if it could carry God’s presence into someone’s hardest hour? We open our hearts and our playbook to share how simple, intentional kindness has become a daily practice, a spiritual posture, and a bridge between communities that might never meet in person. From Jacksonville, Florida to a fellowship near Kisii, Kenya, we’ve discovered that generosity and prayer travel farther together than either could alone.
Our ongoing friendship with Pastor Moses and Rock of Hope is a case study in mutuality: where American resources stretch through Kenya’s economy, and Kenya’s deep, resilient faith strengthens us when we feel thin. We talk frankly about money and integrity in a world flooded with scams, and why transparency, trust, and measurable care are non‑negotiables. We also explore how a cup of coffee, a timely message, or quiet help often speaks louder than a thousand words. Sometimes the Spirit rides on a simple gift; sometimes words of hope are the gift. Wisdom is listening for which is needed now.
We share why we pursue a naturally supernatural life—seeking healing without hype, never faking what God hasn’t done, and never denying what He can do. Kindness becomes formation: loving the people who stretch us, not just the ones who are easy to love. It’s how “spots and wrinkles” are lifted from weary days, how strangers become friends, and how a Church spread across continents becomes one family. If you’re curious about praying, giving, or one day traveling with a team to support the work in Kenya, we’ll be posting updates and practical next steps on our site soon.
Join us, not for a program, but for a posture. Try one intentional kindness today and see what doors God opens. If this resonates, subscribe, share the episode with a friend, and leave a review—tell us your best idea for a small act of love we can all try this week.

Setting Focus On David And Today
SPEAKER_02In the next couple weeks, we're going to be focusing our attention in on the life of David as it's revealed in the scriptures and how his life correlates to our life in 2026. It's pretty amazing how things are developing now and how they had transpired before, and the principles that we see in operation, they're significant. And I think you're going to really enjoy hearing from myself and others some of the insights that God revealed to us concerning the life of David. But what we're doing in the meantime is we're taking some time and going over really just some things that are kind of key points that go on in our daily lives, but don't always get highlighted. And one of the things that we're looking at today in this episode is just the acts of kindness that we provide that are sometimes seemingly incidental, meaning we don't really think about it too much, we just are kind to someone, and lo and behold, we find out that it impacts them in a significant way, or something transpires as a result of our kindness. But also, there are some really serious, significant acts of kindness that impact our lives in a deep way, and the fact that we need each other in the body of Christ. We need one another. And that's something that we're highlighting in this particular episode today. The fact that we need each other, and we also need to express to one another acts of kindness. Sometimes they're not that big, but they actually have a big impact, or they can be real significant things that have a lasting effect in the world that we live in. And so we are right now, currently, as a ministry, Life Around the Fire, we are involved in a relationship with another group of people that are in a different country. We are stationed out of America, out of Jacksonville, Florida, actually. And we are in relationship with another fellowship that is in Kenya, in a place outside of Kissy Town, Kenya. And the fellowship that we're in relationship with is Rock of Hope. And Pastor Moses Ansango and I meet via the phone on a regular basis, and we have, over the course of the past three years, really established a significant relationship and a trust between us. And also we've come to realize that we need each other. And what I mean by that is this. Now, when you stop and think about just economy for a minute, just money. There's a gentleman that we all know of, or most of us do anyway, by the name of Elon Musk. And Elon Musk is one of the, if not the wealthiest men on planet Earth. And his wealth is in the billions of dollars, perhaps approaching a trillion, who knows? A lot of money. In fact, 83% of the world's total population, the income of 83% of the total income of the world is less than what Elon Musk is worth. So we're, you know, there's a lot of money. There's a lot of money. And however, that is type of financial world that that air, we're not traveling in that particular air right now, at least ministry-wise, right? As kings and as priests of our Lord, who owns cattle on a thousand hills, talking about our Heavenly Father, well, his wealth is unsurpassed. The earth is his in the fullness of it, everything in it. So he owns everything. So his wealth, there is no match. But as far as people on earth, yeah, Elon Musk is he carries, you know, he carries a lot of weight in that area. But we're looking at things, as I said, concerning our relationship with this group of people in Kenya. And I bring in money because money is involved in our relationship. But with us, you see, money is not funny. Because money can be funny. Talk about it for a minute, man. There are a lot of scams that are going on all over the place that carry a variety of names, and one of the chief names that scams abound in is in the name of religion. And sometimes even in the name of Jesus, specifically. Christianity is known for its scandalous handling of finances, by and large. But there are exceptions to that. And that is a wonderful thing that I see growing more and more of, and that is people that have integrity when it comes to finances. But since we're talking about finances and we're talking about our relationship with this group in Kenya, it doesn't matter whether or not we had a billion dollars or if we had a few extra dollars. You see, because a dollar in America, a dollar in America is worth a hundred and twenty-nine Kenya shillings. So in America, we are rich in financial abundance, even if we have a few extra dollars. Because we have people who are friends in Kenya who one of our dollars is equivalent to 129 of their shillings. That's a phenomenal exchange. So even in our basic structure of income, with the three extra dollars that we share with our friends in Kenya, that money goes so much further, and in that respect, we are rich in resources, but because they are currently a rather impoverished nation, those believers in Kenya have a richness that we in America don't, because they have a richness in their faith. In fact, the scripture says that God has caused the poor of this world to be rich in faith. So their faith, combined with our resources of practical provision that we can share, has produced a type of relationship that is right now one of the strongest relationships that I've ever been involved with, and we have yet to set feet in Kenya, and yet we have a relationship because God is a God of relationships, and He can transcend time and space. But we need each other. You see, I need Moses and his gang in Kenya to be in prayer for us in America because we face things that require some help in prayer.
SPEAKER_00We are not independent from one another.
Mutual Need: Resources And Faith
SPEAKER_02We need each other. Some of the resources that we have, our friends in Kenya need. So we can provide that. But also we have needs that our friends in Kenya can help meet because they have faith for certain things. And faith is the conduit through which the things from the kingdom of God flow into the world that we live in, in the realm of time and space. Faith is that bridge, that conduit, that highway that God travels on. And so we need one another in our simple acts of kindness. Friend of mine, Mark. Mark Jensrud, a friend of mine, known him for over forty years. He laid something on me the other day, and it was this that our kindness is one of the ways in which we can help remove a spot or a wrinkle from the bride of Christ. That is rich, man. Our act of kindness actually impact another person's life, and it can remove a spot or a blemish from their day just by a simple act of kindness. Now, the acts of kindness that Rock of Hope and Life Around the Fire Exchange are a little more significant. Now, not everyone can do that, but we can all do something. We can all express an act of kindness, at least one, right?
SPEAKER_00At least one a day that would help eliminate some of the difficulties that we encounter because an act of kindness a cup of coffee give it to somebody.
SPEAKER_01Just because.
Kindness As Removing Wrinkles
SPEAKER_02Just because. It doesn't have to be followed up with any kind of sermonette. It can be an act of kindness and let the kindness speak for itself. Let the Holy Spirit flow without us forcing something additional to take place.
SPEAKER_01Because sometimes an act of kindness is the word of the Lord.
SPEAKER_00Because his presence can accompany that act of kindness. Jesus touching someone through us.
SPEAKER_02Sometimes it's wonderful to express to others why we are so full of hope. The hope that's in us, and we can give account for it. It's beautiful. But it doesn't need to be a program. So it has to be programmed.
SPEAKER_00Program things are you know they they they have their place.
SPEAKER_01But mostly life is lived out.
Let Kindness Speak Without Hype
SPEAKER_02And acts of kindness oftentimes acts of kindness alone lead to a question that a person gives when they receive an act of kindness out of the blue, it's how did you know why why why'd you do that? How did you know? How did you know I needed that? Well, we might not necessarily know why, but God knows why. And He is looking for available people to demonstrate acts of kindness both to and through. He loves giving us his kindness and for us to receive it.
SPEAKER_01He also loves it being expressed from us so others can receive it.
SPEAKER_00Being connected is important.
SPEAKER_02Us being connected with the Rock of Hope in Kenya, we're not just connected to an organization, we're connected to people. We're connected to one another.
SPEAKER_00I'm connected to my friends and family in Kenya, and they're connected to me, they're connected to us.
SPEAKER_02Now, in the future, you're gonna be able to go onto our website and see some of the things that go on in Kenya, and there are ways on our website that you can support what's going on, whether that's prayerfully, financially, or becoming one of the team members that periodically go to Kenya to help support, to help really steward the glory of the Lord, to be part of something that is beyond us.
SPEAKER_00But we need each other, and we need to express acts of kindness.
SPEAKER_02It's not that we got to, it's that we get to. We get to participate in the things of the kingdom, and yes, signs and wonders are important, and they are part of our life.
SPEAKER_00Naturally supernatural living.
Connection Over Programs
SPEAKER_02According to the manifestations of the kingdom of God, things that we will not fake, but nor will we say that they don't exist. We are open and we are in pursuit of healing, because healing is the children's bread. But an act of kindness, a simple act of kindness, that can be one of the ways in which we get involved in kingdom things, is by starting with acts of kindness, random acts of kindness, sometimes without people even knowing why we're doing it. But being known as a people that know how to demonstrate love to one another, specifically as it relates to those of us who are in the body of Christ, love to another, other members of the body of Christ. Paul says in Romans 12, especially those who try our nerves, especially those who work your nerves, express kindness, gentleness, patience, tolerance, and actually love.
SPEAKER_01Specifically and especially to those who might stretch us, but also to those who it's easy to love. The person who looks like they always got it going on might not necessarily look like they need anything, but kindness, we all need kindness, and we all need to have the spots and the wrinkles removed from us.
SPEAKER_02And if kindness is one of the ways that that can happen, let's be applying kindness as much as possible. So that we can be a bride that is known as the one who prepares herself to meet the Lord.
SPEAKER_00Hallelujah.
Website, Teams, And Future Support
SPEAKER_02We get to be people of kindness and we need one another. Let's pray. Father, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for who you are, for what you're doing, for how you're doing it, the fact that you're using us.
SPEAKER_00Thank you.
SPEAKER_02Continue to use us as people who demonstrate kindness, but also who can be vulnerable toward one another and open so that we can demonstrate the fact that we need our brothers and sisters, and that we can accept the privilege of them needing us and the responsibility of it, that we could truly be a brother's keeper and look after one another so that we can be available for you to demonstrate your life, your love, your plan, your purposes, not only to us, but through us, Father. And we thank you, and we stand here and we declare these things to be true and real in the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Amen. All right, folks, we love you.
