God doesn’t need better rumors about Him, He reveals Himself. We lean hard into that conviction as we talk about why Scripture is the bedrock for Life Around The Fire and why the written Word of God still carries power for real life today. We’re not chasing religious noise or nostalgia for another era. We’re watching God move now, and we want our faith to stay anchored, honest, and alive.

We unpack what we mean by awakening, reformation, revival, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, using Ezekiel’s river as a vivid picture of depth that keeps increasing until it overwhelms everything. We also get blunt about the difference between healthy spiritual disciplines and dead religion. The goal isn’t a scripted performance or a checklist. The goal is relationship, intimacy, and a life that makes God recognizable to the people closest to you.

One of the most personal moments is a testimony from our own home: how our daughters once associated Jesus with lifeless church, but over time encountered real faith through consistent witness and the Holy Spirit’s work. We remind you that salvation is the crowning jewel, then we encourage you to stop fearing opinions, yield your gifts, and trust the strength of God within you when pressure hits. We close by praying for courage, power, love, and a sound mind. If this encouraged you, subscribe, share it with a friend, and leave a review so more people can find the podcast.

Scripture As The Bedrock

SPEAKER_01

The written foundation for everything that we do here at Life on the Fire is based upon the scriptures. The Holy Bible. The Bible is a standard, excuse me, for us here. And it's our bottom line. Everything that we speak about comes from what's already been written. Because the written word of God carries with it powerful, powerful demonstrations, plural demonstrations for us today. It didn't stop back in the first century AD. God continues to move across the nations. And right now, we are in what is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, demonstration of God on planet earth outside of the appearance of Jesus Christ. And I know what I'm saying, but I mean every word of it. We are in a time of awakening, reformation, revival, demonstration. Really, it's an outpouring of God's Spirit in a great way because God is setting the record straight. There's

Awakening And The River Of God

SPEAKER_01

been a lot said about Him, and people have said this and they said that, and everything in between. And some has been good, and some has been less than good. But God, in His wisdom and in His sovereignty, has chosen now, at this point of time, to manifest Himself. Much like what Ezekiel spoke about when he saw a river flowing out, and that river was starting out shallow. It started out shallow, but it kept getting deeper and deeper and deeper until it really just overwhelmed everything. And God in his right now, right now, right now mode. Because the time in the kingdom of God is always now. Eternity is always now. The past doesn't exist, the present isn't yet. Even though God knows both completely, he deals in the now. And so now is the time. Today is the day of salvation. And so we are in a time right now in which God has chosen to unveil certain things about himself because he's setting the record straight. It's not talk about God. God himself is going to show, is showing, not going to show, is showing himself to be who he is, God. And then we can witness to that. And what that expresses himself, how he expresses himself, that quality to us and through us. See, God is going to do some things through us. He's going to use us as a witness, not necessarily memorizing our life story and presenting it to people, but the sheer fact that we are going to glow. We're going to be ablaze with the countenance and the presence of God. The glory of the Lord is going to be seen in us and upon us and around us. The para and an epi. The in, upon, and around of God. He wants to because he loves us. And by and large, there are people who are in a place who are listening to this, by and large, who are in a place where you're either totally on board with what's going on in the kingdom of God or something is moving inside of you and you can't quite put your finger on it. I'll tell you what that something is. It's one of the something, it's a someone. Holy Spirit is wooing you into a place of relationship. See, it's not religion. It's not about religion. In fact, if it were about religion, nobody, including myself, would be interested in sharing anything at this point in time. Because religion is dead. Dead religion. Now, there are some things that we do religiously, of course. You know, you brush your teeth, you comb your hair.

Relationship Over Dead Religion

SPEAKER_01

There are some things that we do, and there are some things that we do that are spiritual that we do systematically. We give to the poor, we tend to the orphans and the widows, we look to things that are important for us to be systematically taken care of. So we do them in an orderly fashion, repetitively, religiously. But that's not relationship. I don't say to my wife, How art thou? And she's looking at me and say, What happened? She wants to know, I says, Hey, baby, how are you doing? Well, in our relationship with God, there are places in which that is absolutely not just good, it keeps things alive. Intimacy. Things where we could be intimate, and we don't have to be formal about things. In fact, it's desired. Not religion, not formality, not a systematic way of always doing things. Page number one, song number three, stand up, sit down. We don't do that in our house, as it were, by and large, right? I mean, we might kid around, but we live, we move, we have, we, we, we, we, we live, we have a relationship. That's what God is interested in. In fact, there's no s there's no saying or question. Now, if someone were to follow you around all day, would they come to a place where they are closer to God? Would they know him? If someone were to follow me around and imitate what I did, would they know God or would it be just a religion that they were involved in? Would they really meet God and know God as a result? And I've had that situation unfold within my very house. We have two daughters of ours who are in their 20s. They're living with us because one, excuse me, number one, times are tough in many respects, and it takes some time to build up enough momentum to get your own place. And also, if you're going to school, it helps to have a place where you don't have to pay rent. Well, we have responsibilities,

A Household Changed By Witness

SPEAKER_01

all that stuff that we take care of on here, you know, financially, but we we we are we we live that way with my wife and I and our two daughters, whom we're really cold toward religion. In fact, for a while their association with Jesus was the sort of the picture that they had. Their association with him was religion, was religious dead church services. The only thing, the only reason that they went at times to go was so that they could get some donuts. Truth.

SPEAKER_00

But they were observing my wife and I. And went to know it. We didn't know it.

SPEAKER_01

But as a result of them observing our life and the work of Holy Spirit, because that's who the evangelist really is, is the Holy Spirit. He's the one who brings about people to a place of salvation. Not me, not you, not anybody. I can't save anybody. People that try, stay away from it, man. It just drives me nuts. But they're observing our life, and we were the only Bible they were reading. But you know what? Something happened as a result of the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. They overcame by the moving of the Holy Spirit, they overcame the powers of darkness, and they are now born-again citizens of the Kingdom of God in an intimate relationship with their Heavenly Father, knowing Jesus as their Savior and Lord, and the Holy Spirit as their guide and teacher. In our house, today in 2026, the four of us are in unity. We are united. Hallelujah! Salvation has come to our house. That's a powerful thing. And it wasn't because we quoted scriptures at them or we told them that if they didn't come and get their stuff together and get in line, they're together, they're out of here. We didn't approach things that way. Oh, we talked straight about things, but we didn't lay on that critical ultimatum. Nor hit them hard in the head with John 3.16. Oh, there's a place for that, right? Of course. But once again, sometimes we're the only Bible that people will read. And they were reading real close and real careful. And what happened was, by virtue of our testimony, the blood of the Lamb and the work of the Holy Spirit in a relationship of their own with their Lord and Savior, with the Heavenly Father, and with a wonderful, beautiful Holy Spirit. And our houses united. Praise God. Praise God. I pray that for you and your household. And things like that are taking place all around the world, and even more than that. I should say that's the that's the crowning jewel right there. You can't say more than that. Salvation is not, well, now let's get to the real good stuff. No, no, no. Salvation is the crowning jewel. Everything else is added, and everything else, though, is pretty significant. And that's what we're exploring right now is the everything else that goes along with covenant. And God is showing it to us, and he wants to reveal it because it demonstrates his kingdom, his love, his power, and his glory. And we get to be expressing that. And that's happening more and more and more all around the nations. And I'm encouraged. I'm encouraged, so I'm encouraging you. Things are changing, man. Things are going to continue to change, and sometimes overnight. One day things were this way in our household. The next day, they changed the different. The better and the best is yet to come. Come on, man. Hallelujah. So the Bible is our bedrock, right? But sometimes we will quote chapter and verse, but other times we kind of like to make you work for a little bit. Because most everything that we communicate here, you can find a scripture reference to it. Not if you stretch and make it try to fit. No.

Speaking Scripture Without Chapter Numbers

SPEAKER_01

In him we live and move our half and have our being. It's found in the scriptures. But the apostle Paul, in saying that, was actually quoting from a poet that was a pagan poet. And it was an inscription that was there to the unknown God. And then the Apostle Paul said, Wow, in him we live and have a move and have our being. You know, but we say that here, but we don't always say it's an Acts chapter following up. Not because it's wrong to do that, but sometimes we, and I say me, I love to express things in a way that doesn't always have chapter and verse to it. Because I noticed Jesus didn't always have chapter and verse when he communicated. But you can be guaranteed that you could find a reference to the word because he was the word. And the word is in us, dwelling within us. He's written his word on our hearts. Hallelujah. So what I'm trying to say is this you won't always hear chapter and verse, but I encourage you to take some things that have been said and find the reference to them. They're there, because I have found in my life that I don't always have to quote chapter and verse, but the word of God can flow out of my mouth. And as I'm speaking to other people, I'm not trying to be sneaky or clever, it's just fluent and natural, naturally supernatural. So, folks, we're in a time where God is using us in a significant way, but even more than that, he's revealing himself in a more significant way, in a greater and deeper way. And some of us have been dry as dust or dry as a funeral drum. But that's gonna change, that is changing. How do I know? I've been one who's been dry as dust. I can now say the

From Dryness To Courageous Living

SPEAKER_01

river of life is flowing through me and I'm encouraged. Are there gonna be hard times? Of course there will be. But the strength within me is greater than the outside pressure. So I'm not gonna cave. In fact, I'm gonna influence the outside because greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. So, folks, I want to say to you all that God has given you tremendous gifts, and they are alive today, and some of them are very creative and unique. Don't be afraid of men. Don't be afraid of the opinions of men. Allow God to use you in the way that He's created you to be useful, and you'll find that as you yield yourself over, it doesn't feel staged or hard, it flows because it tends to be relational. There are things in store for us, and we are now in not just the beginning stages, we're in a growing stage of revelation from God concerning Himself, revealing Himself, and His glory is going to cover the earth just as the waters cover the sea. It's going to happen, and we are going to be united in the body of Christ as one, even as Jesus and the Father are one. And it's going to be done before the return of the Lord. Hallelujah. And Holy Spirit is at work helping us prepare ourselves to meet the king. Like Esther, prepare yourself to meet the king. So we ourselves are preparing ourselves to meet the king. For this king is like that king. This king is King Jesus, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. And his law, the law of Christ, is the law of love. Hallelujah. That we will pick up in the next excuse me. That we'll pick up in the next podcast episode. But for now, I'd like to close in prayer. Father, hallelujah. Father, father, father, we come to you. I come to you, encouraged and excited for things that you're doing and things that you're going to be doing. Things you have done, I thank you for. And we honor you and we worship

you. We submit ourselves to you and invite you to consume us with your fire and let us flow in your river.

SPEAKER_00

What a unique combination. Consumed, overcome.

SPEAKER_01

Your river would flow over our heads. And we just flow with the river. Hallelujah. God, thank you. You have not given us a spirit of fear, a spirit of power and love and of a sound mind. So let that sound mind resonate within each person and help us, Holy Spirit, become more and more like Jesus without us doubling down and pushing it with our own efforts. But we yield to you and we thank you for who you are and how you're doing things. And we stand here in the mighty name of Jesus and we declare this to be true. And so we say, Amen, amen, and amen. Amen. All right, folks. We love you. And if you have any thoughts, questions, concerns, man, please feel free to drop us a line at Life for on the Fire at gmail.com. That's our email address. Or just type in Life for On the Fire and look us up on the web. We would love to hear from you in the meantime, man. God bless you. Adios, amigos.
