What If Unity Requires Repentance

Behind The Scenes With DAW

It's been a few days since we've published the last podcast, and the reason behind that, the reason behind that is I have been working diligently behind the scenes on putting together a DAW, a digital audio workstation. And that is not a small thing. It's a very involved process, and I'm 67 years old, not a computer geek, but I am bound and determined to learn this, and with God's help, I am. But it's taking time. And so as a result, we haven't put out a podcast for a minute, but I want to share something today that's been burning on my heart, and it concerns unity in the body of

A Call To Spirit-Led Unity

Christ. The fact that we are called to be one, even as Jesus and the Father are one. So that type of unity, that perfect type of unity, is what we are called into. And we can't accomplish that on our own. People try to do that, and it produces certain synods, it produces certain congressional opportunities, it involves things that are human-related, but they lack the divine impetus that it takes to really join people together as one, even as God is one. It takes the Spirit of God doing that. And good news, he is doing that, and he's doing that in a very significant in a very significant way right now. In the year 2026, we are in a transitional time all throughout the nations, and God is in the midst of manifesting his kingdom in a way that we have not yet seen because he is intending to manifest his presence. Not just the presence of an angel, but the very presence of God intensified on planet earth because he's setting the record straight. There's been a lot of talk about him, and some people are accurate, some people aren't, and some people just don't care. But God cares.

New Birth Over Religion

And he wants us to know him and to be in relationship with him. Not a religion, not a Christian religion, not a set of things to do on our own and try to do better so we can become good enough to get into the kingdom, and then what? Right? No, we need to be supernaturally born again into the kingdom of God by the Spirit of God. And when we are, because we place our faith, our confidence in Jesus Christ, not in our own works, but in the works of Jesus Christ that he accomplished on our behalf. That we are humble enough to say that we can't do it on our own and we need help. Not just any help, we need the help of Jesus. Because Jesus said, I am the way, I am the truth, and I'm the life. No one comes to the Father except he comes through me. But those who come to him, he will in no wise reject. So coming to him is something that also is a supernatural act. It's the work of the Holy Spirit to draw people to Jesus. So if you have been drawn to Jesus, it wasn't because you decided one day to be good, it was because you have been drawn over a period of time. And if you are being drawn and you never have experienced new birth, you are going to, and it's going to blow your mind, and probably the minds of the people around you, but I get ahead of myself. I'm talking about unity in the body of Christ that's actually beginning to take place, and it's taking place not because of creeds, not because of councils, not because of having together a denominational way of doing things, but by the presence of God being manifest in a way that causes us to see and know him, and change takes place as a result of that. His holy presence reveals to us that there is a need for us to turn from certain things and turn to him. This is the word for repent. Because his kingdom is at hand. Again, it's being manifest in a greater way, and we need to be in line with that, with what he's doing. And one of the things that he's doing significantly and has been, and is increasing the work in it, and that is the joining together of the body of Christ around the world, becoming one unit. Unique as that is, as unique as that sounds, as just unique, period. It isn't something that can be done once again by human effort. It's cooperation, and that's what I'm learning to do is to cooperate with God, setting aside my agendas. Instead of feeling a sense of competition, I have a desire for cooperation, to cooperate with one another, to join together and cooperate, not because of a creed, but because of the relationship we have with the Lord and His presence, his Spirit leading and guiding us into all truth, and we have his written word as our guideline. Hallelujah.

One Body With Many Parts

And speaking of the written word, in 1 Corinthians, in the New Testament, in 1 Corinthians chapter 12, verse 12, beginning at verse 12, and following, I read, this is the Apostle Paul saying, The body is a unit. And he's talking about the body Christ. He's talking about those of us who are believers of Jesus, the church, the church at large, where he's taking excuse me, he's talking to this church in Corinth. But it's applicable to us because it's the word of God. The Apostle Paul was inspired to write this. Yes, to the people in Corinth, but also it might as well be written to you, to me, to us. And he's explaining something. He says, the body is a unit, though it's made up of many parts. The body's a unit, though it's made up of many parts, and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one spirit into one body, whether Jews or Greeks or Gentiles, whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free, and we were all given one spirit to drink. I like that. Holy Spirit to drink, not just wine and spirits. In fact, don't get drunk with wine, but be filled with the Holy Spirit. Drink, drink, drink, drink. The one spirit to drink. Now the Holy Sp no no excuse me. Now the body is not made up of one part, but of many. If the foot should say, Because I'm not a hand, I not belong to the body, it would not be for that reason to cease to be part of the body. And if the ear should say, Because I'm not an eye, I do not belong to the body, it would not for that reason cease to be a part of the body. If the whole body were one eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? But in fact, God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts but one body. Is there more than one way? And how do I know these things that concern Christ? And, you know, is there more than one facet of Christ? And a lot of stuff was being asked, and that's still being asked today. A lot of confusion. And the Apostle Paul was laying it out very clear that there's a lot of people, but we're all joined to one body.

And we all have different functions in that body. Right? And so the eye cannot say to the hand, right?

And the ear cannot say to the eye. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has combined the members of the body, he has given greater honor to be the parts that have that lacked it. So there should be no division in the body. But in its parts should be equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it. If one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. I'm gonna do that better. Okay, I'm gonna read that again. Verse 21 and following. The eye cannot say to the hand, I don't need you, and the head cannot say to the feet, I don't need you. On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable. And the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor, and the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has combined the members of the body and has given great honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should be of equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it. If one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is part of it.

Visible Gifts And Hidden Strength

That's so right on, man. We are equal in value, but we differ in function.

Some of us have functions that are more visible, such as someone who speaks, or someone who does some upfront work, like music, dance, they they do upfront visible things.

I'm a seer and a seer. So I get a lot of encouragement that comes to me from outside sources because I'm reaching out and being visible, but there are other people that aren't visible, that are prayer warriors that are never seen. And the Apostle Paul is saying that if you're one of those people, because not everyone's comfortable speaking. And, you know, if if you're to use a baseball analogy, if you're a baseball pitcher and you can pitch 100 miles an hour, that makes you special. That you have a unique quality to you. But just because you can't throw 100 miles an hour doesn't mean you're not part of the team. Not everyone can throw 100 mile an hour fastball, and not everyone is supposed to. Just like in the body of Christ, we have visible parts and we have the parts that are more hidden behind the scenes.

Role Reversals And Real Community

But there's also a transition that periodically takes place, and I want to just provide some insight on this as well, and that is this that sometimes the transition that we go through is a role reversal because God wants us to experience different parts of the body of Christ to function in them because it fills in our lives in a unique way. And so, for example, there are times where I'm a public person, but the Lord will say to me, David, I want you to be quiet and be quiet.

Not just, you know, tone it down, but to be quiet and pray. Not publicly, but privately. I want you to spend time praying and investing yourself in the scriptures. And you know what? Nobody sees that. Nobody sees but God.

But the effect is that the rest of the body Christ is benefited from that because that serves a part. It's a very important part.

Prayer is a very vital part of the body of Christ.

You don't necessarily see it communicated as something that you know people uh recognize the name of a prayer warrior. They may never share that name. And some of you are ministering in areas of the world where they people never know your name. You're ministering in small settings where no one's gonna know your name. You're not part of a larger thing. That doesn't mean that you are lesser. It just means that you are smaller. Sometimes that's even more honorable. I've been part of small fellowships where it's really, you know, it's it's it's it's in qu it's it's it's it's been it's been required of me to get to know people. Not just casually, but to really get to you get in a small situation, you really get to know people or you get out of there. And even in the getting to know people, it's not always comfortable, but it's good. Because being isolated is unhealthy on many levels. First of all, it uh inhibits our way, limits our way of communication. It's hard to communicate to other people if you don't interact with other people. Your opinion is the only opinion that you got, and so your opinion always rules. That's not the way life works. And so being a loner is not a healthy thing, but also you're easy to pray when you're a loner, easily picked off because we need one another. We're created that way, and the scriptures clearly tell us that and encourage us to embrace that and to prepare ourselves for something that Jesus prayed for in John chapter 17, and that is that we, his people, would be one even as he and the Father are one. And so that's going on right now. Transitions are taking place because the presence of God is being manifested in a greater way, and we're giving opportunity, we're giving we're being given opportunity to experience different things. Sometimes the first will be last, and last will be first. Sometimes those who have been on the inside get a surge of boldness, and God gives them the ability to speak and prophesy. Because He wants you to experience that and to know what that feels like, to know what it's like to walk in that, so we can appreciate one another. Hallelujah.

Embracing Change With Humility

Well, I hope that these insights and this sharing is beneficial because that's really our heartbeat, to provide exhortation and encouragement and some correction when necessary. So this is really a point of encouragement to embrace change and embrace the reality that happens when God manifests his presence and humble yourself and allow him to transition you into other and greater ways of ministry. Let's pray. Father, thank you for who you are, for who you are, for what you're doing, and how you're doing things.
