Finding Meaning in Your Photography with Rachel Larsen Weaver
Show Notes

Today’s chat for the eighth episode is with Rachel Larsen Weaver who is a wedding and family photographer mostly serving Southern Maryland, Virgina, and the Washington DC area.

Rachel has created an amazing guide for self portraits which she also describes as a self love guide disguised as a self portrait primer. You can also find her talking about all the things in Now Now school with Yan Palmer and Adrienne Oliver.

In this episode we discuss how to show up as yourself through self portraiture and talking about photographers this is just an example of something Rachel shared: “These are people who are constantly able to see the beauty in other people. That is something they have trained their eyes towards. We need to have the conversation about redirecting that towards ourselves. I think it’s a beautiful symbiotic relationship. I think when you are better at seeing yourself lovingly your eyes are trained to look at your clients in a different way, to look at your subjects in a different way”.  Rachel also shares what the slow roll session is and why she came up with it for her business and a little about living with contradictions as an artist. It’s all so good that you won’t want to miss a moment.
