The Creative Frame - A Photography Podcast
A podcast for photographers looking for creative inspiration and a glance into other artist’s creative processes.
Are you feeling stuck right now with everything going on in the world? What would it mean for your photography to lean in, really lean in, to the idea of creating straight from the heart.
Creating for yourself not for the socials or for posting but creating work that resonates with you & makes your heart burst. How can we bring a little light into our lives right now through our art?
Each month I’ll be interviewing photographers about what’s inspiring their current projects, their dreams, and how they’ve found their voice as an artist along with how to stay inspired to pick up your camera. I hope you’ll join us for this adventure.

Photographing the Richness and Fleeting Moments of Family Life with Mercy Haruna
I am so incredibly excited to share this conversation with Mercy Haruna with you today. Mercy is a portrait and documentary photographer dedicated to capturing the fleeting moments of family life. She focuses on stories that capture the beauty of the everyday as well as those that dive into deeper conversations about the realities of motherhood. Her latest project, Offspring aims to create space for Black mothers in the UK to share their stories related to the physical and psychological changes that come with the transition into motherhood. Mercy is so full of life and truth and her passion for her photography really shines through as we talk. And we really cover some ground today talking about topics from Mercy’s current projects, the self doubt we all feel as creatives, the importance of sharing the richness of life through her visual storytelling. I know this conversation will leave you with ideas for digging deeper into the meaning behind your photography & storytelling & I would love to hear your thoughts after you listen so share with us on Instagram tagging the podcast and Mercy.
