The Creative Frame - A Photography Podcast
A podcast for photographers looking for creative inspiration and a glance into other artist’s creative processes.
Are you feeling stuck right now with everything going on in the world? What would it mean for your photography to lean in, really lean in, to the idea of creating straight from the heart.
Creating for yourself not for the socials or for posting but creating work that resonates with you & makes your heart burst. How can we bring a little light into our lives right now through our art?
Each month I’ll be interviewing photographers about what’s inspiring their current projects, their dreams, and how they’ve found their voice as an artist along with how to stay inspired to pick up your camera. I hope you’ll join us for this adventure.

Visual Storytelling and Finding Your Voice as a Photographer with Alanna O’Neil
For today’s episode, I’m talking with Alanna O’Neil. She is a photographer and author in Maui, Hawaii who has worked with leading brands, including Francis Ford Coppola, Vermont Creamery, and Olympia Provisions. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, among other international publications.
Alanna describes herself as someone who has had many ups and downs as an entrepreneur, and she firmly believes in the power of embracing her style and aesthetic wholeheartedly.
As a forever student, she appreciates the value of sharing knowledge and tips to help you grow. She loves to see photographers and creatives branch out from the standard box principles to create their own style and visual voice.
We are going to be diving into visual storytelling and finding maybe defining our own voice as a photographer today so let’s get straight to it!
