The Creative Frame - A Photography Podcast
A podcast for photographers looking for creative inspiration and a glance into other artist’s creative processes.
Are you feeling stuck right now with everything going on in the world? What would it mean for your photography to lean in, really lean in, to the idea of creating straight from the heart.
Creating for yourself not for the socials or for posting but creating work that resonates with you & makes your heart burst. How can we bring a little light into our lives right now through our art?
Each month I’ll be interviewing photographers about what’s inspiring their current projects, their dreams, and how they’ve found their voice as an artist along with how to stay inspired to pick up your camera. I hope you’ll join us for this adventure.

Taking Risks & Telling Your Story through Photography with Leslie Schoen
For today’s episode, the last conversation of 2021 for the podcast, I’m talking with Leslie Schoen. Leslie lives in central Wisconsin with her husband and two daughters. Her educational training is in Marriage and Family Therapy and she began a photography business in 2013. Outside of client work, she is interested in the combination of painting & photography. She explores techniques like digital painterly effects and layering her own paintings into composite images. Leslie is also interested in the healing and self growth potential in creating art.
In this conversation, Leslie shares how she got into creating composites, some ways she developed her photographic voice, and how she learned to face the fears of creating and taking risks.
