Daily American

Fatherhood & Faith

DC Season 5 Episode 5

Authenticity resonates throughout this deeply personal episode where I step away from my usual audio-only format to offer a rare video update on The Daily American podcast. As we celebrate our 124th episode milestone and growing listenership, I wanted to share the driving forces behind this journey—my faith, my son Xavier, and my commitment to supporting non profit organizations.

Meet Xavier, my "best buddy" who changed everything. Fatherhood surprised me in the most profound ways possible, giving me direction when I needed it most and teaching me discipline through accountability. Those dark moments I've experienced seem more navigable now that I have this little man counting on me. This relationship exemplifies what The Daily American stands for: finding meaning through connection, responsibility, and love.

My approach to life and this podcast is grounded in equality—"I'm no better than the homeless man and no worse than the richest man in the world." This perspective shapes how I discuss everything from spirituality to politics, maintaining an open mind while acknowledging my personal pathway through Jesus. Whether you're drawn to conventional faith, universal energy, or finding meaning in nature, there's space for your perspective here. Every episode reflects this balance of personal conviction and respectful curiosity. Remember, your $10 monthly subscription doesn't buy you exclusive content—it funds support to nonprofit organizations, creating positive impact beyond just words and ideas. Join our growing community as we continue exploring life's meaningful questions together.

Speaker 1:

We are back with the Daily American. Hey guys, I just wanted to touch base. You know I don't put out too much video content but the Daily American is still off and running. We are 124 episodes coming this, wednesday complete. It's been an uptick in listeners. I thank you all very much. All profits go to 501c3s for veteran organizations. This is my little buddy, xavier. He's my best buddy. I never imagined how awesome it would be to be a father. He's getting ready for bedtime, but I wanted to touch base, do a quick video.

Speaker 1:

You know what's the Daily American all about? It's pretty much I and the Daily American, just like every other American or non-American On this planet. I'm no better than the homeless man and no worse than the richest man in the world or Donald Trump, or that Krum Klaus I think his name is who runs the World Economic Forum. That's neither here nor there. I'm just like you.

Speaker 1:

I think my perspective on things is pretty unique. I like to keep an open mind. I think the most important pillar to keep an open mind, I think the most important pillar to this life is God. Now, that may be different to everybody. Some of it may be the universe, some of it may be. You know that tree out back. And then for myself, I believe my pathway to paradise is through Jesus. As far as political standpoints go, I am socially liberal and fiscally conservative. What's that mean? I don't know. One of my buddies said it and I thought it sounded good the most important job that I can have on this, on this earth, is being his father, and you know it means everything to me and I do thank God, you know, almost every day for him, but I'm, I'm thanking God for another day, every single day. It is for his will to be done. And you know, here I am and I've been through some, some bottoms, and I'm not saying I'm not going to reach those bottoms anymore, but thanks to this little man, I got uh, I got more direction in my life and more discipline, because I can't let my little man down.

Speaker 1:

You getting sleepy, or is the audience? The audience is getting sleepy or is the audience getting sleepy too? Probably. Anyhow, short little video. Let you guys all know that episodes are still being released. I appreciate all the listeners. If you want to subscribe, it's $10 a month. What do you get for subscribing? Nothing. You get to donate to a 501c3 veteran organization. This guy's getting a little bit antsy, so we're gonna head off here and you say bye to the rest of the daily Americans of the world. I'm outta here, babe, bye. I'm out of here, babe, bye.
