In this episode Richard Tutin musings on the Filioque Clause found in the Nicene Creed. The Creed is used by many churches as their main profession of faith. The three words that make up the clause -and the Son- have been controversial and are at the heart of the Great Schism between the Western Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Churches. Its effects are still felt today.
