WEBVTT 00:00:01.362 --> 00:00:02.926 Hello Habit Mechanics. 00:00:02.926 --> 00:00:04.189 It's Dr John Finn here. 00:00:04.189 --> 00:00:05.472 I hope you're having a great week. 00:00:05.472 --> 00:00:18.335 So far, yet again, we've seen the acceleration of the AI era come hurtling towards us at a pace that I don't think anybody has predicted. 00:00:18.335 --> 00:00:37.551 There's been so many interesting news stories, so many interesting insights about results, about what businesses have invested, what's coming down the pipeline, what they're projecting, the technologies have invested in can actually do. 00:00:39.042 --> 00:01:05.775 Um, so some really, I think, exciting things are going to be coming in the next weeks and months, and I just wanted to talk very practically today about what we can do to help ourselves thrive, and sport is a great way to see performance psychology expressed physically. 00:01:05.775 --> 00:01:17.412 It's a bit more difficult when we're sitting at our desks doing the work we do every day to observe it, but in sport it's much clearer. 00:01:17.412 --> 00:02:00.798 And what we just had in the UK, and actually in Leeds, at the famous Headingley Stadium, was a test match, the first test match in a five-match series between England and India, two of the best teams in the world, and it was an epic test match, one which will go down in the history books as one of the greatest, but one which England ultimately came out on top and won the game and what was striking about England's performance, in particular their batting, was how good they were or how good their brain state intelligence was. 00:02:00.798 --> 00:02:04.347 Yeah, that's what we're coming on to to. 00:02:04.347 --> 00:02:25.473 So we know that we've created this new field of psychology human ai performance psychology to help people thrive as they work alongside ai, as we move to these smaller teams of of humans, and that's why we're going to see cuts in the workforce right, because we will need less humans, certainly in the jobs humans are currently being paid for. 00:02:25.473 --> 00:02:27.727 Other jobs may be created, we don't know. 00:02:27.727 --> 00:02:48.245 But the sort of practical application of human high performance psychology is brain state intelligence and just earlier this week we actually released a new training programme for personal mastery which is called the advanced brain state intelligence certification. 00:02:48.245 --> 00:02:59.652 So it's a five-week online program where you have some one-to-one coaching, support and um used to train you how to become brain state intelligent. 00:03:00.335 --> 00:03:21.536 But what we saw with the England cricket team and the England batsmen particularly, was a real awareness of controlling their activation levels. 00:03:21.536 --> 00:03:41.248 So in the past they've been accused of, in my language, not controlling their activation levels, not being brain state intelligent, but in the test match that's just gone, what we saw was a much greater awareness of. 00:03:41.248 --> 00:03:53.990 They would call it, in cricket, going up and down the gears, but I, in cricket, going up and down the gears, but I would call it going up and down the brain states because I want to come from a first principle perspective and ultimately, neurons are driving the behaviour. 00:03:53.990 --> 00:04:21.067 So this awareness of when to attack, when to defend, when to go fast, when to go slow, and what we saw just in a cricket innings, we can extrapolate that or we can compare that to a 24-hour period in your life, and this is what brain state intelligence is all about. 00:04:21.139 --> 00:04:28.081 It's about knowing when to recharge and what to do so you secure high quality recharge. 00:04:28.081 --> 00:04:46.572 It's about understanding how to properly do high charge, how to focus and concentrate really intensely when you need to, and it's about understanding how to optimize the way that you do medium charge work and when we extend that into our own lives. 00:04:46.572 --> 00:05:23.586 This is where the AI comes in, because we know we can use AI to extend, augment, supercharge or however you want to call it our high-charge work, because essentially, by working with generative AI like you're trying to create a strategy report or a marketing plan and you're going to use Claude or ChatGTP this is like outsourcing brain power so you can create the business plan faster because you don't have to completely depend on your own brain power and your own energy resources. 00:05:23.586 --> 00:05:31.553 Remember, our brain is powered by chemicals and sort of self-generated electricity. 00:05:31.553 --> 00:05:36.627 Ai is plugged into the mains right, so it has a much more stable power supply than we do. 00:05:36.627 --> 00:06:01.810 Um, and then medium charge work we can outsource completely and we're going to see much more of this, um, I think, in the coming weeks and months where we'll see businesses have invested significant sums of money into agentic ai that are basically digital workers, but they can take a lot of the mundane work off our plate, which means it frees up more recharge time. 00:06:01.810 --> 00:06:11.252 We don't need to be working at the desk till 11 o'clock at night and that means we can better charge our brain power up for those high charge moments. 00:06:12.822 --> 00:06:16.548 So I appreciate you might not be a cricket fan, you might not. 00:06:16.548 --> 00:06:23.326 You might not know even what cricket is, um, or sort of what the rules are, etc. 00:06:23.326 --> 00:06:46.273 But I think we can kind of see, just as people that are high performing in normal life the people that are high performing in any sporting arena, they share one common skill set, which is what I would call brain state intelligence. 00:06:46.273 --> 00:06:53.012 It's just that in our normal lives we can now start to use AI technologies to supercharge that. 00:06:53.012 --> 00:06:57.879 So I hope that's a helpful insight and it's got you thinking. 00:07:00.603 --> 00:07:04.086 As I said at the start, I think things are really going to ramp up now. 00:07:04.086 --> 00:07:28.526 So if you've been thinking about whether it's reading, train your brain for the higher revolution, doing the new mini course, even been thinking about becoming a brain state intelligence practitioner or even becoming a certified coach, or you're thinking about actually my people need some training on this, now is the time to do it. 00:07:28.526 --> 00:07:32.968 That's what every data point I've seen suggests. 00:07:32.968 --> 00:07:35.766 So get ahead of this curve. 00:07:35.766 --> 00:07:48.684 Don't get left behind and use this exciting period of history to benefit you, to benefit your family, to benefit the people you work with. 00:07:48.684 --> 00:07:48.884 You know. 00:07:48.884 --> 00:07:52.661 Don't look back in six months and regret kind of missing the opportunity to get ahead. 00:07:52.661 --> 00:07:56.189 And it doesn't matter where our brain state intelligence is right now. 00:07:56.189 --> 00:08:01.848 We can improve it and that's why we always say you only have a one brain state habit away.
