Apple

Diane

Apple

Malus domestica

Appearance: Apple trees grow to 40’ and have a twiggy growth habit. Apple trees have pointed oval leaves and flowers with five petals that start light pink and fade to white. Apple fruits average 2 - 4” in  diameter and may be green, red, or yellow.

When people in the Bible wrote about apples, they may have been writing about apricots, quinces, or oranges, as apples may not have existed in the Holy Land in Bible times. In any case, the fruit of these trees inspired many of the biblical writers.

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.
