Although our World has been in turmoil. I feel like our community has really grown closer. I feel like more people are Leaning on each other and helping each other, our community has just grown so much. There are new podcast for plastic surgeons. There are new YouTube pages completely dedicated to educating you. So I feel like For 2023, we did a really good job. And I wanna take the opportunity today to tell you, Thank you. I'm dating someone that I think is absolutely amazing. I mean, even every aspect of my life is going so well. My job, my I'm I'm just better. I don't know how to explain it. Everything is better. I'm a better mom. I'm a better employee. I'm a better daughter.

I'm just a better friend. I don't know what the hell The surgery does to people, but it just skyrockets everything. My clothes, my Appearance, my attitude. Just having the best time. Just living my best life. I'm traveling more. I'm just having the best time. And if it hadn't been for you, I don't even think I would've had the courage, the Strength or the especially the knowledge to go through this.

I mean, keep doing what you're doing. If you ever need a review, I'm here, girl. And I'll be the number 1 your number 1 fan, your number 1 advocate, Whatever you need. Like I said, I mean, it wasn't for you, and and your guidance, your expertise, your knowledge, I I would have never have Gone through this.

Mavi Rodriguez [00:04:33]:
So now that you've heard how amazing the transformation can be, I want you to take that and realize that that's a very real possibility for you whether you have surgery or not. What I've discovered is that the plastic surgery journey is so multifaceted. Even after you get your surgery and your results look great, There's still a lot of rebuilding to do. There's still a lot of self confidence to build because like for me, I had that tummy for a long time. My my daughter stretched my stomach out so bad, so bad. I had stretch marks up to my belly button. They were terrible. I hated it.

Mavi Rodriguez [00:05:18]:
I couldn't feel comfortable in my own skin. And after my tummy tuck, all of that was gone. This newfound confidence came out, and this new version of me came out. And in that new version of me, I've created this podcast. I created my product, Bruise Juice. I've launched companies to help You, through your plastic surgery journey, I partnered with companies to enhance your recovery journey. None of that would have been possible If I did not have the confidence in myself and to believe that I'm worth having all of it, and I want you To know that you're worthy. You are worth the investment.

Mavi Rodriguez [00:06:02]:
You're worth having Surgery. I know that a lot of the mom guilt and well, you know, it's so much money that I'm gonna spend. I could spend this on a kitchen. I could spend this sending my son or my daughter to college, which I'm not saying spend your kid's college fund. Okay? Let's be responsible. But For my moms who have been giving all of themselves for their families for years, It's time to reclaim you. It's time to reinvest in you. You invest your time, Your effort, your energy into everybody around you, and that's okay.

Mavi Rodriguez [00:06:42]:
That's what we do as women, as moms. But now It's time for you to do that for yourself. I wanna give all of my girls this tip. While you're on your plastic surgery journey, you're gonna encounter moments where you're gonna feel kind of helpless During the recovery, maybe post op day 1, maybe post op day 2, maybe post op day 3 once the anesthesia starts to wear off. You're gonna find yourself in a situation where you're gonna be like, wow. I can't get out of my chair. I need help. Or I can't get out of the bed.

Mavi Rodriguez [00:07:12]:
I need help. Or I can't go to the bathroom by myself. And those are the moments where we're like, oh, crap. What did I do? Just know it's normal. It's totally normal. All of those feelings that you're feeling, We've all experienced them. So throw the mom guilt out the window. And in 2024, if you're thinking about having surgery, if planning to have surgery if you're like, I don't know.

Mavi Rodriguez [00:07:41]:
I'm on the line. I'm on the boat. I kinda wanna go. I don't know if I should jump off. 1st, do your research. Really figure out what kind of surgery you're looking for, what look you wanna have, And start searching for your surgeon. Don't forget to read the Google reviews. Don't forget to look for the real self.

Mavi Rodriguez [00:08:01]:
Although I just told y'all that they can delete Reviews, bad reviews off of RealSelf. So that's why a lot of a lot of surgeons out there Have amazing reviews on RealSelf. No negative reviews. But they have terrible reviews on Google. So Go read the Google reviews. I wanna share this passage from this book that I'm reading. You guys know I'm still I'm working on myself. I'm trying my best to be a better person, to be to become the best version of myself.

Mavi Rodriguez [00:08:32]:
So I'm I've been reading this book called The Inner Work, And I wanna read this passage to you because one of the things that I've asked often and, like, it's mentioned to me quite often is How you lose friends doing during your plastic surgery journey. It's not uncommon. A lot of my girls struggle with this. They have Friends, sister in laws, coworkers who are now all of a sudden the experts, and They know everything, and you shouldn't be doing what you're doing, and you should just love yourself and lots of you know, Not what we wanna hear. Not what we're trying to hear from the people around us. So I wanna read this excerpt this passage to you from this book because it made me think of the people who start hating on you during your journey instead of being supportive if you're if they're seeing you happier, if They're seeing you more confident, and that triggers them. Listen to this. The most important realization of the inner work is that the source of our dissatisfaction is the mind's internal dialogue, not the subject of its complaints.

Mavi Rodriguez [00:09:46]:
Change is terrifying to the untamed mind. Even when exposed to true happiness through witnessing it in others, It will reject it outright through denial or projection. Most minds are actually very suspicious of someone Emulating genuine innocence, unconditional love, and inner peace. Seeing someone else shite their light unapologetically Can really trigger an insecure mind. So what I think is these people are being triggered by Our ability to say, I'm worth it. I deserve this. I can have it. I can afford it.

Mavi Rodriguez [00:10:28]:
I can do it. And a lot of people can't say that. And when they can't say that and somebody near them, like a friend or a sister-in-law or a coworker, does say that and can say that. They get triggered, and a lot of hate comes out. A lot of too faced 2 faced situations arise, and I just want you to be prepared. It's okay. If they're not for you, if they're not happy for you, if they wanna tear you down, They're not your people. Bye.

See you later. If it's family, maybe you can tell them. I really appreciate Your concern for me? Let me read y'all what I have in my becoming the woman of her dreams guide that I give to my 1 on 1 clients. I have a dealing with criticism passage. The plastic surgery journey is a roller coaster, and you will need as much support as possible. You should surround yourself with positive people and positive energy during this time. Most of the time, friends and families' Harsh comments come from a place of concern about the surgery and concern for you. I have a line that you can use when anyone is giving you a hard time.

It is very kind of you to worry about me. There is no doubt in my mind that you are coming from a place of love. Surgery is not an easy decision. And believe me, I have given it a lot of thought. I am doing this to restore my body, and I will do everything in my power to keep myself safe during surgery. As I embark on this exciting journey, I would really appreciate your support. The fulfillment that that gives me? That's my jam. And in the 2024 year, I really wanna take care of my international audience. So if you're listening from Canada, If you're listening from Australia, send me your favorite surgeons and see if we can get them on the show. I'm looking for international surgeons from Australia, although I do have some in mind. Canada, although They're a little bit more on the expensive side, but I still wanna bring them on and introduce them to you guys because I know that not everybody wants to travel for surgery. You wanna find surgeons that are near you. The only thing about Canada is that a lot of my 1 on 1 clients who come from Canada, You guys, Canada, my number one. I love you all over there.

My girls who come from Canada, they're looking for a certain look. Curvy. Right? And for some reason, in Canada, they're not just they're not delivering that. They're not delivering the curves. It's a lot more like straight square look. I understand that there's a lot of limitations, And I think that's why my Canadians really love coming to the US or when we go to Mexico to find The right surgeons for the looks that they want, which is curve a licious curve a licious that y'all remember that song? I guess I'm showing my age. I'm just recapping 2023. I wanna tell you guys that the show has grown so much.
