The number 40 symbolizes a period of testing, trial or probation. We all experience trying times in our lives, but it is what comes from these times that make us who we are. Shortly after Allysa Seely found her love for triathlons, she faced an unfortunate diagnosis that lead to her left leg being amputated below the knee in 2013.
