for that. I just can't wait to talk to you about today's subject. Yes. The topic of today's podcast episode is going to be very interesting to you. And I'm sure you're going to get great value out of it. So, Liz, here's a question. Have you ever wondered about what apps are good to use as an English learner, or as an A Kiowa student? Well, today, I'm going to go over the top five apps that I think will be the best ones you should install on your smartphone to help you increase your English language skills. Okay, that's what we're going to be talking about today on the social English podcast. If you're new to the social English podcast, hi, I'd like to say welcome. Thanks for joining us today. So you can find us pretty much everywhere. But today, let's talk about the topic. The five apps, I think everyone learning English, or a car with students should have on their smartphones. Now, everyone has many apps on their phones, some of these apps you may already have. So you can look at this as a pretty much guarantee that you chose the right apps to put on your smartphone. Some of these apps, maybe you've never heard of them before. But I am certain that they will help you in your journey to English mastery. special note, a few of the apps here that I mentioned, are affiliate links. No, that is not at all. These are apps that I even use myself. And I know that they will be of great assistance to you, because they are just well worth it. So let's start the episode right away and talk about our first app. The first app app number one I want to recommend to you today is Google Drive. Now, you may be saying, well, I already have Google, or I have a Google phone or I know about Google. Let me tell you something. Even having Google, sometimes you don't have Google Drive. The reason why I recommend Google Drive, it's a quick, easy way to find all of the documents that you may be writing for English lessons, or English classes in one space, one place, easy to find. Also, I wanted to recommend Google Drive because it is a great start off point to add other apps to your Google Drive space. So what I mean by that is not apps but documents you can add on documents are things you want to save, maybe pictures of of certain things that you may have captured on your screenshot, but you can add those to your Google Drive. And it's a free resource for you to use. So the first app I recommend is Google Drive. Now the second apps, the second app, app number two that I recommend is also a Google product. It's Google Docs. I recommend Google Docs, because Google Docs is a one stop place for you to find a way to create new documents that are automatically saved for you on your English journey. You can write notes about English, English lessons or English homework on the Google Docs app, and you can easily find those documents in your Google Drive. Another great thing about Google Docs is you can take that document that you wrote for a class, and you can export it into different formats, you can make it a word, a Microsoft Word format, you can make it a text document, you can also make it a PDF document, if that's what you want to do. So the app, Google Docs has much flexibility. And you can create many, many different documents while you are studying and learning English. Taking your short quick notes at a glance and an easy way to see what notes you took on different English words and what they mean. And you can also translate them into Japanese for almost like quick flashcards that you could use at any time that you can pull up. This is the Google Keep app. And it is highly recommended. As a matter of fact, I use Google Keep on a daily basis. And it is the most awesome app to take short term notes, really shorthand notes, and quick ways to look at things that you think about. And you just want to write them really quickly, and save them so that you can look at them later. Are you watching a American show on Netflix? But you don't know what a word or a phrase means? Well, write that phrase in a Google Keep. And then you can look it up later. Do you have coffee, or chat with other people that speak English? If they say something that you don't understand, you can write it as a note in Google Keep, and you can look it up later. This is why I recommend Google Keep and I think is a very valuable tool for you to use on your journey to learning proper spoken English. Okay. Okay, let's move on to the next recommended app. This app is called Grammarly. Grammarly is an app that you can use to help you write really clear English, languages language so you can write your sentences clearly and your sentences will have the correct structure. Because Grammarly will show you errors, or where they suggest you change the phrasing or words that you are using in certain sentences. This can be helpful for the Japanese learners of English as you are trying to put together and write new sentences. It can also show you words that you have spelled improperly and recommend changes to those words. I personally use Grammarly all the time when I write and I am a native English speaker from America. So that should tell you that this is a very valuable app. This app you can install on your PC as well as you can install this app on your smartphone. So when you are trying to type a message on your phone, you can have Grammarly help you correct and make the English on your written messages come out the correct way.
