Show Notes

This week we talk to Dr. Edward Smink was a caregiver for over forty years as a registered nurse, chaplain, pastoral counselor, and executive leader. As a survivor of PTSD, compassion fatigue, and burnout, Ed’s choices to move forward and seek opportunities for growth, have ultimately led to his greatest work.

More than a book, The Soul of Caregiving is a philosophy that shows how reflection itself can prove to be an extraordinary source of power. Insights gained from reflection strengthen one's confidence and develop a practice of self-care, a key to resilience.
