Here in the US, it’s safe to say we’re quick to jump to anesthesia, topical anesthetics, and prescribe other medications just to keep our nerves happy and pain-free. But, all that being said, it can be easy for Americans to forget that patients outside of our 1st world bubble are not always as medicated and comfortable as we are.
