Here in the US, it’s safe to say we’re quick to jump to anesthesia, topical anesthetics, and prescribe other medications just to keep our nerves happy and pain-free. But, all that being said, it can be easy for Americans to forget that patients outside of our 1st world bubble are not always as medicated and comfortable as we are. Please join me in interviewing Dr. Karen Asher regarding her experiences both as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, and working internationally in Sierra Leone.
