In episode #62, we learned from Dr. Wai‘ale‘ale Sarsona about Kamehameha Schools (KS) Kaiāulu, a new way for KS to engage with keiki and ʻohana in the Kaiāulu (community) alongside their community partners. Dr. Sarsona joined Kamehameha Schools in 2012 and has held several leadership positions there. She is currently the Vice President of Kamehameha Schools' Hi‘ialo Group, which she talks about in this episode. Before being named Hi‘ialo Group VP, she served as managing director of KS’ Kūamahi Community Education Division and interim VP of Strategic Planning Implementation and Community Education.
In the latter part of the episode, Dr. Sarsona discusses E Ola!, a set of enterprise-wide learner outcomes grounded in kuanaʻike Hawaiʻi (Native Hawaiian perspectives) and transferable life and career skills.
