Episode #70: Kokua for Maui with Sylvia Luke
In this episode, we sat down with a few special guests to talk about Kokua for Maui, the initiative aimed at supporting Maui businesses impacted by the wildfires. First, Lieutenant Governor Sylvia Luke joined us to talk about the initiative and how it came to life. Although Kokua for Maui was launched in the month of November, she explains why it's more timely than ever with Christmas around the corner.
Later, we talked to Sne Patel, President of the LahainaTown Action Committee and Katie Wilson, Owner of West Maui Sports and Fishing Supply. They discussed some of the struggles Maui businesses are still facing and what support they still need. Katie also explains why Kokua for Maui has been such a bright light for her and other Maui businesses.
