Join Jeff Carter as he leads us in week one of our Forged by Fire series. Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. When trials hit and the cost becomes real, what are we left with? Our faith gets revealed in the fire. James 1 calls us to "count it all joy" when we face trials - not because we pretend everything's fine, but because we have a settled confidence that God is at work. These tests aren't random suffering. They're purposeful refinements that forge Christ-likeness in us, building spiritual maturity we can't develop any other way. The invitation isn't to conquer every trial perfectly - it's simply to remain steadfast. To stand unwavering in the hardship. To let God's work have its full effect so we may be "mature and complete, lacking in nothing." Your trial isn't just about you. The way you stand through suffering shows others who God really is and what He's capable of carrying us through. What if we changed our posture from "woe is me" to "here I am, Lord" - even when everything is falling apart?
