This week we are joined by Ps Christie Blaikie, Senior Paster of Oasis Church and the ACC WA President. Ps Christie poses the question, have you ever been so caught up in the chaos of everyday life that you lost sight of what truly matters? In Revelation 4, John is invited by Jesus to "come up here" - to step above the noise of earth and behold the throne of God. That perspective changes everything. The seven churches in Revelation 2 and 3 were not discipled by bad intentions - they were simply discipled by the wrong things. Comfort, reputation, compromise, and wealth had quietly replaced their devotion to God. Sound familiar? We do not drift in a day, but we do drift. Here is the truth: heaven is not anxious. God is not pacing nervously. He is seated on the throne, composed and victorious. If our King is not panicking, why are we? Real discipleship begins with prolonged exposure to beholding God (2 Corinthians 3:18). When we see Him clearly, everything else gets reordered. Come up here. Get a different perspective. The throne changes everything.
