Bruce:

this is the ugly quacking duck podcast coming to you from our midwest studio, southern illinois, mount vernon.

Bruce:

Yes, we are in mount vernon, or on the edge of mount vernon all right, yes, we are on the edge of mount vernon, our studio is there, located in our home, and we are just uh now recording the new episode 121 and, uh, it is labor day weekend. Actually, it's the end of Labor Day. We're recording afternoon. It's around 2 o'clock this afternoon and it's a beautiful day outside has been all week. We've been blessed with another good week, I'll tell you, it's great.

Sunny:

Yeah, we are having a blast Blast.

Bruce:

What was that about, Sunny?

Sunny:

I just had a blast and I'm Sunny from the Ugly Quacking Duck.

Bruce:

And I'm Bruce, just in case this is the first time you've tuned in. We are with the Ugly Quacking duck podcast and we are just crazy hey, speak for yourself. I was born sane and how do you know? Somebody tell you uh no well then, it's up for judgment and I judge, judge nothing, not going to do it.

Sunny:

Well, ain't you a nice person today?

Bruce:

No.

Sunny:

Is that what I think it is, bruce, are you drinking hot chocolate on this warm?

Bruce:

day I am, and it's a beautiful day, and it's almost fall and it's September the 1st and I just felt like a cup of hot chocolate to kind of honor this day, and if you don't like it you can go get you a drink of water, I don't care.

Sunny:

Well, I didn't say I didn't like it. I was just wondering what you was drinking.

Bruce:

There you have it. I'm drinking a cup of hot chocolate, cooked or fixed or made. However, you want to say that in my own kitchen, by my own hands, I even used real milk. And speaking of drinks, did you know? Starbucks pumpkin spice latte has returned. I don't know how many Starbucks people are out there, but go get your pumpkin spice latte, because I read that online that it had come back.

Sunny:

And I want to just tell everybody this is not a commercial for Starbucks or anybody else.

Bruce:

Touche there, Sunny, that is true.

Sunny:

Hey Bruce.

Bruce:

Yeah, Sunny.

Sunny:

I see you're using a pencil. You know why you should never use a dull pencil.

Bruce:

Because it won't write.

Sunny:

No, silly, uh, because it won't write.

Bruce:

no silly it's because it doesn't have a point, so it's pointless. Okay, so a joke right off the bat. Boy, I hope you don't get any more of those.

Sunny:

Well, I think the audience will like it and our community will like it. So there, All right.

Bruce:

Well, let's just talk a little bit about the episode, shall we? It is August, I mean, it is the end of August, the beginning of September, september, the 1st Labor Day of september, september, the first labor day, and just to highlight some of the things that august did for us, or at least one, it come to my mind I in Louisiana back in 2005, and it was the costliest in US history and it was one of the deadliest hurricanes. It actually took in mississippi, alabama, florida and louisiana, and I don't know if anybody's old enough to remember that. I remember it. Uh, it was only back in 2005, so surely most of our listeners remember it and it was devastating and I just thought that was worth remembering and all the suffering that went along with it. Now there's more hurricanes, there's more fires and earthquakes, but I just wanted to bring that back up to our memory hey, bruce, when you talking to Capella earlier today, yes, I was, can't get by with nothing.

Sunny:

Well, I was in the room, remember yeah.

Bruce:

I remember I was just giving you a hard time. Yes, I did. I talked to him a little. I don't know if you call it Capella or Gemini or just regular AI, but the voice I was using was Capella, I think that's how you say it C-A-P-E-L-L-A, and it has some kind of British or Australian accent which I think sounds pretty cool. And you know, I brought the subject up of sci-fi and the large collider and I asked a couple questions so I recorded the answers. I'll let you hear it. Hang on just one moment. Let me bring it up.

Capella:

There's a theory that the LHC could create tiny black holes and in some sci-fi stories these black holes could act as portals to other times or dimensions. Or there's the idea that the LHC could generate particles that travel faster than light, which could theoretically allow for time travel. What do you think of those possibilities?

Bruce:

Well, there is a big sci-fi conspiracy going around right now on a lot of the social media and they're describing the timeline that we're living on has been changed and there's been a bunch of theories on what the change is. There's been a bunch of theories on what the change is, but I want to hear is there any kind of scientific evidence that would kind of prove that to be so? It may be a stretch, but is there anything?

Capella:

Yes, it is definitely a stretch. The LHC operates under the known laws of physics, and those laws do not allow for time travel or changes to the past. The conspiracy theories are fun to think about, but they don't hold up to scientific scrutiny.

Bruce:

So it's your belief? We're not living in a different timeline.

Capella:

That's right. Based on our current understanding of physics, there's no evidence to support the idea that the Large Hadron Collider has caused us to shift into a different timeline. It's a fascinating concept, but it remains firmly in the realm of science fiction.

Bruce:

Well, I just so happen to love science fiction, because it's fiction and with the world as crazy as it is, it's nice to have something other than the craziness to accept and believe in.

Capella:

I completely agree. Science fiction can be a wonderful escape and it often allows us to explore fascinating what-if scenarios. It's a great way to spark our imaginations and think about the world in new and exciting ways. Do you have any favorite science fiction books or movies?

Bruce:

There you go. That was my recording from earlier today. I was rather well pleased with how that went. I kept it short so it wouldn't end up like last time I was using gemini and it just freaked out on me after about 15 minutes. But the main thing I was after to see if it would come up with any series of its own. When I asked about the LHC and the timeline Now notice it didn't say that was not possible. It just said that under the rules of the science and the studies that we have going on right now, that would not happen. Didn't say it was impossible. Didn't say there's other rules that could be manipulated to make that happen, and I didn't delve into that. I didn't want to spend my whole recording talking to the AI. I just wanted to have a little bit of extra fun with the ai today you're not going to make out your girlfriend like that one dude did, are you?

Bruce:

no, I don't believe I need that well, I'm glad to hear that that kind of scares everybody well, no, I'm just using it for a play toy right now and I'm burning up my electricity. See, I'm paying extra money in this state for the electricity which is known to be going to those data centers to help these ai. So I'm paying for that, so I'm going to use it. However, I would like to say I love sci-fi. It gives you a break from reality. But if you rely on things like that whether it's sci-fi or gambling, drugs, tv movies, alcohol, any of that kind of stuff to break from the monotony of today's world, then it's all going to end up taking you down a bad road. What you need to be relying on is the truth of the Father, the Creator. Some people call Him the Source, but you need to be relying on that, and then everything else kind of comes into view a little bit different. I can enjoy sci-fi and not let it enable me to to not I don't know how I'm trying to say this I don't live for it, I just enjoy it. Does that make sense? There you go, and uh, that's the way it should be with all the other avenues that people choose, no matter what it is. It should not be the only avenue that we have. It should be. Just anyway, rely on the Father. That's what I'm trying to say.

Bruce:

It is getting close to some really, really bad times in this world, not just for Americans, not just for any other people in this world, not just for americans, not just for any other people in this world. It's getting for the whole world. We're going to start seeing a lot more and more and more um stuff that we don't even want to talk about and the only only course of action is the Father. Now, if this is bothering you, me talking about it, I'm sorry there's an off button on your player, but hear me out. We are coming to a point in time that has been told of for generations and centuries prior to now, and it's been foretold that people would even say that it's been foretold, and where is it at? They would be mocking this time, and that's what we're seeing.

Bruce:

We're seeing a lot of Bible prophecy happen and people are just making fun of it, calling people's conspiracies nuts, and they're not realizing that that bible talked about a future to warn us, to get us ready, to help us prepare, not to see us suffer through that.

Bruce:

It is a plan for us all to survive it, but we're not going to if we're not relying on the Father, and the reason that we can be part of that father's plan, and that was through Yahushua, his son, the chosen one, as he called himself the son of man. And I'm going to stop there. I don't want to run everybody off, but I want you to just think about the news and what all you've been seeing the earthquakes, the crazy weather, and, yeah, some of it may be man-made, I totally agree with that, but in the Bible it does not say that it wasn't. There is a difference between the actions and the results that we're seeing now, that is described in prophecy and the part where the Father takes His vengeance on sin and His wrath comes down on the world. That's two different descriptions. And what we're seeing right now may be man-made, but it does not neglect or however you say that the fact that it was already foretold.

Bruce:

I guess what I'm trying to say is prepare, get prepared oh, prepare like, store a bunch of food, ammo, stuff like that well, you know that kind of preparation is not a bad idea, but you cannot prepare for everything that could happen and like say, let's say, the banks go down, the power goes out, that kind of stuff is going to affect you and there's there's not a whole lot you can do for very long term, but that's not the preparation I'm talking about there. I've told people before there's going to come a time, or could come a time, when our physical reality will not protect us any longer, that we will need something other than that and the only thing we will be able to rely on is the power of the father. When you have to rely on that or him and you have never done it before, then you may not have it to rely on. That's what I'm trying to say Prepare, practice, prepare, practice, prepare. Okay, that's enough of that.

Sunny:

Yep, yep, you're going to drive all our listeners away.

Bruce:

No, we've got some really good people in our community and I hope they stick around and I hope we pick up new ones. But we won't rely keep talking about that any any longer. We're going to go shift gears. It was the end of august yesterday, so you know what that means. That means we need to do the earthquake report and do the end of month earthquake report oh yeah, how's that different? It's really not. I just got one more number to add to it hey, bruce yes, honey you talking about the beautiful weather we've been having.

Sunny:

Can I do the weather report?

Bruce:

yes, I'd be happy to let you do that.

Sunny:

Awesome, yeah, I like doing that. Okay, so we were talking about our local weather. Your weather may be different, but we like to talk about our weather to kind of give you an idea of what's going on. So, as Bruce said, it's been wonderful around here. It still gets up in the 80s, but the humidity's been really low. There's been a nice steady breeze. Now it's not raining much and the ground is getting pretty dry. In fact, the grass is brown. It kind of crunches when I walk on it, but anyhow, it is 84 degrees right now on this Monday afternoon. The wind is 7 miles an hour, it's at 32% humidity and the air quality is 31.

Bruce:

All right, good job there. Hey, tell them about Phoenix Arizona.

Sunny:

Oh yeah, we're going to talk about Phoenix, arizona. Yay, and Bruce likes to do that to compare our local weather with another place. Now, if you have some idea that you want to hear your weather, that'd be great. Just email us at theuglyquackingduck at gmailcom. Yep, that's right, the ugly quacking duck? No, hello, bruce, I'm doing your thing now.

Bruce:

Yeah, I always do that too. I get on a roll and no, it's theuglyquackingduck at gmailcom. Email us and tell us what you think.

Sunny:

All right, thanks for saving me, bruce, but Phoenix Arizona, right now it is 103 degrees, woo 103. That is a cooking day, man, and the humidity is only 21%. They have a five mile an hour wind and the air quality is 37. It's a little bit worse than it is here, bruce.

Bruce:

Yep, that's right, and it's probably worse because you know it's a desert. They probably have a lot of dust blowing up, um, all kinds of stuff like that, but still, 37 is good. But there you go, guys. Um, I think the high over there in phoenix was 106 and the high here was 85. So that's the weather here locally and at phoenix, arizona. I hope you enjoyed our weather report.

Bruce:

Not sure that our way of reporting this is going to work out. If you're tracking it, if you're going to our webpage and downloading the PDF sheet so you can write on it the totals that I report, and then you go back and see the other months, or the other years, I should say, and you have a physical report there. That may work out. We'll just have to see over time. But right now we're going to do this month, which is beginning on september, the first going back seven days. The all magnitude count is 1895, which comes to 19 percent of 10 000. That's what I use as a total. And then the 2.5 count is 273, which is a 14.4% of the 1895. And the 4.5 count is 106, which is 506% of the 1895. And there was two 6.0 and over earthquakes. That's what I report on One of them. The first one was in Afghanistan and the other one was in Russia, and that one was on that peninsula. That's been hammered over and, over and over again, and they had that big one here a while back. So we have two out of the 106, which gives us 1.9%. Now I'm not going to read the 2019 numbers or the 2018 numbers because I don't want to take all that time up and bore you to death, but if you're interested, I will post the reports on the web page, as I've been doing the past. I do want to cover the 30-day report, though I only do that once a month and this is the end of august, beginning of september, so I want to do it now.

Bruce:

There was a for the all magnitude. The number is 9847, so 10,000 is what I used at top for the all magnitude reports, monthly or weekly, I should say my seven-day report. So it's almost hitting that for this month. And the 4.5 and over the count was 668. So that gives us a 6.8% of the 9,847.

Bruce:

Now, since I've got you on here and this is short, I'll go ahead and read the all 30-day report for 2019. I went back and looked it up. For 2019, the all magnitude report was 19 360 for the same time frame that I just reported for 2025, on August and September, and the 4.5 and over was 501. So that figures a 2.6% of the 19,000. And then on 2018, the oil magnitude was 16,682. And then the 4.5 and over was 803, which gave us a count of 4.8% of the 16,000. And that's our 30-day report and our 7-day report. And if you look at the numbers for last month on 2018, our last 7-day report, let me rephrase that I told you there was 12 six-and-over earthquakes for 2018, and now there's only four, which brings the percentage back down to 2.1%, which is about normal. What they've been running 2% to 3%.

Bruce:

But what I wanted to point out is 2019 is what? Seven days back from 2025 I'm sorry, it's actually six years uh, 2018 was seven years. So when I started this, I went back and I looked at the seven years from 2025, and I thought, boy, that's a lot higher. So, yeah, it's a lot higher In 2019, which is six years. So next year that would be 2026, and it's been fluctuating. Sometimes it's higher and sometimes it's been fluctuating. Sometimes it's a higher and sometimes it's not. And my thinking is 20. If the seven day calculation continues to do in the seven year, then 2026 ought to be a really bad year. We won't know until we get there. But that's my earthquake report for this week and I hope you got something out of it.

Sunny:

I did. I got bored, I fell asleep. Did you hear me snoring?

Bruce:

Oh, you did not, you big telltale.

Sunny:

Oh, big deal. Yeah, I got something out of it. I don't know what you'd call it, though.

Bruce:

Oh well, that's our report for the earthquakes. We gave you our weather here locally, so I hope you are in tune and I hope you enjoyed our little conversation with the gemini ai this morning. I happen to get that on recording, so I like that. I like playing that thing. Um, I wouldn't rely on it at all, but I may try to intrigue it. To do more sci-fi with us, maybe we can get some more stories out of it. To do more sci-fi with us, maybe we can get some more stories out of it.

Sunny:

What do you think there, Sunny?

Bruce:

I think you're crazy, but I like it. Okay, I like it, he says, and I do too. So, anywho, how about one more joke, Sunny?

Sunny:

Okay, that sounds good, but tell us, Bruce, I know you looked up a story, A short story maybe.

Bruce:

I did. I actually looked up a short little bitty story and the question starts with why cartoon characters wear gloves. So if you've ever, I didn't really notice that before until I read the article, but cartoon characters actually wore gloves. Every one of them you look at pretty well, had a pair of gloves on, especially the Disney cartoons. And the reason why I'll bet you can guess, if you can, and I'm going to read them all. There were three key reasons. The first one was the smooth, round shape. It saved the cartoonist time while he did the drawing. So they drew a lot. It took a lot of time time, so that saved a little bit of time. And the next reason is the white gloves helped contrast the black bodies of the characters. That was when the tv was black and white. They needed that contrast. And then the other was it enabled the characters, which were typically animals, to appear more human-like. So there you go. What do you think about that sunny?

Bruce:

wow, I didn't know that either well, there you go, people of, uh, the world. That's why the cartoon characters have gloves. Not sure that was appropriate response for that. But hey, there you go oh, I thought they were really good okay, well, yeah, okay well.

Bruce:

They were good, and I think we have come to the end of this episode. I hope you all, whenever you listen to this, remember Labor Day weekend, and I hope you had fun during that time. I pray that you will have a good week this coming week. The Father's love will be with you always, and when the trials start which they probably already have, if any of you are like me life is getting tougher, more expensive. There's more things happening. People are getting sick around you. You may be losing family members and friends. It's getting to be a big trial. It always has been, but it just seems like it's getting harder. Don't give up. That's the whole point.

Bruce:

If you enjoy the show, come back, share it with somebody, pray for us. That would help tremendously. If you have any creativity to you, you you'd like to help out, we could help out with a cartoon. You know artwork ideas to present. If you'd like to help us financially because there is a huge cost to doing all this, we would sure enjoy that too. However, you want to be with us. Just be with us. That's the secret. So until next week, we're going to say good evening, goodbye and howdy.

Bruce:

What do you mean, howdy? I don't know. I just felt like saying howdy at the end okay, howdy all right, there you go. All right, let's say bye, Sunny, you ready, I am all right. Three, two, one bye. Thank you guys for coming, see, come and hear us being with us. Whatever be here next week, we'll see you later. Bye 73. May the father's love be with you.
