Welcome And Easter Catch Up
BruceThey got it off the ground.
CapellaWelcome to the ugly quacking duck. We like to joke that we're the worst podcast in the unknown universe, but we're pretty sure that's just our charm. We're here to offer a different perspective on the things you see every day, moving away from the usual noise to bring a little more light, perspective, and an uplifting spirit into your routine. Life is plenty heavy as it is, so we're just here to help you find a reason to smile. Thanks for stopping by.
BruceYes, indeed, brothers and sisters and friends. Thank you for tuning in to the Ugly Quacking Duck Podcast. I'm Bruce.
SunnyAnd I'm Sunny, thank you guys.
BruceYes, we do appreciate you tuning in. We hope you stay for the whole episode. You are listening to episode 143. It has been recorded on Friday, the 10th of April, 2026. So here we go.
SunnyHere we go.
BruceWell, Sunny, what have you been up to this week?
SunnyWell, about the same as always. I'm just been playing around, running around, chasing the cats, playing, you know, having fun.
BruceAlright, well, that's about the same as me. I haven't been doing much at all either. Uh let me turn this thing down. It's hitting pretty hard. Is that better?
SunnyI think it's better. I don't see the uh nope, it's better.
BruceAlright. I just seem to be hitting kind of hard today for some reason. The audio, I haven't messed with anything, but you know how that goes. Alright, yeah. We have uh been absent for a little bit longer than normal. Hope everybody had a great Easter. Uh it was a pretty good Easter here. Uh we enjoyed being with the family and couldn't get with all of 'em, but we was able to get with a few.
SunnyYeah, I hear you played a lot of fun games.
BruceWell, I didn't. I actually took a nap on the couch.
SunnyOh, you old man.
BruceWell, yeah, I kind of got uh got my belly full and then uh t sat down and that was it, man. It was over. I was tired and I hadn't slept good the night before, so I took a not a very long nap, just a quick one. And then, you know, I got to come home, but I didn't have to um be up and early as I normally do after a holiday. I could sleep in Monday morning because I didn't have to be work till later. So I enjoyed it.
SunnySo what you're saying is the holiday Easter weekend was a great weekend.
BruceYeah, it turned out pretty good and I enjoyed it. Uh now I don't know how you uh believe in Easter, you know that there was an Easter celebration, which is separate. There was the uh Passover and then the Lord's resurrection. All three grouped together. Uh we celebrate a lot of those the same time, which we probably shouldn't. We should separate it because there is a definite difference.
SunnyAre we gonna go into the differences and what it really means?
BruceProbably not. I don't want to bore everybody death. They probably heard it if they've been on any of the social media accounts, uh programs, apps, whatever you want to call 'em, they've probably heard it, seen it. They watched any TV specials, it's probably called it out, so it's up to them what they do with that information.
SunnyOkay. We're just leaving it up to them. Really?
BruceYeah, really? Does that surprise you?
SunnyA little bit.
BruceWell, okay. Well that's what we're gonna do.
SunnyI noticed, Bruce, that you got another piece of equipment. Looks like a battery in a big box.
BruceOh, yeah, I did. That's out there in the garage by my uh radio that I set up out there in my old studio. Yes, I uh ordered a battery, uh Life Pro or Life Po 4, which is a longer uh lasting battery compared to a car battery or something. My plans are to hook that up to the radio, get away from the wall outlet, and uh, you know, get a little bit of uh less noise coming in through the the wall plug, uh hopefully, and just have it independent from all that other stuff.
SunnyOh, so you're playing with the battery on the radio, is that correct?
BruceYep. Yeah, that's just what it is, and I haven't got all the components yet to hook everything up the way I want it, so it's just sitting there.
SunnyAlright, well we'll talk about it, see how it works when you get it all hooked up. How long is it supposed to last?
BruceWell, I'm asked uh estimating if I just listen, which that's mostly what I do out there, I listen, it's going to be probably 24 hours or longer just monitoring on the radio. But if I transmit, if I do a solid transmission style, sort of like you know, a contest or uh a lot of people go out to the parks and transmit for the from there, you're looking probably 68, six to eight hours of transmission, not solid, because you're gonna break it up, but that's what we're looking at, maybe more with that um power of a battery. We'll have to see.
SunnyWell, I want to report on that, and our listeners will want that too.
New Way To Send Voicemail
BruceWell, I'm not sure that's true. I'm not sure they're gonna like that, uh, but we will report on it. All right, yay. Well, let's talk a little bit about the update that uh our hosting platform, Buzzsprout, who hosts this episode or not just this episode, this podcast. They are uh updated our text ability. And what that means, if you went in and looked at our podcast uh details, it always has a link right at the beginning, says you can uh click on that, you know, or I've changed it to just says leave us a fan mail, and you click on it, it takes you to another page. You could always type in a message that went straight to us. Pretty cool, hey?
SunnyYeah, it is. Um, how many times you got anything done?
BruceUh you mean how many times I got a text? Uh I think four or five.
SunnyOh, more than I thought. Okay, I'll leave you alone.
BruceYou want to pick on me, wasn't you? Oh yeah. Okay. Well, yeah, let's don't go there. Anyway, they have updated that text that click, that link, and when you l click on it, it automatically takes you to the same page. However, they have given you two choices now. Uh you can either text us just like normal, or you can click on the button below that and it says leave a voicemail. Did you hear that? Leave a voicemail. Yes, that's right.
SunnyA voicemail? You mean like a recording?
BruceYes, but it's real simple. You just click on it, and uh it gives you asks you to give your microphone authorization to them. In other words, you allow your mic to be used. You record it, and once you get it recorded, you hit play and listen to it. If it is to your liking, then you just hit save and it will send it to us. Yeah. It don't have to go through an email, it goes through their system, we hear it, we get a notification, we hear it, we play it, and then we can actually uh answer you back and see if you want you know to us to play it or answer another question, whatever. And it leaves it up to you if you don't want to contact us anymore, it's done. But anyway, it's a great idea. It's a lot simpler than what I was using on my webpage, which is still on there, by the way, but it's simpler, and everybody's using their phones nowadays, so they got a mic already ready.
SunnyWell, that is pretty cool, and I'm gonna tell everybody if you want to contact us, please do. You can use that, and it'll come right to us. Please go to our webpage, the uglycracking duck dot com, and you can check out our history and stuff there. If you'd like to see more, let us know. There you go.
BruceAll right, thank you for that, Sunny. Yeah, I appreciate that.
SunnyWell, I'll have you know that I was so excited about that update that I used it.
BruceYou used it? Well, I didn't get any uh information where you used it for our webpage or our podcast.
SunnyWell, dummy, I didn't use you and our podcast. What I did was I you know, Buzz Sprout has a podcast. It's called Buzz Cast. And we listen to it every week, so I they're always asking for input, right? Right. Alright, so I did that. I contacted them, left a voicemail, and it was cool.
BruceWell, howdy oh, that's pretty neat. I I didn't know you did that. That's who you was talking to on the phone the other day when I walked in.
SunnyYeah, you caught me, but I wasn't gonna tell ya until the podcast. That way I could get it recorded and see what you said. Catch ya.
BruceWell, I don't mind. You'd want me to get mad, wouldn't you?
SunnyYeah.
BruceWell, bleh. That was a really bad comeback.
SunnyOh well, I did it anyway.
BruceYeah, you did. You did a good job though. I'm glad you used it and we'll hopefully hear from them. They got a recording coming out today. So maybe it'll be on there according how soon they recorded that because if they recorded it before when what what day was that? Wednesday? I believe it was. Alright, if they recorded it on Wednesday or before, it will probably include that, but if they did it afterwards, we probably won't hear it until next week.
SunnyWhat's a bummer?
BruceYeah, it's hard to tell. But you proved that it's easy, didn't you?
SunnyYeah, it was easy. I um worked it real well, real simple. I think everybody'll find it very useful.
BruceWell, good. That's good to know. I'm glad did you hear that, folks? You can hit a button or hit a link on your phone, go over to the voicemail button, leave a voicemail, send it, it's all done. It's real simple. So you have no excuse now for letting us know what you think about the microphone or about the comments we make or about any other weirdness that we present to you. What do you think about that, folks?
SunnyThat the only better thing ever will be when we go live again.
BruceYeah, that's live works really good because you can get comments. Now they have to type them in, but you can get comments right then. But that's all right. We need a little bit of relaxation in between. We got other projects, we've got another job, so you know, uh, it don't need to be right then. We don't need to be hurrying it that much.
SunnyI agree. Everybody wants right then, right then, but let's don't do that.
Gaming Tangent Then Artemis II
BruceLet's go ah You got the picture. There you go. So, Sunny, what do you think about Eve Online? You've been playing it with me uh for the last couple weeks.
SunnyI kind of enjoy it. I I like being your runner.
BruceYeah, my cargo holder or hole hauler, I'm sorry. Cargo hauler. Yeah, that pro that job's pretty important because I can sit there and mine on the ice and just throw it out the door and you can come by and pick it up and take it and sell it, which is very helpful. I I like having you as a partner.
SunnyWell, thank you. I like it too. Gives me something to do, and I don't have to sit there and do it. I can jump around and all this never mind.
BruceYeah, never mind. We don't bore everybody. If they've never played Eve online, they're probably going, what are they talking about?
SunnyWhat are we talking about?
BruceNever mind.
SunnyNow you tell us what the introductory comment was, don't you?
BruceWon't I? Yeah, I will. The introductory comment was they got it off the ground. Yay. Yay! And that was because we were talking about the Artemis II launch. It launched on April the first and it went out and it's been out for ten days. And guess what? It's coming back today. Uh actually they're expecting a splashdown around seven, I think they said seven oh seven. Isn't that weird numbering? Uh seven sometime after seven central time. I don't know why they chose central time to let us know, but I like it.
SunnyBoy, them trucks are loud.
BruceYeah, I got the windows open, folks. Sorry about that, but it's a beautiful day and I want to enjoy the weather.
SunnyAlright, that's okay, but uh maybe they told you in central time because they knew you were listening.
BruceOh hogwash. Well, it could be true. Yeah, it's very far from true. They would first of all, they don't know I'm listening. Second of all, I'm just me. I'm not that important. No, there's a probably a reason I haven't checked into it. But they also said a couple time other time zones too. They just named Central Time first. Oh. Yeah. Oh. So the Artemis II actually got launched, and you know, there was uh we announced at several of our podcast episodes that they were going to, and then it got canceled. They had a bunch of malfunctions, and they actually got it off the ground into space. Okay, that was weird. I somehow hit a button on my keyboard and the uh recording stopped recording. And uh I left off talking about them launching it into space on April the first. So there's a remember April the first. Yeah. What is April the first?
SunnyApril Fool's Day.
Why Artemis II Looks Fake
BruceYes, sir. So everybody's been talking about all that. So uh I've got a video from uh uh one of the social media accounts. I'm gonna play the audio because it puts it in perspective.
SunnyOh, you mean the guy doesn't agree?
BruceYeah, there's so many people out there. There's an argument that it's all fake, and then there's an argument that it's all real, and I'm enjoying both of them. It's kind of you know, I like sci-fi, so this is really right up my alley.
SunnyOh, you don't you don't believe?
BruceIt has nothing to do with believing or not believing. It's the show. That's what everybody's missing. It's the show.
SunnyAll right. Yeah, okay. Play the the clip.
Speaker 1I'm not saying that the Artemis II mission is f being faked. But what I am saying, and emphatically, is I'm underwhelmed right now. I was really excited for some cool stuff. And um I've seen about 10 still photographs. Just static images that look slightly better than the ones taken in 1969. Uh apparently from the exact same spot. They have a spot they like. They like to take a picture with the earth about that big. And and then they don't take any other pictures. And what an opportunity to really stick it to the flat earthers, except for every still image makes the earth kind of look like a flat disk. So I don't know why you're doing that. I don't need an interview with the crew telling me how they eat soup out of a pouch. Take the camera to the window and shut up and just let me see it. I don't know why isn't there something mounted on the outside that just constantly gives me video of the earth? Show me something with movement. Show me weather patterns moving on the earth. Show me rotation of the earth zoomed out so you can see the entire sphere. Rotate. You really want to blow my mind? Show me some upside down flying planes. That's what that's what Daddy wants to see. A skyline of a major city. Upside down with planes flying like that. All I want. And I'm getting none of that. And I suspect I will get none of that either. And we don't know what's real or what's fake. So I don't know why anyone's excited about anything they're seeing. This is so disappointing.
SunnyAll right. That was interesting.
BruceYes, it was. It was. That guy had some uh points. I mean, if you don't like them points, that's fine. We're not here to persuade you either way. We're just giving you the opinions of that person and the opinion of NASA. You've already heard uh they went to space and they're coming down s tonight. Yeah.
SunnyYeah, slashing down, just like always.
BruceYeah, just like always. But we uh want to say that a lot of people think they faked the whole thing. Um there was another opinion, I'll have to play that here in a second, where they think that the uh rocket launched off, but right before it got off the ground or out of the uh the um launching pad, that the astronauts actually exited the spacecraft and then using a zip line, which they have pictures of it, they were hoisted down to the ground. Um if you've seen any of those pictures, there's four, I think it's four, four, five, or how many astronauts they had. Um there's each one of them had a separate container that went down on a zip line. So uh very interesting. All right, bear with me because this next one's a little bit long, but it's quite interesting, and I don't want to have to try to put it all into some kind of summary. I'll just let the person tell you herself.
SunnyOh, you're gonna bore 'em to death.
BruceWell, maybe. Maybe they'll find it interesting or comical. You know, we're like to do a little bit of comedy here.
SunnyYeah, you do very little. Well Well, there you go again.
BruceYep, that's called a raspberry. Archie Bunker used to do it quite well.
SunnyOh boy, I can't believe you brought him up.
BruceWell, whatever. We're gonna play the next clip, okay?
Speaker 2Alright. Three things about NASA going back to the moon that you need to look at because once you see it, you really can't unsee it. Let's just talk about the first one, the parallel. Oh, I love paralleling movies to reality because we're kind of living in a movie. Remember the movie Fantastic Four? Yeah, let's look at that for a second, shall we? Same setup. One leader, one pilot, one scientist, one specialist, a four-person crew going on a mission. One woman, one black guy. Like it's it's the comparison is so But wait for this. The Commander in um Fantastic Four? That's Commander Reed. So what do you think the name is of the commander in Mission Artemis? Commander Reed. Same first name. Can't make it up. Speaking of names, let's look at the names of the four astronauts that went on this mission. You have Wiseman, Wizman, Glover, Glove, her, Christina, Cock, Christina Cock, not disrespecting anyone, Jeremy, Jeremy, me, come on, they're making fun of us at this point. That's me reaching, I get it. But also, it was April Fool's Day. That's timing. This all happens on a full moon on April Fool's Day, and NASA has used April 1 before. In fact, in 2014, through NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day, they dropped a post that looked real. But um, yeah. They were like, haha, funny, April Fool's Day. Then you've got footage. Where to me, who's I've ziplined in Costa Rica, I've ziplined everywhere. It looks like four the four astronauts are being ziplined right out of the rocket before it blasts off.
SunnyI'm just saying, Oh well, that was something.
BruceYep, that was something else. And forgive us folks for the uh noise on her microphone. Uh she was holding her mic while she talked and uh moving it back and forth. I don't know why people think that's a good audio um process, but it's not. If you hold your mic, you're gonna get noise. And okay. Anyway, that was uh opinion from somebody else. So there's a lot of people out there, a lot of videos, a lot of comments, a lot of audio talking about how they have faked the moon. Uh I'm not gonna say the moon landing, because that happened in '69. They're talking about the moon lap. That's what we're gonna call that. The moon lap, yeah.
SunnyOh, now you're making up words to cover what they did.
BruceYeah. Isn't that what we all do? Uh no. Uh okay. Uh I'll leave it. But airing on uh NASA's side for a second, they have made a moon or not a moon, a mileage record from the earth. The farthest, I guess they outdid the Apollo mission, and they got two hundred and fifty-two thousand seven hundred and sixty miles away from the earth, and that was a a winner winner winner, chicken did her Winner chicken what? Never mind. So the Artemis two mission, which started out on April first, which is April Fool's Day, and went ten days, uh, broke a record with no pilots or astronauts in the capsule. Is that what we tend to believe?
SunnyI don't know where they get all this.
BruceWell, they pay attention to what they see, and I can't think of any reason why those four modules will head down right after the rocket launched, unless they was taking somebody out of there. Well, maybe there was some team effort there.
SunnyMaybe there's some helpers, some techs or something that was up there and needed to come down.
BruceOr maybe you're full-blown-y. Or maybe you are. But anyway, something happened. They caught it, they think it's something else, and now I don't know. But there's also another uh video on uh a social media where it shows the astronauts playing with some kind of little toy and it glitching, and then there was a wording that popped up on it said moon, and uh then there was a leaked picture of the astronauts in front of a blue screen in the same position that they were recorded in and put out on the um NASA's page. So with that happening, everybody's saying, Oh, it's all fake. So I don't know if if somebody faked this to present it out there to the culture to make it look like it was faked, or if they actually leaked it and messed up. Who knows?
SunnyYeah, that's so hard to detect because people are faking stuff as fast as the fakers are faking stuff.
More Space News And Moon Counts
BruceYeah, you got that right. Uh faking fakes. Huh? That's kind of weird. Oh boy, another word. Anyway, you can't know what to believe anymore because there's so much AI, so much fakery, and you know, we just have to go on. All right, folks, we took a break. I know you wouldn't have noticed it, but we took a little break that lasted a lot longer than we thought it would. But we are back, and we are now watching NASA's feed, and we're watching the Artemis come closer and closer. It is right now 5 43, so they have about what? Um an hour and 15 minutes to go before they uh splash down, or that's what they're still counting on a little bit after seven. We'll see what happens. But uh it's running uh according to the other site, eleven thousand eight hundred and thirty seven miles an hour. So they're bringing it home fast. I don't know why it uh took off that quick. I guess Ur Earth's gravity hit it. And it's been out there nine hours, so one more hour to give it ten hours. No, wait a minute. They've been out there nine days. So I don't know what the uh how they're gonna do ten days on that if they're coming out at seven o'clock tonight. Guess we'll just wait and see. While we're talking about space, we had a little bit of news from the Euro News. Um, if you want to check it out, go to Euronews and just type in what I'm getting ready to tell you. But apparently the scientists have had a breakthrough and they're a step closer to fusion propelled technology that mimics the energy reactions powering the sun. So you know what that means?
SunnyYeah, we get to burn the place up just like the sun would.
BruceWell, I guess if something goes wrong, yeah.
SunnyThere you go. See, I knew exactly what was gonna happen.
BruceBut what they're striving for is a rocket powered by fusion, and that's gonna take us uh faster, farther, and quicker.
SunnyOh, okay. That come out right during the Artemis flight? That's what you're saying, right?
BruceWell, no, that come out a little bit before. It came out on March. Um now March uh twenty-sixth, I believe, uh that news come out. So no, they're not tying it in with the Artemis. Sorry.
SunnyAlright, I was just grasping his straws.
BruceI know you was. That's a problem, you know, when you can't get that straw, you're allowed to fall off. Uh no. Okay. While we're talking about space, let's throw another space news story in there.
SunnyOh, good grief. Can't you get enough space?
BruceAre you kidding me? Get enough space? Listen to what you said.
SunnyOh, well, yeah, I don't think nobody has enough space.
BruceThere you go. Well, I think if we had too much space we wouldn't be able to talk to people and we might lose our sanity.
SunnyOh, you've already lost your sanity.
BruceWell, uh that may be true, but anyhow, earthsky.org, earthsky.org is the name of the webpage, has come up with a new uh total for Saturn's moons. You heard me right, Saturn's moons. They have now determined that there's two hundred and eighty-five confirmed moons. So that's more than there was before. So let me give you a little bit of the information that they have on the webpage. On March 16th, 2026, the Minor Planet Center announced an addition additional 11 moons for Saturn, bringing its total to a whopping 285, plus Jupiter's moon count has finally cracked a hundred. With an additional addition of four newly discovered moons, Jupiter's grand total now stands at one oh one.
SunnyOh boy, one oh one Yeah, there you go.
Bruce101 and uh Saturn's now at 285. You just had to throw that in there, didn't you?
SunnyI did, I did. Bruce, what else is there to do but to push buttons?
BruceWell, uh yeah, I guess you're right in that aspect. But uh you do a good job. I'm not gonna say anything bad about it. Well you better not. I'll send the listeners after you. Oh now you're threatening me.
SunnyYou're darn right.
BruceAll right, let's talk a little bit about the weather, shall we?
SunnyOh right. I want to do spoke can.
BruceAlright, you do spoke can and I will do Mount Vernon right now. Alright, that's a deal. Alright, we're in or close to Mount Vernon, Illinois, Southern Illinois, and right now it is 65 degrees according to the weather channel. Now my uh axle thermometer says 69, so there's always a little bit of difference. No telling where they've got their uh temperature thing set at, maybe on top of the bank over there in Mount Vernon. Who knows? But they're saying right now that it's raining and it's not, it's not started yet, but we're like I said, a little bit out of town. Um there's supposed to rain, and uh then it's supposed to clear up and just be cloudy there around seven, so we're not gonna get rain for very long. In fact, it says at six o'clock there's only 40 percent, and there's there's where we're at now. So yeah, it's already looking like we're not gonna get any rain. It just clouded up, but I think we missed it. It may have gone north of us again. It's done that quite a bit. But like I said, it is uh quite warm, the wind's four miles an hour out of the northwest, mostly north. Humidity is at 75%, air quality is at 54%, which is moderate, and visibility is at seven miles, and the pressure's 30.22 and rising. And they do their pressure different than I do, so it kind of confuses me on mine. But anyhow, that's Mount Vernon.
SunnyAlright, now I'm gonna do Spokane. Spokane is in Washington State, if any of you want to know.
BruceI think most people know that.
SunnyWell, I'm just in case, Bruce.
BruceAlright, sonny. Good for covering the ground.
SunnyYeah, I cover it good. Anyhow, Spokane, Washington. It is 71 degrees right now, and it is partly cloudy. Um, it's supposed to cloud up tonight and be that way until about one o'clock in the morning, then it's supposed to be partly cloudy the rest of the morning. Alright. It's 71 and it is four mile an hour with north north northwest winds. Air quality is forty-one. Well, that's pretty good. Pressure's twenty-nine point six nine, their pressure's dropping. Visibility's ten miles an hour, yay! And humidity's twenty percent. Wow, that's low.
BruceYeah, that's pretty good though. Thank you, Sunny. You are welcome, Bruce. All right. Sunny, what do you want to do? Phoenix, Arizona or Australian Plains?
SunnyI want to do the Australia Plains.
BruceOkay, I'm gonna do Phoenix, Arizona then this time. Right now, Phoenix, Arizona, it's 90 degrees. Ooh, they're warm. And it is going to be partly cloudy the rest of the evening, up until morning, and then it's gonna start getting a little bit more cloudy all the way up until 4 a.m. It is very windy there. It's eight miles an hour from west to southwest. Air quality is 38, which is good. Air pre or the barometer is at 29.74 and falling. That's probably because that storm's coming in. Visibility is 10 miles an hour, and humidity's at 14%. Wow. They're dry. That's one thing I like about I'd like to try Arizona because it's so dry there.
SunnyYeah, but it's hot. Say it for me, Bruce. Hot.
BruceUh no.
SunnyWell, I'll say it for you. It's hot.
BruceAll right. You got your place coming up. Let 'em know what it's like.
SunnyAll right. The Australia Plains is fifty-four degrees, and now it's getting to be nighttime. The chance of rain is three percent, and it's very windy. Um it's gonna be windy tonight, too. So winds eleven miles an hour west southwest, air quality's nineteen, pressure's thirty point zero seven and rising, visibility's ten miles an hour, and humidity seventy-five.
BruceWow, seventy-five. They've got some uh nastiness going on there.
SunnyOh yeah. It is uh yeah, pretty bad.
BruceWell, there you go, folks. You've just heard it first from the ugly quacking duck. That's the weather for Friday evening on April the 10th, 2026. By the time you hear this, that weather's gonna be gone. But at least you'll have something interesting to listen to besides the depressing news about the war and about all the killing.
SunnyYou just had to go there, didn't you? You just had to.
BruceWell, it's in the news, and I, you know, I just don't wanna uh never mind.
SunnyYeah, never mind. Gee.
BruceAll right, I know we're supposed to give people something else to think about besides all that. But yeah.
SunnyYeah, I was right. Come on, get off of that.
BruceAll right. We'll try, boy. You sure do make your point.
SunnyYou bet I do. That's why you got me aboard, isn't it?
Seven Day Earthquake Numbers
BruceWell, yeah, probably so. Okay, Sunny, you know what time it is? It's time to quit. No, it's not.
SunnyOkay, it's uh time for the seven-day earthquake report.
BruceYes it is.
SunnyI could have done that.
BruceI beat you to it, didn't I?
SunnyYes, you did. Shame on you.
BruceI know. Alright, not to bring up a dead horse again, but I've got Artemis' uh live feed, supposedly it's a live feed from NASA up again, just checking. And they've got an outside camera, supposedly, that's got a picture of the bottom of the rocket or the capsule or whatever it is, and a picture of the Earth, and uh it's not moved. So I guess we don't get a live motion picture, we just get a snap. Which I think is kind of strange, don't you guys? Why wouldn't they have that thing running full blast all the time showing us what's coming and how it looks? Um now they're saying the live events start soon, so um if they've got a live camera oh, I better shut the audio off. If they've got a live camera outside of that spaceship, why are they just snapping pictures every now and then and sending back? They could be uh doing the same thing with video. Um I mean, good grief we've got streaming video now. They've even got HLS that they could have used because podcasters are starting to use it. Nope, we can't do anything like that. We'll just snap a picture. Okay. Anyhow, they're uh showing the same picture and it's kinda strange. But anyway, we'll go back to the earthquake. Let's do the earthquake report. Well, Benz, I did not go over the last week's seven-day report because it was on Friday and we didn't do it uh the podcast on Friday. I'm gonna go over that. So last week's seven-day report was a lot more. Uh we had all together all magnitudes 3,001, which is 30.01%. 2.5 and over was 548, which was higher, which is 18.26%, and then 4.5 was 153, which was higher, which only gave us 5.09%. And the reason why those percentages on the 2.5 and the 4.5 did not go up very much is because the overall magnitude earthquakes, all those, was higher too. So we um kind of balanced out. But if you go by the count, we had a lot more earthquakes last um Friday for the seven days before that. Had more earthquakes, we had more 2.5, and we had more. 4.5s. And then the 6.0s, we had four of them. We had beginning with a 7.3 in Venutia, a 6.0 in Peru, a 7.4 in Indonesia or near Indonesia, and a 6.2 in near Indonesia. A lot of these countries I list, they're actually in the water, the islands and stuff, and the uh earthquakes are around them, not really in them. So we don't see a lot of damage that way. So that's a good thing. But the overall percentage for the seven day or the 6.0 and over was 2.61%. It was a little bit lower than the last two weeks because we had a lot of earthquakes. So there you go. And this week, 410.26, going back seven days from the 10th, we had 2396 for all magnitudes, which gave us 23.96%. And then we had 340 2.5 and over earthquakes, which gave us 14.19%, and then 104 of the 4.5 and over earthquakes, which gave us a 4.34%. So the numbers were slightly lower this week, which is a good thing. Yay! Let's have an applause. Yeah, you was. You're right on it. But lower numbers is great. But what I've seen in the past, well, I'm not even gonna say that because it's not holding true this year. This year's a little bit weird compared to last year, because last year it held out most of the time. We'd have an uptick for one seven-day report, and the next seven-day report would drop down, but the next one would go back up, but it was a 6.0 and over that would go up. It was really strange. This year's not holding up to that. It's something totally different. But there you go. That's the earthquake report from the ugly quacking duck.
SunnyI like that one better. It wasn't near as bad.
BruceNope, not near as bad. Oh, I didn't give it a 6.0. We had one out in the Philippines or near the Philippines, which gave us a 0.96%, which is really low. Now we've had a few that was zero, and I like those better.
SunnyOh yeah. And six point oh's can be very rough.
BruceYep, we are in good shape this week, or this last seven days. I don't know what the next week will be. Well, again, I want to stress to you that these reports, the weather and the earthquakes are just reports that have happened. By the time you hear this episode, uh, they're probably going to be way past happening. And they're just for entertainment. I mean, that's all we're doing. We're just giving you guys some kind of listening entertainment that is different than the news that we're hearing.
SunnyDon't get into it, Bruce.
unknownShh.
BruceI know. I know. I'm not gonna stress everybody out. They're already if you turn on the news, you're already stressed out, so you don't have to deal with that here. We're just hopefully giving you alternative things to talk about, to listen to. We try to get a bunch of uh news stories together and talk about them, but I get on the rampage about rampage about uh certain things or soapbox about other things, and before long we've aid up our time.
SunnyYeah, you're a big mouth.
BruceHey. Well, that's all true.
SunnyYou're here, aren't you?
BruceAlright, well, uh you got your point.
SunnyI know I do. I'm the pointer. Beep beep.
Final Thoughts And Sign Off
BruceOh my goodness. Oh my goodness. All right, that's all we got for you guys today. We're gonna let you go. Um turn on the uh Artemis and watch the rest of that landing. It's gonna happen here real soon. Yeah, they're saying that it starts soon. We'll get to see him splash down, I think. So, and by the way, the sun has now come out, the clouds have rolled away. We didn't get one drop of rain, which is, I guess, a good thing. I got my yard mowed, I got my ditch mowed, I didn't get weed eated though. Um I got to buy some more string or wrap a couple spools, but um, I was ready for the rain, didn't come. I don't know whether to be happy or sad, but the sun's peering into the window right now, blinding me. So it is coming in, dude. It's coming in, dude. Yay, we have sunshine. We have sunshine. Okay, we're gonna say good evening, good day. Whether you're listening to us in the morning, in the afternoon, or in the evening, we hope you have a great one. And whether you're located here in southern Illinois, in the United States, in the world, or somewhere in the universe. Even the unknown universe. Even the unknown universe. We wish you the best. 73. Are you ready, Sunny? I am ready. All right. God be with all lovings. May the Father's love always be with you. Father, we pray that you will bless this episode, send it out, and that it may find people of like mind to touch and give them peace, give them some kind of joy in this crazy world. And we ask you that you will somehow point them to you with this. And I don't know how that's possible unless you just touch their spirit and make them feel better. So we ask that. We ask you to be with those that are having trouble. We thank you for us being able to do this podcast, and we thank you for what you've did in everybody's lives, and we just ask you to keep 'em strong. Thank you. It is so.
