Two Cops One Donut
We were asked “what exactly is the point of this show?”Answer: social media is an underutilized tool by police. Not just police, but firefighters, DA’s, nurses, military, ambulance, teachers; front liners. This show is designed to reveal the full potential of true communication through long discussion format. This will give a voice to these professions that often go unheard from those that do it. Furthermore, it’s designed to show authentic and genuine response; rather than the tiresome “look, cops petting puppies” approach. We are avoiding the sound bite narrative so the first responders and those associated can give fully articulated thought. The idea is the viewers both inside and outside these career fields can gain realistic and genuine perspective to make informed opinions on the content. Overall folks, we want to earn your respect, help create the change you want and need together through all channels of the criminal justice system and those that directly impact it. This comes from the heart with nothing but positive intentions. That is what this show is about. Two Cops One Donut
Live From The Barracks: Cops, Knives, And Cameras
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
A cough, a barracks room, and Wi‑Fi that barely cooperates—perfect conditions to cut through noise and talk about what actually keeps people safe. We open up about IMA reserve life and the grind of self-managed orders, then roll straight into the training we bring to security forces: arrest, search, seizure, use-of-force, and control tactics reduced to what holds up under stress. That foundation sets up a bigger mission for the night: separating perception from process, and ego from judgment.
We put internet flashpoints under a brighter light. Was that “power grip” on a bicep abusive or basic safety while a partner searched the waistband? How do you handle First Amendment auditors without creating a headline—start with the complainant, assess for a crime, educate, document, and walk away. We challenge a soccer-chant arrest abroad that looks more like emotional policing than lawful necessity, and explain why highlighting it is about raising the bar, not chest-thumping. Then come the bodycams: an ambush with a knife that validates “fade the blade,” a low‑light mistake that turns a flashlight into a self-blinder, and a gun contact where the difference between “armed” and “unlawfully armed” changes everything.
The most uncomfortable lesson lands hard: over‑deescalation can get you hurt. We watch a patty‑cake standoff morph into a gun grab and contrast it with a pursuit that ends in a clean, controlled K9 bite—ideal terrain, commands on point, handler composed, suspect compliant. We talk candidly about K9 ethics too: when dogs are the right tool and where some of us draw a hard line. Through it all, we keep the promise—call out the bad, highlight the good, and explain the why so you can challenge us with better questions and sharper takes.

I am your host, Derek Levine, and coming to you live from my barracks, whatever you want to call it, lodging, uh, hotel room on the base. Uh, the only thing I don't know is how well the connection is going to come across. So we are all going to enjoy this Wi-Fi journey together. I do not like using Wi-Fi because I don't know how well it comes across, uh, especially one that's not my own. But here we are. We're set up, we're ready to go. We're live on Instagram as well. Got vertical and horizontal going on. Uh, Mr. Bill Fold in the house saying please don't forget to hit that like button. Yeah, I agree. Don't forget to hit that. Um you may hear it in my voice. I have had a deep chest uh infection all week. Uh it started Friday and it's still there. It's been a big pain in my ass. Um, I haven't been able to do anything. But yeah, um, if you're noticing, yes, I I have I got the mustache back. I apologize. Trust me, it's not something I prefer, but it is something that I've got to deal with. So military got rules. I just follow the rules. Sound is good, but your face is messed up. Thanks, Ward. Appreciate it, buddy. Appreciate it. Um, nobody is on tonight. Uh Banning got tied up. He had some uh family uh emergency stuff going on. Thoughts and prayers go out to him. And let's see, Alan had a birthday party for his 10-year-old nephew, maybe. I think it was. Uh Trey's working overtime. Um, I just didn't hear back from Matt. That happens when you get old, like Matt is just wanders around. He doesn't know what he's doing, so couldn't be there. Uh he said that cold is not gonna help out your PT. I know I am actually very worried about my PT. Um, I have not been able to do anything for the last week. Uh, and I got a bad cough. Uh still spitting shit up. So it is what it is. Um, I see. See, we got this whole, I don't get into the politics side of things, but I am in the military, so this whole Iran thing's got me uh a little nervous, wondering what that's gonna be like. Um I do not have my whole setup, so things may be limited. So just stick with me, guys. Uh, we'll we'll get through it. I promise. Uh it's just like any any other time that I get on. Um, I brought, I look, I mean, I did the best I could. I brought some uh ambiance in the background with my little mobile light kit and trying to make it look somewhat, you know, home friendly. Uh, I don't have my whiskey with me. I had to uh I went grocery shopping today. So this is basically what my trek is. When I got to do my time, my 24 day for those who don't know, I'm still in the military, I'm still in the Air Force. Let me just go down. Uh, let me just go down what has to happen. I have to put in for orders every year. I'm required to do 24 days a year for the IMA reserves. That's the um individual mobilization augmentee. Basically, what that means, um, there's a joke, a running joke. It stands for I am alone. I am a I am alone. And the reason why that is, is because I am responsible for doing all my own paperwork, everything. Um, anybody that's been in the military knows that like your supervisors care take care of all that stuff for you, um, including making sure you you're up to date on all your medical, you're up to date on your PT, you're up to date on um anything that that keeps you mission ready. I'm responsible for doing all that for myself. So people that jump into the IMAs, they have to be a very self-motivated person. If you're not, it is not a good program for you. And most people will get kicked out if they don't keep up with their stuff. And it it's actually it's actually like a I don't know how to explain it. Um, you kind of got to apply for it. They just don't let anybody do it. So you just gotta kind of apply for it. And once you get into the IMAs, you are attached to an active duty unit instead of being attached to a reserve unit. Traditionally, a reserve unit is a bunch of other reserve guys, they have regular jobs, they do their thing, and they do their one weekend a month, two weeks out of the year. Um, that two weeks is called their annual tour. That's where they come in and they get all their training requirements done for the year. Um, and then they've got another 12 days. So there's the where the 24 days come in. So you got two weeks out of the year for your annual training, then um every other weekend is your or one weekend a month is your um IDT's individual duty tour um to get the rest of your shit done. So I I know this isn't what you guys wanted to hear tonight, but I just kind of want to give you the rundown of what I got to go through every year. Um, so Mr. Bill Fold said you're lagging a little bit. Yeah, I figured I might be. It's it's the Wi-Fi, guys. We'll try to make it work and see what it does. If it gets too bad, let me know. We'll just cut it for what it is tonight. I will try to do another live tomorrow um off of my phone. These are my two options. I'm either gonna hot spot off the phone or I'm gonna switch to the Wi-Fi and see what we can do. So try either way. Uh, if it neither of those work, we're kind of screwed. Um I don't know what to tell you. I may have to find a spot and do it on a Saturday night or something. Uh, because I can't. Uh free said it's a minor lag, but it's still bearable. Okay, cool. Thank you. Um I'm gonna cough a lot too. I'm sorry. Uh I don't have a mute button that's right next to me. Um he said, at least you aren't streaming from Bahrain. Yeah, that's true. So, anyway, um I am in charge of scheduling my own annual tour and my IDTs, and I do it all at the same time. I do it all in one stint 24 days straight. Uh, so I only have to do this once a year, and it just didn't works out for me. That's the beauty of being an IMA. You're attached to an active duty unit. These guys are doing it 365-24-7. They are actively a part of the mission. Um, where reserve guys are just weekend warriors. That's where the that's where the term come from, weekend warriors. They still look at me as a weekend warrior, which is fun. So when I go work with the active duty guys, it's just I'm a part timer. And they're not wrong. I am show up and I uh I work with a bunch of security forces guys. They're they're cops for the Air Force, and so they love it when I show up because I end up helping them um uh learn stuff in policing that they've wanted to learn, and so I come here and I'm a trainer. So I try to show them, you know, arrest, search, and seizure, use of force, uh control tactics. I try to keep it pretty basic, and I do that every year, and it's pretty fun because you kind of help weed out the ones that maybe want to be a cop when they get out or just want to improve their policing skills uh for the military. And it it's always a good time. I always have a good time doing it, so it's very fun, and it's a break from my regular job. So, but again, it's still a military, you still gotta mind you, P's and Q's. Adapting is always a little weird for me the first few days because I'm used to being a free thinker, not being uh told what, where, when, what to do all the time, and the Air Force can be that way, so it is what it is. But um, T Ward said he's a keyboard warrior over there. So, as you guys can see, I have a chat overlay. In um, I'm trying to, it looks like my my head's kind of being cut off on the Instagram feed. So I apologize for all those over on Instagram. Um, but this is a new feature on Restream, so I figured I'd put that up there. I'm hoping now everybody can see everybody's chat. All I see is YouTube chat right now. I'm just curious if somebody gets on LinkedIn or one of the other uh chat places, Facebook, if it will show up on here. I haven't seen a different one yet, so um, it is what it is. Um, but yeah, so I don't have my whiskey, I don't have my smoke wagon tonight. Shout out to smoke wagon tonight. We're drinking uh lagonitas hazicus maxicus, maximus. It's uh uh you're not gonna be able to see that. It is a hazy IPA, but it hits like a truck, it's like 9.2%. Um he said Instagram live's still garbage. I will always offer it. I gotta take advantage of the platforms that I have. So all right, you guys know the drill. It's me tonight. We're going back old school style. I'm gonna keep doing the way that I always did it. Uh, there's a LinkedIn user. Does it show up on the regular chat? Um, I'm not seeing it pop up. Oh, yeah, it does show up there. Hell yeah. Great to see you, Eric. Uh that's cool. It does work. It doesn't show who it is. Oh, I'm glad David said it's David. I appreciate it, David, because I can't see who it is on the thing. Shit, I'm gonna get in a coughing fit and I apologize so much. It's gonna be bad. But for those that don't know what we do, what we used to do on this is we will do a uh body cam review. So we'll pull up body cam videos that I have not seen and we'll watch them together, and I'll pretend that I am the cop in the body cam and just kind of run through the call as we go. The fun part for y'all is you get to give feedback and say, all right, well, why did he do, you know, ask questions. Tell me what you would have done different. Um, we'll discuss that. We'll we'll talk about it. Before we go there, though, my other favorite thing that I like to do on these live streams is pull up videos that we've highlighted throughout the week that caused a lot of discussion, and we'll play those and we'll talk about them so I can elaborate a little further on where my mind was at on those. So uh Craig said, cheap night, weller tenure for me. Hey, you can't go wrong with Weller. Weller is a classic. So uh appreciate everybody over on Instagram and make sure you guys uh if if I'm not seeing your chat over on Instagram, I apologize. It is harder for me to keep up with the Instagram chat because it's keep separate on restream. Um, and if that aggravates you, it encourages you to jump over to our YouTube channel, which is still two cops one donut. Uh let me let me pull up our Twitter because I like our X, whatever you want to call it. Share screen. Boom. There we go. I like the way the playback is on Insta or on oh, it's not gonna show up very well on our Instagram. I apologize, Instagram. This is what sucks about it. Doesn't show up the best. Uh okay. Where were we at? We will go, we're not gonna go to that one. We've watched that one before. Okay, we'll talk about this one first, actually. Let me uh biggie size this one. We'll pause it.
SPEAKER_01And he was thrown in the car and that the officer was gripping his arm to show power and dominance. I could not believe the suspect in the video is claiming that he was manhanded. He's saying he was thrown in the car and that the officer was gripping his arm to show power and dominance.
SPEAKER_13I could not believe I was being coveted after an hour of being detained for nothing. He's not squeezing me any harder and harder to keep me from running over this thing. He's doing it to show power to tell me that nowhere to go. It's all about control. Evil men, these people. This isn't policing. This is more close to getting work than anything. Heartbreaking a lot. He didn't throw me in the back of a cup car for just nightmare. No one should go through this ever.
SPEAKER_01All right, from a police perspective, I'm gonna talk about the grip on the arm. All right, let me stop that.
Platform Juggling And Community Chat
Weekly Clips: Grip, Search, And Arrest Context
SPEAKER_11Okay. So you guys, if you've watched the video, you've kind of seen my review, but I'll I'll go over it again. He he talks about the grip on the arm, which is just a standard C clamp grip on the on the bicep. Uh, I didn't see the the officer overtly gripping, you know, white knuckling, nothing like that. It just looked like a standard grip. Um, so I didn't have a problem with the grip. And I know I understand why at the time that the officer was gripping the arm. The other officer, the one that had cuffed him up, was searching him. He was checking his his waistline, checking for all the high wrist spots before he puts them in a police car. That is standard. We do that with everybody. Uh in the videos that you see where people get into the back of a police car and they end up pulling out a weapon or hiding dope or doing all that stuff, it's because they didn't take the time to search properly. So, you guys know me. Like, I'm I was I was I'm I was trying to be, I'm looking, I am digging into this video. I'm like, all right, let me see what he sees. I'm trying to be him, I'm trying to see it from his view. I'm giving it an honest go, and I don't see it. I'm like, all right, I the grip looks fine to me. I don't see him like jerking him around, doing anything like that. It's just a high risk. Well, it is a high risk time. The reason being is because the other officer's arms are intertwined. He's uh something just fell. Um, it might have been one of my lights. But anyway, um, arms are intertwined. He's trying to move his arms side to side so he can check on the hip. Not a big deal. Uh is what it is. So, but that's why that officer was maybe gripping harder because that is a moment, like if he starts getting close to dope or a gun, people tend to get squirmy and move around. So I'm just giving you my perspective as a cop. Like that happens. And yes, it is kind of a mental control thing. It's not, I don't think we he did it for ego. I think he did it to let him know, like, hey, dude, don't try anything right now, especially right now, because I don't want it to be interpreted the wrong way. My other, my partner is checking, and if he gets close to something that's illegal and you start to move, you're probably gonna get taken down, and that is why. So he's trying to he's trying to let him know. Um, innocent auditor 8682. Is this a pro cop channel? I'm new here. Hey, what's up, brother? Uh no, this is not. They're the one thing that we try to do is avoid being an echo chamber. Um, I'm going to let our people in the in the chat let you know, uh, innocent auditor. Um, but I will tell you my perspective is we call out the bad cops and we highlight the good. That's kind of the idea. Uh, I try not to get too copsplainy, uh, but I will call out some bad shenanigans uh the moment I see it. Um so it yeah, we I Craig said it best. More pro doing right things. I think it's important that we show cops doing the right thing. If you just show the bad, you only look at cops as bad. If you just show the good, you just you know, you're boot licking. Like that's not what we're trying to do. Trying to show both. I want to show the examples of good stuff and explain why it's good and why it's important to share that. And then I want to show the bad and explain why it's bad and how we can get better from there and hear your guys' thoughts and opinion on how we can get better as well. Because I'm in a position that we can actually do something about it. So, um, what's up, Lacey? See her in the comments. Big bag of pot 420. What's up, brother? Uh, he said, just wonder if Crops Coast Crunchy are all alerted of the potential terrorists. Yes, yes. Um I I'm spoiled. I'm at a very large department. We have an anti-terrorist group, we've got uh Intel group. We we're on top of things, but I come from a large city too. So, anyway, um back to to this dude. So we talked about the grip on the arm. So again, I I don't know. You got everybody in the comments seemed to pretty much, I would say 95%. You had the outliers that were like, oh, of course you'd think that. I would say most of you guys agreed with me on the grip on the arm. Um, what was another thing? Thrown in the car, bro. How do you say you got thrown in the car? The cop actually put his hand above his head to prevent him from hitting himself his head on the top. Like, there couldn't have been a more chill arrest if you look. I was with you guys. I am I am digging into this one to try to see if this guy's got something that we can talk about. I didn't see it there either. I didn't, I honestly, and then his other complaint was he didn't get officially arrested until about an hour into it. This doesn't look like it was a traffic stop, it looks like it was a domestic, but he didn't explain anything else. And he even up he sent me a message saying that he saw that I had posted his video and said, Do you still feel the same way after looking at this? And then he shared his video and it's just them searching a backpack. There was no chatter. He didn't elaborate on what they were there for. He's being very vague. And I just again, I I'm not gonna say that it was attention seeking or anything like that, but I don't see it. I I don't see it. I don't know. I I'm all for it. Let's find some good videos and dig into them and call out backups. But this was just normal shit, guys. Normal, everyday how you would hope an arrest would go. Very calm, chill, nobody, nobody messing around, nothing like that. So I didn't see it. Um, just looking at what you guys said in the comments now. Um Innocent Auditor said, awesome, love to hear it. I've only met bad cops, never good one. Hopefully, someday I'll meet a good one. I hope you do too. Uh especially if you're if you're an auditor, you probably do. Probably meet a lot of we there's look, cops can can hate on it all they want. Until you stop screwing up how to deal with the First Amendment auditor, there's gonna be hundreds of videos out there of cops being shitty. It is what it is. It's not hard here. If you're a cop and you're listening for the first time, I'll give you the formula again. You get out there, you go make contact with the complainant first. See if they can articulate any crimes that they've seen. So get their story and then see. Okay, so he didn't leave the sidewalk. Did he come inside? No, okay. Did he go into your parking lot? Did you tell him he had to leave? If it's all no's on basically everything and he stayed out on the public sidewalk, all right, ma'am, mister, uh, I have no offense. Uh they are legally allowed, it's their first amendment right to video from a public place, uh, and that's it. And then you leave. You educated them and you leave. You don't have to make contact with the auditor. You can, as a courtesy, I think relationship-wise with the community, it's always nice to go tell the auditors, hey, and I got this tip from another auditor. Um, is to go out and let them know, hey, got a complaint about you. I've already explained to them this is your first amendment, right? Do you have any questions for me? Because they may want to want to know what the um incident number is because it's not gonna be a case number because there was an offense. So that is how you deal with an auditor. It's not hard. As soon as you let your ego start taking over, you're gonna screw it up, y'all. I promise you. So um, is the sound delayed for anyone else? Yeah, the sound may be delayed. If you guys are not, if you're just getting on, I am struggling with this Wi-Fi because I am on a military base. So it is what it is, what I got. If it's tolerable, thank you. If it's not, I understand. I'm gonna try to make it through this live. Uh, and then the next live I do, I'm gonna try to use my phone to see if that makes it any better because I'm on LTE and I've got unlimited data on that, so maybe it'll be better. But I don't know. Nothing but the government best for us. Yeah, exactly. Uh so it is what it is. Alright. With that said, all right, we'll move on to the next. Let me We don't need to oh wait, do we need to see this one? Yes, we do need to see this one. Alright, sorry. I hate that it's not letting me figure out how to pause it. Let's share the screen again. This one caused a lot of chatter, so we'll definitely talk about this one.
SPEAKER_09Oh, you don't mean that team. Can you look at me?
SPEAKER_11Better in other countries. Bomb 38.
SPEAKER_01I'm claiming to you. I wasn't imagining getting arrested.
SPEAKER_11All right. I know this was another country. I understand that. But the thing that drove me nuts is one where in life as a cop, I don't care what country you're from, do you you're like, oh, I gotta arrest this guy now. He's he's chanting at another football team, soccer team. Like, I don't know. I just I cannot fathom this arrest ever. Um, somebody said that them saying what they said was uh has some sort of um anti-Semitic ties, like this kid said. It's context. This is a known thing. I looked this up. This is a known thing between these two teams, and you heard them as they were walking down the road, they're yelling the same thing, so it's known, and you know that this kid ain't out there, like he's literally gonna do that in front of some cops to get arrested, doing it in the context they're saying, like it's bullshit. This is what gives cops bad names. Now, I get it, it is in another country, so I gotta hold it to a slightly different standard. But I'm sorry, I know a lot of dudes from the UK, from England, wherever. Like, I why you didn't even have a complainant, you didn't have anybody complain. Nobody, how are you going to make an arrest when you didn't even have a complaint? That guy didn't go by and go, I'm offended. You as a cop should not be able to be offended. I again it's England. I don't know what the rules are. I'm gonna, I'm not gonna lie, but bullshit. And I'm sorry, the uniform across the world is all it's the uniform, is it is what it is. So if I can bring attention to some bullshit in England, I'm gonna bring some attention to some bullshit in England. That was a horseshit arrest, and you know it. You know it. You didn't even have a complainant, so the cops were fans of the other team. Yeah, you're probably not wrong. Uh have you have you never been to England? The cop is probably a Spurs fan. Yeah, I just I don't get it, guys. I don't understand that. And for those that complain about my my so cops do it better in other countries stuff. Like, if you haven't heard my spiel, why I do it, it's not to make U.S. cops look better and say, oh, we're better over here. And that's not why I'm doing it at all. Why I am doing it is because I have been asked by other countries, by their citizens, and by their own police. I've had several Brazilian police officers reach out to me. Can you share this video and make us look bad? We need a change. The only way we're gonna get change is from pressure from other countries. And I said, Oh, I never considered that. That's why I started doing this. It is not to show that American cops are better, but I did have to spin it in a way that's gonna make you click it. Sorry, it is what it is, it's just strategy, guys. Uh, bigger picture. So horseshit. It's horseshit. Some of the stuff these cops are doing in other countries. So if we can share it and try to make it better for them guys, we're gonna try to do it. I'm not going to apologize for it. I'm not going to uh dwell on people getting upset about what they perceive versus my intention. So uh is what it is. Um, okay, let's go to the next one. Um so let me set this one up a little bit. Uh if you didn't know, I th I I just kind of assume most people knew that this was a skit. Um, this was a skit on some I I don't I don't know where the original came from. I would have gave credit, but it was a skit, and I just thought it was funny, so I played with it. And uh and uh a LinkedIn user said, I've been around the world and Portugal are tough on arrest for bullshit reasons, especially Swiss soccer teams. Um so this video I'm about to show you was a skit, y'all. It was a skit. Um but it was I thought it was funny. All right, let's share a screen.
SPEAKER_14Tonight are searching for a man.
SPEAKER_11Announcement, we need your help finding this guy.
SPEAKER_14Philadelphia police tonight are searching for a man they believe is responsible for at least three murders across the city since October. Investigators released this composite sketch just out of the movies.
Auditors, First Amendment, And Best Practices
SPEAKER_11I've been a detective before, I wasn't the greatest. I'm not Sherlock Holmes, but I'm pretty sure. I thought that one was great. Especially the first time I saw that. I was like, oh shit, that looks just and then I had found out it was a skit. Um too funny. Uh that got a lot of responses though, so this is why I'm showing it. Uh there were people that really thought that that was legit, I guess. I don't know. Anyway, let's see. Oh, here we go. This is one we definitely gotta talk about. Let me get this one up here. This one would be great for uh that um innocent auditor guy. This is definitely not a pro cop one. All right, let's biggie size. Let me share the screen. All right.
unknownDo you want to have a layer of everything in micrograde?
SPEAKER_01I'm not really sure what the call was, but it doesn't matter.
UK Soccer Chant Arrest Critique
SPEAKER_11So I don't know what the call was, but obviously it was some sort of domestic issue call. Officers show up, you can tell. They whatever they were dealing with, they were over with, they were about to leave. They're walking out the door. And you can even hear one of the officers, you can see it in the captions. I've got all I need. And that's common vernacular in police world. I'm done. Nobody's in cuffs, I got nothing here, I'm leaving. And as the guy's going, you can see he's trying to shut the door, and he's shutting the door in a way that even shows me he's not trying to be malicious. Apologies. And uh all of a sudden, cop comes busting through the door. You did that on purpose. Like, what the fuck is that, guys? What is that? That that cop needs to be fired. That cop needs to be charged. That's somebody's home. That is their home. If you're an officer out there listening, that is the most sacred place that you have. And so cops need to be walking on eggshells when they're dealing with somebody else's home. So jumping through, kicking someone's door back open because of some perceived slight that he hit you with the door on purpose, whether that was something that was just a light, that was a light tap at best. It may have hit your heel or your shoulder. Why'd you stop in the doorway anyway? That's the other thing. You see, why'd you stop in the doorway? It was weird. Almost it could be perceived as maybe you stopped so you could make an excuse that he'd hit you with the door, so you had something. So you didn't get called back out there. You were trying to figure out a way to arrest him. That's possible. Would not be the first time I've heard of that. Uh, but it is someone's home. And to me, as a cop, it's the last place that we mess with. I mean, we better have a warrant, we better have something when it comes to a person's home. That's their castle. That's where the castle doctrine comes in from. Uh, but coming in with that attitude and that finger pointing, and it just the ego, you can see it took over. He got emotionally wrapped up in something that he shouldn't be emotional about. Logic and reasoning. That's where we should be making our decisions from. De-escalation. That's another thing. What part of that was an attempt to de-escalate? It wasn't like that door got like through you. It just had to have barely touched you. The better thing would have been, hey man, you got me with the door. This is what I would have said. If that would have even entered my mind, I probably would have ignored it and just kept walking. But if let's say for some reason, I'm like, did he just hit me on the door on purpose? And hey, bro, I'm right here. Um, give him a chance. He probably would have said he's sorry. My bad. Sorry, officer. I was just trying to shut the door. All right, no worries, cool. We're good. It's not hard. It's not hard. Uh that uh that's crazy. Crazy. And then the sad part is this guy decided decided to not comply with the when they told me he's under arrest. And that's not good either. And this is the part that's gonna get you guys all up in arms. But if they tell you you're underrest, just go with it. I'm telling you, just go with it. Because that could have been, you know, Tubby there, he he ain't fighting. He was not going to be fighting anybody. He'd have been out of breath in 10 seconds and immediately gone to his gun. And then for you're gonna get you're gonna get shot over some nonsense because that cop's on ego trip. You're recording, which is beautiful. Kill him with kindness. That that's my honest recommendation in situations like this. Could you legally be justified in defending yourself? Possibly, but is that something you want to risk? I wouldn't. Me personally, I wouldn't. I would not want to, guys. I know it's not gonna be a popular opinion. I'm sorry. I just I got kids I gotta worry about. Like if I'm in this guy's shoes, I've got kids I gotta worry about. I got my wife. I my ego to show that I was right, I'm just I'm not going to not gonna risk that. Not not to stand on that principle that you have no right to be in my house. I'm gonna I'm gonna fight that fight in court and easily hopefully win that. It's a gamble. But I on that one, no. I'm just gonna alright, put me in cuffs. I've already got it recording. He's hopefully recording, but it's into that. I'd shoot him, I'd do this, I'd do that. Yeah. Easy to say from sitting in your chair. Not a smart move. It's not a smart move. Just me. Um again, it's not me defending. I've already told you, I think the cops were in the wrong, but it's not worth it. Talk to some of these more old school guys in the comment section, they'll tell you. It's you know, 24-year-old me would be like, yeah, defend your home. I would have told you straight out. But with age comes wisdom, hopefully. I'm 43. Turn 43 on February 12th. But uh let's see. Uh and jury's likely to compliment person who was unlawfully arrested. Uh if that is the case for this guy. I I would hope. Again, it's a gamble. I'm if we're gonna be honest, it just depends on the state you're in and the jury you get. You are gambling when you leave it up to the courts. But you're definitely in a a much less advantage uh in fighting in this instance. Especially we don't know the background, we don't know why they were allowed to be there, any of that. So um, oh yeah. I don't think we talked about this one either. So uh let me show this next one. We're gonna share the screen. This will be the last one, and then we'll get into the body cam reviews.
SPEAKER_10Device with my right hand. Okay, ticket.
SPEAKER_11Okay, here we go. This cop fly.
SPEAKER_10Turns out you can still get a ticket for driving with a device in your right hand, even if you don't have a right hand. Alright, man.
SPEAKER_12So we're gonna review citation for uh wireless communication device and hell while driving. You can't we gotta put the phone down as we operate a motor people.
SPEAKER_10Oh, and you put on there that you saw me with my right hand holding it. Yeah. If you want to take it to the core, but that's what you said when you pulled me over, yes? That you saw me holding my device with my right hand.
SPEAKER_12Yes, that's what I'm saying. Okay, yes. If you want to take it to court, and that's what you saw. That's what I said.
SPEAKER_10That's what you said you saw. Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_12Any questions?
SPEAKER_10No, thank you.
Viral Skit, Media Literacy, And Humor
SPEAKER_11All right, that's checkmate. Oh shit. That's so good for her. Um now. Here's something to consider. Here's some different you got this one. Got a lot of uh comments, so that's what's kind of fun for me. Is somebody said she could have been holding it like with her nub like this up against her head? Possible. She could have had a prosthetic, possible. I don't know. Um, other questions we have is did the officer know? Did she show her that did she show him that she had that deformity once he got up to the car, or did she keep it hidden? I I'm not gonna lie, if it would have been me, I would have kept it hidden. I just to have fun with it. Uh that her whole yeah, Freddy said, I I love her attitude. I like her attitude about it too. I just thought it was funny. Um, so I've been trying to follow the page, but apparently her attorney told her to take the videos down and not say anything until after the the trial happens. So, or a court case happens, doesn't mean it's gonna go to trial. But uh that shit was funny. Um, now does that mean that the cop lied? It doesn't mean he lied, doesn't mean he lied. He just could have been the view, the angle. We don't know what he's seen. Maybe she was sitting there with her head, like just holding her head, and he just assumed he could have been wrong. So uh that that is these are all possibilities. So people are just oh, he's fucking lying. Brady list him, da da da. You don't know that. Let's not jump right to that. Is it possible? Yeah. What would really make me mad is if he knew once he got up there and realized, oh shit, and then he doubled down and he didn't cancel the ticket. Um canceling a ticket can be kind of a pain in the ass for officers. Um, I everybody's process is a little different. Like where I'm at, if I want to cancel a ticket, they have to bring I'm not writing tickets, but if an officer, if I officer I'm supervising, wrote a ticket, he wants to cancel it. Excuse me, he'd have to bring it to me, and then I'd have to cancel it out. And he's got to write up on IOC why he wants to cancel it. And it is, it's it's a pain in the butt. Um and can be an incentive for officers to be now. Let's all right, let's throw this out there, too. Are there officers that would double down just to get it to go to court to get the overtime to say, oh, I didn't realize until I got up there, so yeah. So now they get the overtime, the case is gonna get dismissed anyway, and they get paid for it. That could be possible, that could be for sure possible. So these are that these are insights I want you guys to think about when you're thinking about you know, cops that do write a bunch of tickets, stuff like that. No, there's not quotas anymore, but how do you get evaluated for job performance? If you work for a traffic unit who gets the hyped up car, you get a car with a better engine, uh, or you're on a motorcycle, so that's a perk. And you get to work all of the special events, if it's a sporting event or uh dignitary comes through town or whatever it is, and they need escorts, the traffic unit is the one that gets to do all that stuff. If you want to stay in the unit, you have to show that you're out there performing. So if you go out there and you've been you get evaluated every quarter or whatever it is, and you have written zero tickets and you're they're gonna ask, How are you performing? How else are they gonna judge your performance? So that is a way that they can kind of hold you hostage in that unit to have the perks. And there's officers that will do it for sure. Things to think about. Now where I'm at, they've got a cool system. That's not a problem. But it could be, uh, and I know that it is at certain departments. Um Craig Holcomb said that's bullshit. Way to manipulate a paycheck, and the court should charge the officer for court fees and time the court has wasted. Yeah, but now you gotta prove that's why he did it. You gotta prove that he did it intentionally. Hard to do. It's hard to do. And officers know that. So play stupid. Alright, let's go to some body cam review. Okay, I have not seen any of these videos that we're about to watch. I have queued them up and just paused them right when they started, and I have not watched them. They are all coming from Police Activity YouTube channel. So I want to give a shout-out to Police Activity YouTube. We're gonna show their main page. Make sure you guys like, follow, subscribe. They've only got 60, there's 6.8 million subs. So they're not doing real good. I mean, they're nothing compared to two cops one donut right now. So, I mean, they need all the help they can get, guys. But we'll move over, we'll share this one instead. We will biggest size this guy. All right, y'all. Let's let's get started with some body cam reviews. What do you say?
SPEAKER_04What's up, dude?
SPEAKER_08Well Are you the one that called about the DV that happened right now? TV? Are people arguing? Yes. You calling about that? Yes.
Home Entry Ego: Castle Doctrine And Strategy
SPEAKER_11So okay. So we're looking for somebody. This is this is typically what happens on a call. We're looking for somebody that called in a domestic violence call. So a lot of times what we'll ask is what the dispatcher will ask what the caller looks like. So the person that is calling in, you know, what are you wearing? Well, I'm wearing all black. I'm I'm, you know, uh black male, Hispanic male, whatever it is. Uh, and then we're also asking for a description of what the uh people that he's complaining about, the domestic that he's complaining about. So I'd want to know, is it a male and a female? Is it a male and a male? Who is it? What are they wearing? Color, the all this stuff, age, all that. So for me right now, um my my defenses are gonna be down, honestly. I'm looking for my complainant. Looks like we found him. So now I gotta get the story and then I gotta figure out where this domestic's at. So right now it's just information gathering and uh finding out where my my party, my domestic's at. Um to see what this guy's seen. Again, if I can get from this guy that all it was was an argument verbal, um, because that's what I'm trying to find out. Did you see him put hands on each other? If it's a yes, okay, who put hands on who? If they both did it, that's gonna make things a little harder. We're gonna have to figure it out. Um, but if if nobody put hands on either, they're just arguing. Now it's a verbal, it's not really a domestic. Um I just saw that it said my connection was lost, but it came right back. So somebody in the chat let me know if you can still hear me real quick. I know it takes a little bit, so I'm gonna give it a second. Let me know if you guys can hear me in the chat. I'm not sure if we're still showing. I want to make sure we're still connected. But yeah, yeah, free said, watch them damn pockets. Yeah, he's got his hands in his pockets for sure. Just trying to make sure the chat's still going. Steve Wallace in the house saying hit the like button. Awesome. Looks like over on Instagram we're still good. Thank you guys. Appreciate it. Okay, you guys can still hear me. Okay. Um, and then yeah, free free is right. Um, watch the hands. I it doesn't matter if it's my caller or not. Um, we do want to watch the hands. Uh, but I'm probably going to be just like this dude. Um, let me get the mouse on him. Uh this guy right here. I don't know if you guys can see that. Probably not. Can't see that. Let me see. This guy right here. I'm probably gonna be this dude right here. Uh, I would be angled off a little more just for angles. I like my angles. I don't like being straight on with anybody ever. But uh yeah, so like I said, I'm getting the description of what he saw. I'm trying to figure out if I have an offense. If I don't have an offense, I can explain to him. Well, if he just saw verbal, we're gonna go still make contact with whoever he's seen arguing. But if it I like to explain to people the what an offense truly is versus what is not. So in this case, if they just were verbally yelling back and forth, that's not nobody's getting arrested on that. So, all right, let's keep going.
SPEAKER_06I didn't say you you call us to despite you thought two people arguing.
SPEAKER_05Let's get to that first and then we go to the second part. So that was happening over.
SPEAKER_11Oh, that's bad. I don't know what he's doing right now. Anytime somebody is talking and then they just suddenly stop, he was in the middle of describing something. Um there your brain can only do two things at or do one thing at a time. So if you got your hands in your pocket and you suddenly stop talking, that's when all my spidey senses start flaring. Um I don't I don't like this. Uh you're in Foxville, tactically speaking. He's got he's between the car and this dude. He's got nowhere to run, but he's doing something. I uh it looks like he's pulling a gun. That's what it looks like to me. Um his facial expression doesn't tell me that, but he may not be there yet. Uh, can you give a shout out to Deputy Tony Parish from Rabon County Sheriff's Department? Sure. What up, Tony Parrish? Welcome to the show. Stay safe, brother. Uh remember, respect people's rights. All right. Uh okay, so from here, get off the X. That's the only advice I could give because it looks like he's about to do some shenanigans. Yep. Yep, and he ran into the car. I can't tell if he did anything to him. This is starting to look more like a knife. Uh yeah, um actually I can see right here it says knife, so that makes more sense. Because I didn't hear a gunshot. Yeah, now it's just fucking run. People laugh at me all the time, but I tell I've I will run. I from a knife, I'll run half a block. I will tire you out if you chase me with a knife. And once you're tired, I'll turn around and address the threat. As long as nobody else is in danger. Why do I want to stand there and try to go hand to hand with a knife? The that's the mantra. Fade the blade. You do not want to go hands-on with a blade. Oh shit. That officer got cut. I can see blood droplets already on the ground. That's not good. Definitely justified in uh use of force. This looks like an ambush call. This guy called to get the cops there. So I don't want to necessarily necessarily say uh suicide by cop, but oh fuck. Um I mean, essentially that's what it's gonna be. Um Craig said, run and piss your pants. Right? Uh Damn, he must have got pretty bad. A lot of times you don't even realize you're cut. You don't you don't realize your cut. So for him to be down and out pretty pretty quick, because he got he got hit by that guy, fell, and then he didn't really get back up. So he must have got him really good.
SPEAKER_08Say, you know what they call them on the TV and have it right now?
SPEAKER_11Oh, so the first thing out of his mouth was they put a a false case on me. My spidey senses would have been going off if I would have heard that. This dude is he's not staying on topic. So uh, yeah, I I wouldn't. Oh shit. I mean, it's not fair because I already know what happens now, but that looks like a weapon. Does it not? It should have rolled under the car. I don't think he would have fit, brother. All right, let's keep going.
SPEAKER_05A TV?
SPEAKER_08A DV. And are people arguing?
SPEAKER_05Yes. What's your name, Jude? Yes. Okay, so oh, come on, brother.
SPEAKER_11He's not holding his hands natural. That's not a natural pose. Like, what you see the officers doing, that is normal. We put our thumbs in there all the time. It's comfortable. Look, it is it the we can we can argue all day about whether or not it puts you behind the curve or whatever, but it's not that big a deal, in my opinion. It's not it's not the end all be all. Can you have your hands in better places? Sure, but is it terrible? Is it gonna is somebody gonna be able to pin your hands to your own chest? I doubt it. Um but yeah. Uh Craig said, then why leave the car so close? Yeah. Um they they are really close. They are. I I'm I I'm a lot like that too. I like to be close to people because I prefer to go hands-on if shit hits the fan. Um, because I can prevent this guy from getting to a knife. That's the hope. But I don't like my spidey senses are like I didn't hear this on the from the other officer's perspective. But from this guy, I heard right away that he's like they put a false case on me, da da da. Like, that's a spidey sense thing all day long. I would have definitely not got myself trapped between the car and that.
SPEAKER_08Um I didn't just give me to understand. You you called us because you you said to this guy if you saw two people arguing.
SPEAKER_00Look at that.
SPEAKER_15Okay, let's get to that first and then we go to the second part. Yeah, so that was happening over.
SPEAKER_11This is where he stops talking. This is the bad part. Like he unzip. Oh man, that's terrible. That's a bad, bad, bad day all day long.
SPEAKER_05Shut up, shut up. Shut up, shut up, shut up. Lay on your stomach, lay on your stomach so we can help you. You understand?
SPEAKER_11I like that. So lay on your stomach so we can help you. These guys I truly believe these guys were out to try to do the right thing.
SPEAKER_05Lay on your stomach. Drop it, drop it up, lay on your stomach so we can help you.
SPEAKER_11That's what it was. Got him in the top of the head.
SPEAKER_05Get your head down. Lay on your stomach. I've got comms. Lay out your stomach now. Lay on your stomach so we can help you.
SPEAKER_11I like that. He said, I got comms. He's saying, I will I'll be the talker. That's good. So you don't got too many people yelling at the same time.
SPEAKER_05Understand. Knife still in his hand. Lay on your stomach, let go of the knife. Drop it. Now turn on your stomach so we can help you.
The One-Armed Phone Ticket Debate
Bodycam Reviews Kickoff And Tactics
SPEAKER_11Okay. Let's discuss it. Overall. Uh good work. I I don't have a problem with what I saw. Um let me overlay the chat again. Could they have done better, sure. But they don't you don't typically think you're gonna get ambushed on a domestic call necessarily in a public place like that. Um, I would be a little more leery going into a neighborhood versus out in the public, but when people ask why are cops always so paranoid and ask about, you know, it's for officer safety, it's for officer safety. Well, this video in particular is going to be shown during their academy training, and it's gonna get them all paranoid before they go out to the streets. And that that's their training. What do you guys think about that? Um, but yeah, yeah, I agree with Mr. Bilfold, the last officer, he was trained very well. He not only did he tell the guy, he communicated really well with the bad guy, telling him, Hey, we can't help you until you get rid of that knife, roll over on your stomach so we can help you to let him know. It's clear communication. He's letting them know, like, we want to help you, but we cannot do it until you do these things. And he and he kept repeating it, so it was really good. Uh, he also told everybody, hey, I got comms, meaning, hey, I'll be the guy that talks, so we don't get confusion. We understand what's going on. Everybody understands what's going on. So it was good stuff. I agree. He was definitely well trained. And I promise you, it doesn't, it does not matter how much you train until you've been around actual shots fired, nothing quite prepares you, and you don't know how you're gonna react. I always wondered myself how I would react once gunshots actually started ringing out around me. And luckily for me, I was I was very happy with how I responded. So I didn't do anything heroic. Don't get any, don't get me wrong. I just I'm happy with I kept moving forward. That was what that's what mattered to me. I just wanted to make sure I didn't get stuck and didn't run. That was the other thing. You don't want to be running. Unless it's called for. I've ran from an I I already told you guys I ran from a knife. I ran from a guy that had a um God, a barbecue tool. I don't know what else to call it. The the the big fork that's got the two prongs on it. A big old fat guy came running at me with one of those things before, and I just ran down the street. I ran about a block, turn around, see where he's at. And he was doubled over, huffing and puffing. Partners rolled up, one of them ended up tasing him, and it was simple. Pretty easy. Um, Steve Wall said, What would you have done if you started digging in the pocket? Uh pin the hand, push, kick, or something. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Once they start digging, that's why I like to stand close to people. So, Steve, that's a good question. He said, What would you have done if you started digging in the pocket? Pin the hand, push, kick, or something else. Um, I'm a big fan of pinning that son of a bitch right to their body. I'm gonna straight arm it. It's hard to demonstrate, but I'm gonna get in, push up against them, and I'm dumping them. I'm dumping them over. I'm gonna get control of the head, use a foot sweep. I mean, this is again, this is all easy to say until you guys have actually done takedowns and stuff like that. You can have an idea in your head what you want to do, and hopefully it works. You hope it works. Instinctually, I can tell you I would have pinned him up against the wall. I would have pinned that hand into his pocket or wherever I caught it at, and I would have I would have pushed his face so far up that wall for where he was standing up against, and then hope my partner, you know, came in and got the legs. Uh, and I probably would have then really started working that arm, starting to do some sort of Kamora grip or something like key lock on the on the arm. Um I can hear him playing taps. I do forget about that. If you don't you don't live on the base, you forget about all the bass stuff that happens every day. And they play taps. Yeah, it's 9 o'clock and they're playing taps right now. Um yeah, uh let's see, what else? Teep kick, Steven. What? Uh 99% of all issues on the street are solved by sending a knee in the wrong direction, then collect the knife. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. I see the blue and beyond over there on Instagram. What's up, brother? Um, guys, if you're on Instagram, there's not a whole lot of people that chat on Instagram. I just have it up as a uh to do fat dude would have taken you. Yeah. Listen, y'all. There is a there's a reason they have weight classes. And I I run. I'm a I I'm pretty good into my fitness. Like, I'm not gonna say I'm in good, I have a dad bod, but I can run two miles, I can do my 50 push-ups and my 50 sit-ups and my 50 air squats, like that's my thing. I can I can knock those out all day. I can swim for a half hour. Uh so cardio's good. Like, I'm good to go. So if I can outrun you, tire you out, and then turn around and be fine and you're gassed, yeah. Why wouldn't I do that? Versus having to shoot you. I'll do that all day. It's not a question. Uh the blue and beyond said, what did I miss? What are we talking about tonight? We're not talking about anything in particular, but yeah, if you jump over on our two cops, one donut YouTube channel, uh, you'll probably be able to keep up with the chat a lot better. But I do look over at the Instagram chat as best I can. Um, but no, tonight we're just kind of freestyling it. We're doing a little body cam review, checking out what's on. So appreciate it. Let me see what uh bet he knows how to barbecue. Yeah, I bet he did too. Um now I'm not gonna lie, the guy was uh it wasn't special needs, but there was something wrong with him. He was mentally like he wasn't in a mental crisis, but he was schizo or something like that. I can't remember what it was. Um T P N J. Damn, you're shitting on me. I don't know, I didn't know I was shitting on anybody. I don't even know what's a WP, I don't know who you are, brother, but I'm not shitting on anybody. Uh Mr. Billfold said, Personal experience has made me never try to pin a hand with a knife. I'ma sweep the leg, Johnny, because I am too slow to outrun anybody. Yeah, yeah. And it depends. Like, I don't know if you're reaching for a knife or for a gun or whatever it is, but if I can get to that hand and start pinning before you can get to it, that's the idea. Um, he made it over here. He said blue and beyond. What's up? Uh he jumped on. Good stuff. Uh I said, damn, I need to make it a YouTube page. Yeah. Fitness. There you go. Fitness is where it's at, brother. Gotta stay in shape. I am worried about my PT test, y'all. I don't have to do it. I I can actually put it off until March 23rd. So I'll probably do that just to give my body time to recover from the sickness. Every time I talk about it though, I gotta cough. Sorry. Trying to keep it off there. Um, all right, let me pull up the next video. Where are we at? We are at an hour. We're doing all right. Nobody's complaining about the lag or anything like that. Was shitting his pants when Fat Boy pulled that sport. Yeah. Trust me, when he pulled that thing out, I was like, uh I immediately started looking around, going, where can I go? Kept trying to tell him, hey brother, I don't I don't want to fight you. I don't want to do any of that. And this is how I talk to people. You can you guys figure out where I work, it's not hard to do, but pull up my body cam videos, do a freedom of information act on my stuff. I promise you. Hey man, hey, promise you. Just put that down. Like, I I don't want I don't want that smoke because I don't. I ain't trying to do none of that. Um okay. Let's see here. We're gonna share screen. Make sure we got the right one up. Okay, we're gonna biggie size and make sure the volume doesn't blast our ears. All right, let me get rid of the chat. There it goes. All right, let's see what we got. I have not watched this video, so I don't know what it is. All right, we got body cam. We're following some people into a store. I'm gonna guess it's a trespassing. All right, I just want to see what we have. Okay, so if I'm the officer, uh immediately I am hyper concerned about the tight space. There is nowhere to go in here. It looks like it is fully controlled just by the by the uh the workers. What I mean is everything is behind glass. You can't get anything without requesting it. So it doesn't look like you can really steal a whole bunch in there. Um, but yeah, these are tight quarters, so I'm wondering, I'm wondering what we're doing here.
unknownI'm gonna
Ambushed With A Knife: Fade The Blade
SPEAKER_05guess it i'm gonna guess it's a trespass we want to we want to trespass somebody we get no audio oh it even tells you typically body cams the settings is either 30 seconds or a minute uh where i seconds and then you get audio and the reason why that is is because the video is actually showing you 30 seconds prior to when they hit play or hit record so this is before they're actually being recorded the the body camera actually is recording a minute before that so all right body language tells me they're trying to get the fuck out of here I don't know why but that's what I see is a bunch of guys that don't want nothing to do with the cops they're trying to leave but I don't I don't have anything yet I didn't see anything and I have no idea what they were saying because it was all unmuted there's no way they're following this guy and not telling him hey stop turn around come here talk to me something to that effect and he's ignoring that that's my guess I could maybe I'm wrong I don't know he said get your hands at your dick did you guys hear that I'm gonna go back pretty sure that's what he said closing it's a hit oh my god that is the most tactical nightmare in the world they were set up in a triangle trying to shoot this dude but he definitely was digging for something now people get all up in arms about stuff cops say after they get involved in a shooting I'm telling you that's a stress release he didn't know what to say woo was what he went with a Ric Flair on that one so went with a Ric Flair I don't got a problem with that flare let me see it let me see it back up and back up so this guy's saying that's my nephew that's my nephew I am I am going to pat this guy down real quick hey sir real quick I'm gonna try to let you get to your nephew but I I need you to let me pat you down real quick so I can make sure you don't have a weapon because it's a it's a reasonable thing right now people people act screwy here so in these situations that's adrenaline you guys that is that is pure adrenaline just the the repeated got the gun got the gun fuck fuck fuck fuck that's adrenaline that is uh unless you've ever actually faced it I I'm not I don't really judge people when they're on adrenaline uh by what they say I got the gun that dude was on his freaking phone they must have known something about these guys and I just can't figure it out because it's a little bit more nudge he realized real quick he was in a bad spot um let me see let me see what it says I'd like to know more because uh only one of them looked like he said it had something that said police on it.
SPEAKER_11Okay so it happened in Baltimore they were at a store 3600 block when they observed an adult male later identified as Dwight Hawkins who they believed to be armed officer saw Hawkins exit the store and began to follow him began to run from the officers officers gave them multiple commands as Hawkins continued to run he pulled out the handgun ooh I don't like that I don't like that yeah this one's not gonna get my seal of approval how do you know he's not lawfully carrying this is the this is the difference between living in Texas and living in living in Baltimore you're allowed to have a gun so that alone does not justify following somebody stalking somebody and telling them stop uh yeah Ward Ward's out of Texas too y'all he said you can't have be armed in Baltimore see this is a Texas response everybody has a gun so I don't you need more than that for me to get behind it. I don't like this one I'm hoping there's more to the story. Again we're just going based on what police activity could find out we don't have the report we don't have none of that so those are things to factor in but if you're just checking somebody out purely because you think they're armed I that's I don't like that it did look like a specialized unit for sure um but again I only saw one guy clearly marked as police the guy that was running into the blue hoodie it didn't say police across the back so other things to consider is it maybe somebody they've dealt with in the past could have been a known felon. All of these things um oh Mr Billful just said the video says that they knew him from extensive police history that's okay that's possible that that is more in their favor um but again if you know he's a prior felon then then that's that's where that becomes an issue so then they got a little more leg to stand on Ward said I'm from Texas even my florist has a gun right no that's what I'm talking about yeah well I'm a big fan of that I would like I would like more to go on and that's why they were acting all chill in the store they were pressuring them that's a that's a common tactic common police tactic is we'll we'll go in and just see like if we show up do they immediately leave oh my god dying so all right let's go to the next this video is three minutes long so it's not very long either I try to keep all these videos under five minutes so I need to share the screen boom there we go biggie size and play man let's go hey don't grab that oh okay I I I was only gonna pause it because I I was gonna say I don't know if we're dealing with a burglary of a vehicle here or somebody's sitting sleeping in a car but I just heard don't grab that I'm gonna get my gun out right now especially at nighttime and I hear don't grab that because I don't know what the hell he's grabbing and my partner didn't really articulate it he just said don't grab that so here let's go let's go drop that shoot oh we got a suicide by a cop go on shoot me and it looks like he's got either a phone or a shiny knife in his hand I can't tell because this is not the best quality video let me see can we make it any better um maybe I don't know if I care for that I understand very close well within the whole 21 foot rule which isn't an actual rule it's more like 35 feet by the way if you if you never heard the 21 foot rule I'll say it for those that you know if you've already heard it I'm sorry but uh the idea is it takes 21 feet it's really like 35 feet to 40 feet for a person to run at you with a knife to get you and cut you before you can get one shot off.
Stress, Communication, And Training Takeaways
SPEAKER_07So that means drawing from the holster pulling out and getting a shot off um but this guy definitely giving all the indications of suicide by cop and they were all in very close proximity you'll always kind of see this lull it's very common after a shooting cops are just they're processing they're wondering what the fuck just happened what do I do is did I just see what I just think I saw did I shoot how many people did I get shot at like there's a whole bunch of crap going through your mind I promise okay hey somebody get uh let's talk first aid on me keep it on me first aid start on me I got a bag where we go to know what I think it's the next one there's that maroon that's the maroon Honda Odyssey right there isn't it okay so the Paul specifically mentioned exact vehicle that's a good that's a good sign he's right here in the car hey man step out for me okay hey don't grab that hey hey he's got an eye he's got an eye shoot me shoot me motherfucker had his flashlight pointed right at his own face anybody else notice that look where his flashlight's pointed right now I'm gonna go back he he he pointed his flashlight at his own face now I don't think he did that intentionally but he knew the guy grabbed a knife and I think he just did what he could in the moment and that may have made things harder for him to see and that's why he pulled the trigger okay this is why you don't judge jump to conclusions too quickly HQ we got shots fired officer 77 stars 1068 hey somebody get uh let's start first aid on him somebody go back the car let's get first aid started on him hey don't grab that hey hey hey he's got a knife he's got a knife drop that knife damn all right now I gotta read the story on that one because that was crazy all right it says Jacksonville Florida on my birthday February 12th responded to a home on Dunn Avenue in response to an armed domestic disturbance okay suspect's wife reported an intoxicated 62 year old Jose Cabrera held her down while armed with a knife threatening to kill her and himself the victim pushed Cabrera away and got into his vehicle and drove away the victim provided the officers with a description of Cabrera's vehicle and his phone number she also told officers Cabrera could be on his way to Foxtail Lane officers called Cabrera he answered and told officers the police would have to kill him before they returned to before he returned to prison.
Low-Light Mistakes And Suicide By Cop
SPEAKER_11Just after midnight on February 13th okay so he didn't get killed on my birthday that would have been bad juju they found his vehicle parked in the driveway we already know that part okay so he wasn't even in a he wasn't even at his own place in somebody else's driveway whoops this the same video let me pause that there so project 1868 said low light training in most agencies is check the box once a year yeah you're not lying twitchy no I'm not getting sick I've been sick I was sick all weekend I've been sick since Friday last Friday so I'm I got chest congestion and all that trying to get over it's just uh tall chest chest and lungs with a bad cough I don't feel sick I feel good I feel fine I just my chest is jacked up all right let me look all right next video as long as nobody else let me see what everybody else said he said man he sounds really calm yeah he did yep yep uh I took a class from Dennis Toller 20 foot rule inventor yep yeah it if you don't practice with your light it is it's it's very easy to do exactly what this guy did. Now you got your light pointed back at you some people have they'll have a light on their gun and they're still using their flashlight they're out there like this so it does happen. That's what happens when you don't practice with it all right let me go to the next video here how we doing on time we're at hour almost hour and a half mr limingston said ah I'm in Jacksonville Florida that's your people all right let me biggie size this guy there we go okay you guys know the rules we don't know what the video is about but we buy that two probably out with two next to the hamburger place how's it going good what's her name again Jason uh behind Ma's hamburger Clinton and West Okay it looks like they probably got called here because somebody's starting a fire outside the back of a restaurant or business of some sort not the end of the world they're probably just looks like they're probably trying to keep warm or something um so keep an eye on the hands him being on that little scooter bike actually puts me in a position of advantage because if he decides to do anything reckless his his feet are tangled up this is not that it's actually a pretty good position for me. I would want the other guy to come out there's a guy behind him that's looks like he's a part of the fire building over here but we'll see let's keep going. Jason yeah do me a favor put your hands behind the back huh okay I'm not doing this by myself if anything I'm gonna make small talk until I get somebody there this is where cops mess up a lot we try to handle stuff by ourselves that we should never be handling by ourselves if we can help it. Now if you're a deputy that works in the boons and you your nearest backup is an hour away I understand we can't wait an hour. But this looks like normal city style cop stuff so if I gotta wait 10 minutes and sit there and BS with him and figure out why he's there while I can see his hands before I try to cuff this guy up I'm gonna do that. I'm gonna wait. It's just a smarter play let's see here project 1868 said quick flash of your flashlight in the eyes is a lost art. No that's not a lost art that is that still works. That is definitely still something to do yeah you might be right maybe the rookies don't know that Jason no Jason works please stop Jason okay if I've told you to put your hands behind your back I don't do this patty cake shit. As soon as I grab a hold of you and you start pulling away I'm taking you down to the ground this Jason Jason he's made up his mind he's fighting or fleeing or doing something the longer you let this draw out now people think that I'm over the top if I just take you to the ground really quick right here and let you know you're not going anywhere and I'm in control it may prevent you from doing something that's going to cause me to use a higher use of force. Because if you start digging around I may end up tasing you I may end up using my baton or pepper spray versus just taking you to the ground real rough I may end up having to use my firearm like based on your behavior.
SPEAKER_02So people that get upset well he wasn't really doing anything you slammed him on the ground yeah because it might prevent me having to use a higher use of force later so let's see what happens I will tase you don't Jason I don't I'm not asking I'm not on pole or nothing Jason I'm not on parole I'm not on parole Jason stop Jason stop stop man Jason stop you bro dude stop Jason oh I don't know if you guys caught that that right hand reached back for something I didn't need man I paused that at the perfect time I don't know if you can see it but his right hand disappeared from here I'm gonna go back just a little bit watch that right hand disappear that would make me super nervous like he's reaching for something to dump you bro Jason what are you doing Jason stop let go man let go Jason let go of me Jason let go of me Jason let go you you see this this
SPEAKER_11I call it Patty Caking. This back and forth, you know, just like in Patty Cake. Why are Jason? Jason. If he would have just handled business and taken this guy to the ground, he may have gotten control really quick, and we don't have to get into a higher use of force. Now, the only reason I'm saying it's probably going to be a higher use of force is not because I've seen the video, but we know how police activity is. They don't really show stuff that just goes smooth and easy.
SPEAKER_03So I'm a drop you right now. And do it. Let's go. There's a gun.
SPEAKER_17Oh shit. Shots fired. Shots fired. It's gonna be Nicholas.
SPEAKER_03Jason. Get us the air, give us units now.
SPEAKER_17Shots fired, give us the air. We got one a gun points in the game. Back alley.
SPEAKER_06Show me your fucking hand, Jason!
SPEAKER_17Jason Nicholson. Jason! Put the gun down now! Put it down!
SPEAKER_02Now Jason!
SPEAKER_17Put the gun down! You want a cigarette, boss? Yeah! Okay, come out here, boss. We don't want to hurt you. Where's the gun? Jason, put the gun down, please. Jason. It doesn't have to go this way, boss. Jason, put the gun down. Please. Please put the gun down. No, we we don't have time for that, Jason. Can you put the gun down, please? Put a nine in the collar that is lighting up and that's right.
SPEAKER_15Just straight down. Hands up perfect. This way. Just straight out.
SPEAKER_03That way.
SPEAKER_15Can you keep your hands when they can see off you can see them? Someone will contact you. Hands up and they can see them. You guys are off.
SPEAKER_12You guys are off. You guys are off. They're off.
Over-Deescalation Risks And Gun Grab
SPEAKER_11I mean, that's crazy. That that's what that went to after being shot at. You know, I think that officer did very good. I may have to take my cough medicine here soon. Um, and big props to this dude for in the middle of guns pointed at him being in a gunfight, was like, you know what? I'm gonna light up my meth pipe. Just um priorities is what it is. So I don't know. What do you guys think? I'm more upset with the officer. He let it get to that point. Like I said, had he slammed him, took him down to the ground, and started getting his hands under control, he'd have never got to that gun. We wouldn't be in this position. This is the point I try to make when I try to tell you guys that sometimes being offensive as a cop, it looks bad, but it prevents worse things from happening. It's a hard concept for I get it. It is a hard concept to accept. But I I promise you. Um Jason is a crystal Methodist. Um yeah, that's uh that is a if he would have just taken him down, I don't know that we would have got there. What do you guys think about that? Would you would you have been upset with a cop if he had just slammed on the ground and started putting him under arrest? Cause who knows? He might have felt the gun and been able to keep it pinned until his partner got there. It didn't look like his partner was too far off. They kind of triangulated on him pretty quickly. So I bet he was around the corner. Damn it. Um, let me see here. Where are we at? We're at an hour and a half. Ryan said, I don't have any training, but it looks like the cop unnecessarily risked his own life trying to reason with this guy. This is where the de-escalation can get you into trouble. We make such a big deal that cops need to de-escalate that they they over-de-escalate and uh they get themselves into scenarios like this. And that is hard. That is hard to deal with when you're in the court of public opinion. Uh because now you're causing cops to be unsafe because they feel like they have to try to de-escalate, de-escalate, de-escalate. And look what this guy did. He got into such a de-escalation that he got shot at because the guy fired a shot first. So is what it is. Is Freeman out? I have to call it a night. I'll be listening for a few minutes, but hope you all have a great night. Thanks for reappreciate you. I'm gonna be calling a night here soon, too. I got one more video, and I'm gonna call it a night because I gotta take some cough medicine and I gotta get up bright and early, and I've been used to working nights, so hopefully this cough medicine knocks me out too. Oh fuck. All right, where are we at? Let's uh make sure the sound isn't blast. Okay, we're on top quality. Let's share the screen. Here we go. I will admit the show runs a lot faster and smoother when it's just me. Love you, Alan. Love you, Benny. Uh let me biggie size this. Here we go. All right, got about a three-minute video. All right, we're in a pursuit, chasing after a car. So I'm gonna be calling out direction of travel. I'm gonna be calling out how much traffic I see, uh, road conditions, weather conditions, stuff like that, to the supervisor that's listening, just so he knows what I'm facing, and he can make a determination if uh I should still be chasing or not. And more than likely, me as a supervisor, I'm gonna be like, what are we chasing him for? If he says the guy ran a stop sign where I'm at, I'm gonna be like, eh, it ain't worth the risk, don't chase him. Um, if it's, you know, this guy's got a homicide warrant on his license plate that hit, I'm gonna be like, all right, chase him till the wheels fall off. So let's keep going. Oh, it's a n angle. This is ideal chasing conditions. There's nobody on the damn road. This is perfect. No cars I've seen yet. I like this. And you're about to see a dog go get a bite. Which on this I'm okay with. All that smoke is because his car's running super hot and he just hit some puddles. Not on fire necessarily, at least I don't think it is. But when you go chasing after somebody like this, you the brake fade and the smell that your car gives. Just the police car in itself. I can only imagine this little egg that this guy's driving.
SPEAKER_06You're gonna get bit all right.
SPEAKER_11So this is this is when canines earn their paycheck. This is the best time to launch one. You don't gotta worry about too many people out and about. And that dog's been amped up, ready to go since this chase got started. So let's see.
SPEAKER_04You're gonna get bit, Master, take this guy, take this guy, Master. Take this guy right here, Master. Right here, Master. Take that guy, take him, take him, take him, Master, take him, Master. Take that guy, good boy, good boy, Master, take that guy, put your hands behind your back. You're gonna keep me a bit, take that guy, Master. Hand behind your back, hand behind your back, good boy, Master.
SPEAKER_11Look at the compliance. That is what you want to see. The guy instantly put his hands behind his back. This guy's this is a good dog trainer, too. Like, he is praising his dog at the right time. Nah, I'm not a canine handler. Banning's gonna be mad that we did this video without him, by the way. Um, but yeah, this is this is um textbook so far.
SPEAKER_04Good boy! Good boy, yeah, good boy, Asher. Take that guy. Yeah, good boy, good boy, good boy, watch that guy, Asher. Watch her good job, Asher, good job, Asher, good boy, dude.
Pursuit Tactics And A Textbook K9 Bite
SPEAKER_11That's that's how they go. What do you guys think? What's your opinion of dogs? Just curious. Um, I'm me personally, like I in this scenario, I'm okay with it. Like, this is when I'm cool with dogs. Like, I I just when I know somebody has a gun or a knife, I don't like when they let dogs go and we know the person's armed. I just I don't like that. And I've seen and I understand there's uh some people that have the viewpoint that the dogs are a tool. I just I like dogs too much. I can't. I can't I cannot put them into danger intentionally. Something like this where we see the guy running and can't see anything in his hands, it's a good time to go bite. Let's fucking go. I like that, or a hound dog sniffing somebody down or trying to find cell phones or contraband or any of that stuff. I like that. Like that works. Dogs are fucking great, but I don't like putting them in a bad spot. But no, that was uh Penn Devil Pup said that was awesome. It was a pretty good use of a dog, huh? Yeah, that that was that was textbook. I mean, that canine handler needs to be proud. That was very good work. It's one of those things where you don't see the the canine like running next to him and looking around and has no interest in doing its job. That's always very embarrassing. Michelle Campbell said, my canine was my best partner. See, there's I I wanted to do canine for the Air Force when I was active duty, it just didn't fall. The cards didn't fall properly. But yeah, that was great. John Dard said, I love it, canines are an incredible asset. Agreed. Um what did they say? Uh Lane Storm said the fact that police officers say they love their canine partner and they will send them into a travel trailer with a tweaker and 12 gauge. Yeah, I'm with you on that. Like, how do you say you love your dog and you're gonna send him into something like that? I couldn't do it. Could not do it. I'm with you. I'm with you on that. I I don't like it. I don't like sending your dog in with somebody that's a known danger. And people are like, well, dog's life isn't the same as humans. Agreed. I I don't I don't put a dog's life at the same level as a human, but I'm also not going to put my dog's life uh in a no-win situation. I'd rather figure out other ways around it. That's just me. I'm not saying I'm right, I'm just telling you my opinion. Just I'm I'm too soft-hearted for it. I promise you. That's my I'm too soft-hearted for dogs. I'll tell you that right now. Any animal. I I don't want to see you send any animal in into a known danger. Just me. Um, Marine Blood said, definitely sketchy, but 100% would if it's it's the difference between life of an officer or a canine. Yeah, see, and that and it I'm not saying you're wrong either. It's just not my I just not for me. I couldn't do it. That's why I'm not a canine officer. If I was a canine officer, I'd be like a scent dog. I wouldn't be anything else. Probably would not be a bite dog. But yeah. I see how effective it is, but man, it's hard to see a dog getting used to hurt others and get hurt. Nothing against the handlers, people that feel different. Yeah, it it's I fully acknowledge it's not I don't I don't think that my way or the highway type mindset, I just I couldn't do it. I couldn't do it. I couldn't make the call either. Couldn't make the call. I just I couldn't do it. Now, okay, there are scenarios let me let me backpedal a little bit. There are scenarios where I could see doing it. Like, let's bring up Uvaldi. Like, if you told me I could send a dog in to get that guy to possibly save the kids and distract, I'm gonna do that. That's I could do that. Put it that way. You guys know me. If you're part of our Discord channel, you guys know I'm showing my dog off all the time. Like, there's just no way. I'm a my dog sleeps up on the bed with me, sleeps up on the couch with me. I got two. And it just especially my male, my Doberman is my boy. That is my I never had a son. He's my son right now. That's my buddy. He's a big buddy. That's what I call him too. Big buddy. Um Michelle said uh that her canine did get injured and had to retire him, but he's been with her since uh 14 and a half years now. That's good. That's a good time. Shannery said, I totally agree with you, Sarge, on the use of canines. Yeah, see, I'm not the only one. Make me feel a little better. Thank you. Um, Lane said also, if you don't think that being bit by a dog is a form of punishment, you're an idiot. What happened to innocent until proven guilty? Uh, I don't. I don't think that's a form of punishment at all. So I I'll be an idiot. Um, it's no different than if you start to pull away or I have to chase you. Now the use of force is different. It's a use of force, it's not punishment. I'm not doing it to just be mean, I'm doing it to affect an arrest. What's the difference if you swing at me? I duck and I hit you with a freaking nice right hook. And I knock you out. Still justified. It's not I not I didn't do it for punishment. I did it because you tried to hit me. If you're fleeing from me, I can justify a pit maneuver. I can justify taking you down, I can justify if you start pulling away, it's all the same stuff. It's not deadly force. Use of force is absolutely justified. So I don't I don't agree with you on that, Lane. Um finding people, yes, putting them on people no, and I think the car searches are bullshit. I'm assuming that's what that meant. Um I I'm on the fence because I've seen really awesome canine training where like especially the blind smelt, like you guys would have to see the videos. Um, but I've seen this in person where they've got uh I'm talking uh 30 suitcases and they're all jumbled up, and that dog will come in and find whatever it is that you hid. And I'm talking, it's the most micro of things, and they find it, and I'm like, that's incredible, and they'll do it repeatedly without fail 40 times, and they never get it wrong. And you're like, holy shit. So when they say they find something on a car, I can believe it. But I've seen dogs that have been improperly trained and they get they they get rewarded the improperly, and the dogs will hit because they want to get rewarded. So you do have to be careful. So I I I agree. I think there needs to be a standardized training for canines, and I don't know, I don't know enough about dogs to say if that's possible. I don't know. But there's been plenty of cases that showed canines false hitting. So cops can be pissy about that all they want, but it's happened. So that puts doubt in people's minds, and I think that that's a fair doubt. So if you're going to be using your canine, I would want to know that that training has been vetted and no pun intended, but uh and stands up. So all right, guys. We are at almost two hours. I have struggled through this terrible Wi-Fi. I apologize. I hope it came across decent for y'all. I'm going to download the audio and we'll put that on our Spotify and Apple. And then also, Spotify and Apple, I know, are starting to do this thing where I can put where video can be put on there by any podcaster now. I don't know if I have the ability to do that yet. So I will start trying to look to see if I can do that. Um, just if just to give you guys more options and instead of having to go to YouTube, I like watching podcasts on Spotify. Personally, that's what I like. I watch Rogan on there, I watch Two Bears, One Cave. Um, with Burt Kreischer and Tom Sakura. So um Devil Pup said it was fine for him. I appreciate it, man. Um, listen, anybody that I I'm sorry, it was just me. I was a one-man show tonight, and I if somebody donated, I appreciate that. Uh, all your donations and money that go towards the show, they go directly to the show. Um, they don't go in our pocket or anything like that. It does help motivate us and keep us doing what we do. So I really appreciate that. Michelle said, I'm off. My shift feel better. Gargo with some pickle juice at work. Oh, I love pickles. I eat pickles all the time. So um, Ward said, get on Rumble. Yeah, I do need we have a Rumble account. It just we can't get it linked up. Some there's some tech thing in the way. We gotta figure that out. Uh, but yes. So try to get all that stuff going. Really appreciate it, guys. Thank you again for anybody that helped out and donated uh and jumped down and chatted tonight. Really appreciate it. If you haven't liked, followed, shared, please do so. Cost you nothing. It means the world to me, I promise. Thank you very much for that. And uh, if you already do those things, just find one person. Say, hey, check out this nut job of a cop that thinks he can make a difference. Uh watch him watch him struggle on shore like a fish out of water. Uh I'm gonna keep trying, guys. Uh April will be five years. April's our fifth year, so we're almost there. So I really appreciate all the support. Thank you guys for uh participating tonight. And I am going to probably try to do a live stream tomorrow night just to see what the difference is on my phone. So be ready for that.
