The Discourses of Jesus: Introduction
Welcome to the Gospel Series- The Discourses of Jesus. We are going to explore the Lord’s sermons and discover their rich significance for us today. A discourse is teaching in various styles designed to communicate spiritual truths, religious principles, or moral lessons; it can be a short dissertation or lengthy complex series of interwoven nuggets of spiritual understanding. Jesus purposefully brought forth an abundant impartation of rich treasure- revelation truth of the Kingdom of God. Of which He is both Lord and Master forever!
Mark 1:21-22
They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach. The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law.
Mark 10:1
Jesus then left that place and went into the region of Judea and across the Jordan. Again crowds of people came to him, and as was his custom, he taught them.
