Show Notes

In this episode we speak with the Reverend Olivia Hamilton who serves as the Curate at Calvary Episcopal Church in the Clifton neighborhood of Cincinnati, and until very recently served as a full-time chaplain at Cincinnati’s Children’s Hospital in the Psychiatry department. She feels deeply called to working with children with mental illness and their families.

Olivia received her Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School in 2015. For two years after that she served as an assistant chaplain to college students through the Episcopal Chaplaincy at Harvard. Olivia’s family includes her wife Molly (who is a nurse practitioner in the Children’s Hospital Trans* Clinic), their adopted daughter and foster son, as well as their rescue.

Both Olivia and Molly are Cincinnati natives, who enjoy cooking, spending time in the woods, and hanging out with their big extended family.

As you’ll see during our time together, Olivia discusses some important points about how we can bring about a more just Cincinnati in relation to the LGBTQ+ community and our communities of faith.
