Welcome back to Transform Your Mind to Transform Your Life the podcast. You're listening to a solo episode with Coach Myrna. And today I want to basically introduce to you the theme of the month. And the theme of the month is Healing the Body by Healing the Mind. So I'm going to ask you a question. What if the pain in your body is carrying a story your mind has been afraid to tell? What if the anxiety, the fatigue, the inflammation, the autoimmune diagnosis, the migraines, the tight chest are not betrayals but signals? Right. So this month we want to introduce that if we heal the mind, then we also heal the body. And I'm bringing you several conversations on this topic. But first, what I want to do is let you know why when you heal the mind, you heal the body. And then I will introduce some of the you know the speakers that we're gonna have on this topic. So this is not surface level self-help. This is not just think positive. This is about understanding the deep, intimate relationship between your thoughts, your trauma, your nervous system, your beliefs, and your physical health. Because the truth is your body remembers what your mind tries to forget. So in the first segment, I want to talk about how your body keeps the score. And there is a reason that trauma shows up physically. Experts like Gaber Matti have spent decades studying how suppressed emotions and chronic stress contribute to disease. Researchers like Bruce Lipton teach us that our beliefs influence our biology through epigenetics. And teachers like Joe's Dispensa show how changing the thought patterns can literally rewire your brain and impact healing. But let's make this personal. How many of us grew up in survival mode? I know I did. We learned to suppress our anger, we swallowed grief, we let people invade our boundaries, we overrode exhaustion, and the body kept the receipts and then gave it back to us. What high blood pressure, autoimmune issues, digestive problems, chronic fatigue, hormonal imbalance, tension, headaches. The body whispers, then it nudges, then it screams, right? You don't pay attention to the small pain, it's gonna get bigger and bigger and bigger. If you don't pay attention when it tells you something is wrong, then guess what? You have a crisis, right? So, yes, I love that. It whispers and then it nudges and then it screams, and you say, Oh, bloody hell, I can't take this anymore. Right. So, so I also want to talk about how survival mode is expensive. When you live in chronic stress, your nervous system stays in fight, flight, freeze, or fawn. You didn't know there was a fourth one, right? Your cortisol stays elevated, and when your cortisol stays elevated, guess what happens? You can't sleep, which starts another host of problems. But inflammation increases, your sleep suffers, and your healing slows. Cortisol is not good, y'all. And here's the part that many women don't hear. You cannot heal in the same emotional environment that made you sick. If your thoughts are constantly, I'm not safe, I'm not enough, I have to hold everything together, else everything falls apart. If I rest, things will fall apart. They need me. I gotta do it. Your body will respond as if danger is always present. Because to your nervous system, your thoughts are instructions. So, what are we gonna talk about this month? This month, we're gonna examine these instructions. First up, we look at the the receipt of emotional healing and addiction, right? Then we look at sexual addiction. Turns out that this comes from a failure to connect to our caregivers. Next, we look at fertility through the lens of nervous system regulation. Trauma influences our ability, conceive, women. Week four, we look at faith and healing. We look at the spiritual side of your thoughts and how having a prayer life can actually heal your body. Week five, we look at epigenetics and belief programming or reprogramming. We look at the signs of the mind and how epigenetics and neuroplasticity, which is rewiring the mind, can be the foundations of healing. Week six, we look at forgiveness and emotional release. We close out the series with a powerful confirm confirmation conversation and how your emotions are causing cancer in your body. I've heard about this for a long time. Apparently, it's true. Cancer most times is caused by lifestyle choices and our thoughts and repressed emotions, having people invade your boundaries, you know, being being in toxic relationships. It contributes to cancer, which is why it's so rampant, rampant. So we need to heal the body so that we can heal. Sorry, we need to heal the mind so that we can heal our bodies. So I hope you follow this series because you will never think about the mind and the body as separate after this. So, why are we talking about healing the body by healing the mind? Healing the body by healing the mind is not about blame. It is not you caused your illness, it's your body adapted to protect you. Your anxiety once kept you alert, your hyperindependence once kept you safe. Your numbness once helped you survive. But survival strategies become stress patterns when they are never turned off. Healing begins when you give your body new signals like I'm safe now, I don't have to earn love. Rest is allowed, boundaries are protection. I can release what I've been carrying. And when those beliefs shift, biology often follows. To sum up, this month we will talk science, we will talk psychology, we will talk nervous system regulation, and yes, we will talk spirit because healing is holistic. You are not just a body, you're not just a brain, you're not just a diagnosis, you are a whole being. So, this is an invitation to heal your body by healing your mind. Instead of asking, why is my body failing me? Ask, what is my body trying to teach me or tell me? Instead of fighting your symptoms, listen to them. Instead of silencing your pain, get curious about it. Why is my leg hurting? Why do I have this headache? Healing doesn't start in the pharmacy, it often starts in awareness. And awareness leads to compassion, compassion leads to regulation, regulation leads to restoration. So this month, we are not just managing symptoms, we are transforming patterns. We are healing the body by healing the mind. And I am honored to walk this journey with you. So, if this introductory episode resonated with you, share it with a woman who has been carrying too much for far too long.
