probably say, Yeah, that checks out, right? 00:10:18.879 --> 00:10:31.519 Man, part of the ethos of our country is a belief that people have the right to determine their destiny, that people have individual choice, the freedom to make individual choice, and there's an emphasis on personal responsibility. 00:10:31.679 --> 00:10:34.879 And on the surface level, we would all say amen to that. you're dependent on, it might be yourself. 00:11:38.639 --> 00:11:46.960 So no matter what you're dependent on or who you're dependent on, that's going to take you in a direction, and there's really stunted shrubs in the desert with no hope for the future. 00:12:05.360 --> 00:12:09.519 They will live in a barren wilderness in an uninhabited, salty land. 00:12:10.559 --> 00:12:10.879 Okay. affliction. 00:13:05.519 --> 00:13:14.080 So really what God is saying is that hey, one direction is going to take you down a path you really don't want to go down, it's going to take you through some family is dependent on me. 00:13:39.679 --> 00:13:49.120 They're dependent on me to be a good husband and a good father to protect them, to provide for them, to be a good man who loves them and tend to lump dependency on God into that same category, and that's the problem. 00:15:11.519 --> 00:15:17.120 And there's two factors, two common factors right now that I see that just kind of from the Lord, just like Jeremiah 17 says. 00:16:45.600 --> 00:16:54.639 Like instead of thanking God, they allowed the strength and success that God gave them to cause them to forget God.
