Hey, welcome. Uh Domain Dave, cheapwinefinder.com. I got another wine here today. It's a cheapie. Um, they're always cheapy because that's what we do. We're cheap winefinder. This one's$5.99, and it's from Aldi. Aldi hasn't been really going crazy on wines lately. Uh, the whole wine industry is down. I've said this a bunch of times, like 14 to 20% in the last couple of years. People young, especially younger people, aren't drinking. I don't know what they're doing because they don't seem to be that uh sober. But um, but that's what we got here today, and this is a oh, this is kind of a silly one to have to say. Kambala la Chenin Blanc 2025. It's I think the first 2025 one I had from South Africa to Western Cape. Western Cape is just about all the wine regions in South Africa, with the exception of a few off to the side. Um, Chen and Blanc is a wine that's originally from the Laura Valley in France, and it's it's a really versatile um grape. You can make a sweet wine, make a dry wine, you you can uh Asian oak, you can do malolectic fermentation, you can no malolectic fermentation, you can make a sparkling wine, you can um, you can it it does everything. Different production uh techniques make the wine uh different, which is one of the problems it has with becoming supremely popular, is everybody makes it different, and you oh, I like that one, and you I'll buy another Shannon Blanc, and it's not the same thing, and you really don't uh get the you go, okay. My other one was a fluke, I don't remember the name was, I'm not drinking Shannon anymore. So I'm gonna take a sip of this one because this is$5.99. You have no reasons not to give this one a try. Oh about 20 years ago, South Africa was gonna be your value wine leader, and they had uh Shiraz, the Australian version of uh Shira. And all of a sudden they just stopped and they said, no, we're gonna start focusing on our different growing regions, and we're gonna start making the best wines, not the cheapest wines, though this is a cheap wine, but it turned out that Channel Blanc grows very well in South Africa, to where if you're looking for a really good Channel Blanc nowadays at a really affordable price, South Africa might be a better place than the Lower Valley, though it's still really good in the Lower Valley. But there you go. So this is from South Africa, Western Cape, a huge area. The Aldi in Europe sells this wine, it sells it in the United States and probably sells it in Australia too, where all the all the places where Aldi's are. So at$5.99, they can really get an economy uh you know uh from numbers from you know there's they're selling so much of this wine that they can get the price down because I've seen it uh be ten dollars in other places. And a ten dollar white wine is not cheap, you know. I think I think I think twelve doll is premium wine. I mean they'll they'll it's it's not a high number. But$5.99 you go, oh no, that can't be any good. Well, yeah, it can. It is um, it's a dry wine, it's got a little sweetness to it. It's kind of sweet. If you if you uh if you nose it, it's you think it's gonna be because there's some like candy spices on it. But it's soft, smooth, and balanced. It's got peach and pear and apple, um, some maybe kiwi, some of the um maybe a little melon. It's got really nice flavors, none of them go overboard, they're all kind of subtle, and it's got really good acidity. So a lot of times uh it's 12.5 on the alcohol, which means it doesn't have a lot of alcohol, uh, and then it might not have a lot of acidity too, and that might be another good thing. Lower alcohol, lower acidity, and it it just kind of goes right along with these nice flavors because it doesn't jump out at you, but you put a nice chill on it, and this is this is a nice wine to drink. It just, I mean, I haven't tasted it without a chill. Uh, this camel, what is it? Cambalala, cambalala also has a Sauvignon Blanc. I don't know if the store still had it, it was out about a year ago. Uh, this Shannon Blanc's kind of the new one from that, but the uh Sauvignon Blanc was uh good too, so the Cambolala uh brand might be something to keep an eye on because this is at$5.99. This is a nice little wine. If you're having like a little people coming over, especially when it starts to warm up, and you want to have you know, you want a white wine, you're not going crazy, you want people to have a sip a glass uh, you know, sip on a glass of wine. Well, this is it, this is sipping wine, and you can have a$5.99, you can you can get a bunch of bottles and not spend any money at all. Just took another sip, and um, like I said, every sip has been a good sip on this. There's no bad off notes, there's nothing out of place. This is just a wine that kind of just sips really great. It's well made. Like I said, it has good acidity, it's got some length to it. It's it's not a wine that you would think costs$5.99. And like I did say, I think it's available for ten dollars elsewhere where Aldi doesn't sell the wine on the internet. I think I've seen that, but most of the time it's uh and it's big in Europe, all it's 4.6 or whatever that is, and over there. But$5.99 six bucks for a Shannon Blanc, no oak young wine 2025. You gotta remember that their um their winters and our summers are reversed, so it doesn't have a lot of age, it's one of those wines you're gonna well, all the wines they sell out right away. But it's one of those wines you want to take it home and drink it. You're not you're not gonna sit around any length of time. But it is good, and you um make sure how many they have because at some point you might want to go back at the price and get a couple more. So that's it for me, domain Davecheapwinefighter.com. Like I said, we found a$5.99 Shun and Block that is great for outside entertaining, great for sitting on the patio, great for Netflix. Just a good little sip of wine. So I've got a bunch more coming. I've got uh I didn't do anything for Easter, but we got some fun wines for the spring. So audios, keep it cheap. Uh, we'll be talking to everyone in a couple of days. Um, and that's it. I'll talk to everyone this weekend. Adios, bye bye.
